  1. Cash in and out is very helpful, however, any organisation that offers lead time and credit terms is often more focused on sales rather than income. There is no month to date, year to date sales widigit.

    I get that the home page can't be all things to all people, but in part you are trying to make it a KPI dashboard without fully facilitating the needs of many.

  2. New Homepage - Profit and Loss Widget - needs to have a "This financial year" option as we want to see current, not history. Current is the important one when keeping on track with finances, not what happened last year.

  3. While on bank reconciliation page or on bank transactions page, we can see number of pages and also there is next and previous page option but these options only appear at the bottom of the page, it would be good to see these option on the top of the page as well.

  4. When I add the "expenses to review" widget to the homepage, this shows the expenses that are needing approval, and how much is to be paid.

    At the moment I have all my expenses reviewed, and some that now need payment. Why is this information also not replicated in the "Tasks" widget?

    What is the point of a "Tasks" widget if it doesn't summarise all the needed actions highlighted across all the selected/displayed widgets? At the moment the listed tasks appear to only summarise a few widgets (and even then regardless of whether those widgets are selected to be shown…

    Thanks for your feedback, Paul. Good to hear the different details that our customers would find most helpful at a glance. While we don't have plans for adding a recently paid bills widget like the invoices one just at this time we'll start to track interest in this here and I'll update you if there's any news.

  6. Profit and Loss widget needs to be able to switch between cash and accrual as per the app.

    I also believe a GST payable could be another small widget so that business can see daily/weekly/monthly/qtr how much they should put aside for gst liability. As i constantly put this account onto the watched accounts dashboard for all clients and I know others do also.

  7. Add employee homepage calendar to main homepage as a widgets. You have no idea how many employee birthdays i have missed and that would solve that problem!!!! Sounds like an easy one

  8. Ability to choose favourite apps and add them either to the top menu bar or the homepage. It will turn 2 clicks into 1 click which seems picky but when launching hubdoc often it would really speed things up

    Thanks for sharing, Andrew. Good to know the use you'd find in being able to add an app to your homepage directly for ease of access.

    Lets get a wider sense of the interest in this from community here. I'll let you know if there are any plans made.

  9. At the moment if not all tasks have been completed in a work day, opening up the browser window again from where you left off will log you out. When you log in again, you are diverted to the homepage with no way of clicking back to go back to the page you were on. This is a massive waste of time, please allow us to restore our tabs which had things like custom reports and other things we started working on.

  10. Why can't we get the "PRODUCTS" on our App Dashboard to enable us to check the product and prices ( will be very handy if shows the available quantity as well) to check whenever we get a call from our customer, who is asking for a product price and available quantity ?

    PRIT ( Truck Tyres Helpline ) using this for Invoicing

  13. Like many business' we operate more on qrtly budgets than monthly due to month to month volatility.
    I love the chart of accounts widget but for us it would ideally be able to show this quarter as well as this month

    Hi there, thanks for sharing this! it’s clear that having a quarterly budget figure on the Chart of Accounts watchlist widget would make managing your finances even easier. We can see how having that data live on the dashboard would give you a quick, clear snapshot for proactive planning without needing to switch to the full Budget Manager report.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much this extra flexibility could help you stay on top of your long-term goals.

  14. Would love a widget that shows the leave requests sorted by closest leave date to later leave dates with a filter option to adjust to be able to show just pending approval, just approved or all.

    Another widget that would be helpful is a summary of timesheets submitted for the current pay period/ next due pay run.

    Hi Tamara, thanks for sharing this suggestion. Having a Timesheet Summary widget available directly on the dashboard sounds like it could make it much easier to keep an eye on submitted hours and stay on top of approvals without needing to navigate into Payroll.

    To make sure we can track interest clearly for each request, we keep ideas to one feature per post. Since you also mentioned employee leave requests, I’ve located an existing idea for a Leave Request widget and added your support there so it can continue to gather votes and feedback.

    I’ve moved this post to Gaining Support so we can focus on the Timesheet Summary idea here and track how helpful others would find having this visibility on their dashboard.

  16. Quotes Need a bit of work, You've just added ability to generate a link - that's great, however, still can't share quote in the app.

    While creating a quote for a new customer - you can't add any of their details (but you can if you create an invoice), you have to create new customer first then go back to creating a quote, we have a lot of new customers just walking in.

    Often we'll start on an Invoice Page and we can't just change that invoice to quote once it's started. Is it possible to change invoice to quote…

    Hi Adam, thanks for sharing this idea. We can see how needing to leave the Quotes screen to update a phone number or address interrupts your momentum.

    At the moment, the option is to create a basic contact and then update their details from the Contacts menu afterward. While that works, we understand that being able to enter or edit everything in one place would make the process smoother.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and highlight to our product teams how in-screen editing could simplify the quoting workflow.

  17. Shortcut to add recurring invoice via a simple UX - just add a drop down next to the 'New invoice' button. Similar to what you already have in the Sales overview page.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea! We can see how having a “Create Repeating Invoice” shortcut right on the dashboard would make managing recurring invoicing faster and more seamless.

    Currently, you navigate through the Invoices menu to reach the Repeating tab, which adds extra steps. I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can track interest and understand how much this shortcut could help streamline regular invoicing.

  18. On the "Invoices owed to you widget" please add a button to go straight to "repeating invoices." You currently have "New invoice" and "View all invoices." It looks like you have room to add "Repeating invoices." You could change the text from "View all invoices" to "All invoices" if you needed more room.

    Hi Maggie, appreciate you for sharing your idea and explaining how this would fit into your workflow. It’s helpful to understand where quicker access could make things run more smoothly day to day.

    We’ve moved this idea into Gaining Support, so it’s now open for the community to add votes and comments. Seeing how others respond will help us understand how widely this need is shared.

    As a short-term workaround, you could bookmark the Repeating Invoices page in your browser or pin that tab so it’s always within easy reach. It’s not quite the same as having a dashboard shortcut, but it can help shave off some time while we continue to gather feedback.

  19. VISUAL: Adaptive layout & zoom to fit?

    I use my widescreen monitor to use two windows side-by-side, but then the Xero window has a lot of negative space around the tabs (see image) and the only way I can find to make this larger is to zoom in the browser, but that makes all the browser items zoomed, which I don't want. If I enlarge the Xero tab, the layout adjusts to a sweet spot, but that also doesn't fit nicely on full screen, and I end up clicking between things more than is efficient, so it should ideally sit…

  20. It would be great if you could keep the blue banner fixed at the top of the page. When you are looking at reports having to scroll all the way back up to jump to different pages can be annoying.
