Homepage - Add app tiles to homepage for easy access
Ability to choose favourite apps and add them either to the top menu bar or the homepage. It will turn 2 clicks into 1 click which seems picky but when launching hubdoc often it would really speed things up
2 votesThanks for sharing, Andrew. Good to know the use you'd find in being able to add an app to your homepage directly for ease of access.
Lets get a wider sense of the interest in this from community here. I'll let you know if there are any plans made.

Homepage - Display the total dollar value of "Awaiting Approval" bills at the top of the Bills widget
In the "Bills to Pay" widget, include the bills "Awaiting Approval" $value at the top of the widget, in bigger font, so it's more visible
2 votesHi Geoff, thanks for the suggestion. We understand that seeing the “Awaiting Approval” dollar value only at the bottom of the “Bills to Pay” widget can make it harder to spot at a glance. Moving this figure to the top and using a larger font would make it much easier to track upcoming cash requirements and make faster financial decisions.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share with our product teams how improving visibility on the dashboard could help you stay on top of accounts payable.

Users & Setup - Automatically redirect to the previous page after a session timeout and re-login
At the moment if not all tasks have been completed in a work day, opening up the browser window again from where you left off will log you out. When you log in again, you are diverted to the homepage with no way of clicking back to go back to the page you were on. This is a massive waste of time, please allow us to restore our tabs which had things like custom reports and other things we started working on.
2 votesHi everyone, we understand that being sent back to the homepage after a session timeout can interrupt your workflow, especially when you’re in the middle of a specific report or transaction. It can be a bit inconvenient to lose your place and have to navigate back, and we completely get how that affects your productivity.
Some community members have mentioned ways to work around this, like keeping an eye on the session timeout or using browser bookmarks for deep links. At the same time, we agree that a smoother experience that automatically returns you to your last page would be really helpful.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how this “return to page” functionality could save you time and make your workflow easier.

Homepage | Invoice and Bills widgets - Option to make smaller
Make invoices to pay & bills boxes smaller these are the two functions I use most & now have to scroll down every time i want to use them
2 votesHiya team, happy to share an update as this is something we're currently working on. Our team are developing the ability to reduce the size of these widgets and more control of the data shown.
I'll round back to let you know once this goes out 😊

Homepage – Show Chart of Accounts Quarterly Budget on the Widget
Like many business' we operate more on qrtly budgets than monthly due to month to month volatility.
I love the chart of accounts widget but for us it would ideally be able to show this quarter as well as this month2 votesHi there, thanks for sharing this! it’s clear that having a quarterly budget figure on the Chart of Accounts watchlist widget would make managing your finances even easier. We can see how having that data live on the dashboard would give you a quick, clear snapshot for proactive planning without needing to switch to the full Budget Manager report.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much this extra flexibility could help you stay on top of your long-term goals.

Homepage - Add shortcut to create repeating invoice
Shortcut to add recurring invoice via a simple UX - just add a drop down next to the 'New invoice' button. Similar to what you already have in the Sales overview page.
2 votesHi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea! We can see how having a “Create Repeating Invoice” shortcut right on the dashboard would make managing recurring invoicing faster and more seamless.
Currently, you navigate through the Invoices menu to reach the Repeating tab, which adds extra steps. I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can track interest and understand how much this shortcut could help streamline regular invoicing.

Bank Reconciliation - Show number of lines 'Auto-reconciled' since last login
Add the number of transactions that have been auto reconciled (since last login) for each bank account so that we need to check the auto reconciled transactions rather than think that there is nothing to reconcile. Now we have to drill down into each account to check if there was anything and this takes longer than reconciling the transactions in the first place, making it easier to turn off the auto reconcilie functionality.
2 votesHi Kathy, a quick “recap” of what’s happened while you were away could be really useful—especially when automation is handling a lot of the work, it’s reassuring to have that confirmation without having to dig through transactions.
For now, you can review all reconciled statement lines via “View all reconciled” from the last date you previously checked. It does take manual effort to remember the exact date, but it’s a practical workaround for now.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support, and it’d be great to hear from you and others about how you’d use a summary feature—your examples really help the team understand its potential impact.

Home Page - Ability to stop "auto sort" and put widgets in specific places on the home screen
I hate the unpredictability of how widgets jump around the page to different places when trying to move one widget elsewhere. Why cant I just place a widget in the lower right corner away from everything else? Why do they all have to squash up the top?

Send Suggestion to Xero that Quick Actions widget should be listed in alphabetical order or by action. Really messy the way it is as there i
New Quick Actions widget on home page should be listed in alphabetical order and/or by actions so they are easier to get to. Current list appears to be by priority order, but quick actions are different for every user. Also would be good if you could resize this widget to make it larger.

Homepage - Include Purchase Orders awaiting approval in the Tasks widget
Our CEO loves having the new Tasks widget so she can easily navigate to the bills awaiting approval. She checks the list regularly so things get approved much faster.
I have to tell her when there are Purchase Orders awaiting approval though, and she then needs to navigate to the right spot. It would be much more efficient for these to show in the task list please.1 voteThanks for bringing this suggestion to the community, Clare.
Having Purchase Orders awaiting approval included in the Tasks widget could make it easier to manage approvals from one place and reduce the need to check the Purchase Orders list separately.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue gathering feedback. If this would be useful, share how you’d like these approval tasks to appear.

Cashflow - Quick check to report solvency
have an optional widget where you can set up your own quick ratio calculation, so you can see if you are trading insolvent or not, at a glance. The idea would be to tick off the accounts in the chart of accounts that are relevant e.g. bank accs, inventory, debtors, payables... but make the choices entirely the choice of the user
1 vote🌟 Thanks for sharing this idea.
We can see the value in having an optional way to monitor short-term solvency at a glance, whether through a custom quick ratio widget or the ability to run a cash flow report. The flexibility to choose which accounts are included would make this more relevant for different businesses and reporting preferences.
We’re moving this idea to gaining support so we can better understand how many others would find this useful.

Homepage - Show "No bank feed set up" instead of "Last updated " on unlinked accounts
Bank feed showing as last updated Jan 1 but it used to show that no bank feed had been set up. Please can we go back to the more meaningful description.
I've been asking new clients to check their bank feed when I should have still been chasing them to set it up. Now they're totally confused.
1 voteHi Della, thanks for sharing this idea. Clear status wording on the dashboard really matters, especially when you are managing clients and keeping track of accounts that need attention.
We hear the need for clearer messaging on unlinked accounts, like showing “No bank feed set up” instead of a generic “Last updated [date]” when there is no connection in place.
We’ll continue to track interest and share it with the relevant product teams.

Dashboard - Chart of accounts watchlist to include previous month
We utilise the chart of accounts watchlist as a quick snap shot of our month. It would be great to be able to add a previous month option to this. So we can see this month, previous month & YTD in this watchlist without having to run a P&L report to cross check everything
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea. We appreciate you sharing how having the previous month figures alongside current month and YTD data in the Chart of Accounts Watchlist could make for a much more useful at-a-glance view on the Dashboard.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!
Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.

Homepage - View date bank feed requires refreshing
Please reinstate this notation wthin each access box/widget . It's useful.
"This account will stop importing transactions on ?? ?? ????
1 voteHi Alain, thanks for contributing your idea. We can see how having clearer visibility of bank feed reauthentication dates would help, especially when managing multiple accounts.
Having expiry information visible directly from the bank account widget on the homepage could make it easier to stay ahead of feeds disconnecting and avoid interruptions to transaction imports.
We understand the value of keeping these reminders more visible within day-to-day workflows, so we’ve updated the idea to Gaining Support while we continue tracking the feedback and interest shared here.

Homepage - Customise widgets to display by contact groups
It would be great to be able to customise any invoice related widgets on the home dashboard because different staff look after different types of customers all of whom have been assigned to their own contact groups.
It would be good for individual staff to be able to customise their widgets to only show customers in their respective groups to monitor overdue invoices etc. at a glance
1 voteThanks for sharing this here, we understand that having a watch list with contact groups attached would be beneficial. We've opened this idea up for the community to add their votes and share their thoughts. We'll monitor this space for more traction in the meantime.

Homepage - Bills to pay/Awaiting Payment screen to group by date range
TASKS Tab - Make the Hyperlink to "Overdue Invoices" filterable by date range - or more simply add 'several' system generated date ranges ie: (1) 0-30 days Overdue; (2) 31-90 days; (3) 90+ days. This would make instant "Aged Receivables Reviews" a breeze - as smaller businesses have more tolerance for mild customer payment delays - but need to focus on those debtors with invoices that aged beyond several months.
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea about filtering overdue invoices by date ranges on the homepage. We appreciate you explaining how this could help with aged receivables reviews.
