  1. Can we be allowed to change the time selection on the cash in and out view (eg to 12/13 or even 18 months?) seems to be stuck on 6 months for me. I think to see trends you really need to see at least a year

    You're right that the current 'Total Cash In and Out' widget is fixed to a 6-month view.


    While you can see longer periods by running a Cash Summary report, I understand that having that 12 or 18-month trend visible immediately on your dashboard would be much more powerful for spotting seasonal patterns.


    I’ve classified this as 'Gaining Support' to see how many others would like more flexibility with this widget's timeframe

  2. Critically important to our business is being able to easily view 'notes' on overdue invoices next to their overdue amount in a list. No additional click thorughs with each individual invoice number as is the current system.

    Knowing when a reminder was sent and being able to view what their latest response was in a list form would massively help with managing unpaid invoices.

    We create separate spreadsheets to track overdue invoices and bad debt which is inefficient.

    This should be resolved with a quick view in the dashboard to ensure better debt management.

  3. I love the new homepage and how I can customize to make it less busy. I also love the Task widget. It would be great if there was a month end review widget showing a list of bank and credit card accounts with the last reconciliation date.

  4. Hi,
    My first thought is that the home page is overly busy. The graphs are great but there is A LOT going on. We have more than one bank account so that would make the homepage even busier. The task widget is a great idea but the recent invoice payments and chart of accounts aren't really useful for us. We would want to remove widgets that aren't used.

    It would be great to have a projects widget showing project time use and amount on the homepage.

    Love the improved navigation at the top especially the reporting and tax tabs. This…

  5. Chart of Accounts Watchlist
    I would like it to only show some accounts if their balance does not equal 0
    Rather than reporting it when the account is 0 and just occupying space.

    This would be useful for Wages Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts and various other accounts

    Really good to get this sort of detail about aspects of the homepage that you feel could be condensed or removed to help with your experience of the homepage. We're continuing to get an understanding of community interest around this and hear any further detail of where within the page you feel space is unnecessary. Thanks

  7. When customising the homepage view, it would be helpful to have the option to set that customised layout as the default view for all users.

    This would make sure everyone logging into the file sees the same key information and widgets to keep everyone aligned

    Thanks for sharing this here. Currently the reason for this functionality to not exist is because the home page for all users may not appear the same. In particular, the users with the same permission roles will get the same view.


    We've moved this idea to gain more support from the community. You can share this with your peers and colleagues so they can add their vote onto it as well!

  8. Permanently give the option to stay on the old set-up homepge.
    New one is horrendous! Can't select multiple invoices? And if I can then its impossible to workout how.

    Hi Tim, trying to better understand the point you've noted on selecting multiple invoices can you share more on the process you're taking here and what you used to do in the previous Dashboard?

  9. Make the DRAFTS invoices more obvious so they dont get missed. The button is too small

    I needs to have some sort of alert or red notification that an invoice has not been sent yet, or is sitting in draft. As we use external software to send invoices to draft in xero, things can get lost easily.

  10. New layout is great now I've got used to it. I do miss the Tax and Reporting box where I had quick links to useful items such as VAT return, CIS return. Could you add this as an optional widget on the new dashboard please? Thanks.

    Hi Andrea, appreciate your sharing on how having a “Tax and Reporting” shortcut on the dashboard would make accessing tax returns and key reports quicker and simpler. Navigating through multiple menus can slow things down, especially when deadlines are looming.

    In the meantime, you can access your VAT return directly from the Tax menu on the navigation bar for quicker access.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much this shortcut could help make compliance tasks faster and more efficient.

  11. Filter out expense claims from Bills Awaiting Payment

    I input my own money occasionally into the business & don't require paying back, so the expense claim is left "open" & shows up on Bills awaiting payment - thus confusing the amount owing to Bills I have outstanding.

  13. Please add a widget on the homepage that displays the bank accounts in a simple table format, including the account name, balance, and transactions that need reconciliation.

    Overall, the new layout takes up too much space, making it difficult to fit essential information on a screen.

    A more compact view without unnecessary elements would be appreciated.

    And also the optin to disable popup adverts!

  15. I would like the Business Performance graph to remain. Its a useful visual and instant reminder of the performance.

    Additionally adding the VAT liability to the home screen would be extremely useful. Yes I know it changes daily, however a good insight for business and management of cash flow in an instant (without having to produce reports).

    The contents of the proposed Task Bar is just a duplication of information that's already on the home screen therefore not useful to add them collectively on 1 widget. To be able to add our own written task and reminders on a calendar…

    Really good to hear you exploring the new homepage, Estela.

    We ask that each idea is contained to one feature request so that it's easy for other members to understand what they're voting for and we can best keep you updated on any progress on a feature. I've slightly amended the title of your idea here for the first you've shared on the Business Performance dashboard.

    We appreciate hearing how you find this useful, however we want to be upfront that we don't have intentions of adding this to the new Homepage, to make way for new features that will be coming soon. You'll be able to continue accessing key information from the Business Performance Dashboard page.

    The Tax & Reporting widget has been replaced by a new sales tax widget, and depending on your region this will be available in the next 12 months. We also have an idea

  16. I would like to share feedback regarding the new homepage layout.

    While I appreciate that updates aim to improve functionality and modernise the interface, I experienced the new layout as visually overwhelming and cognitively heavier than the previous version.

    Some specific observations:

    Increased visual amplitude
    The larger card sizes, expanded whitespace, and increased typography scale make the dashboard feel more dominant and “loud” compared to the previous compact layout.

    Greater visual emphasis on charts
    The taller and more prominent graphs draw strong attention, even when I simply want to access operational data quickly. This shifts the tone from a bookkeeping…

  17. Can you restore the "Month to Date" or "Current Month" for the Profit / Loss widget. It is available on the mobile app and was on the old layout. Currently we only have the "previous month" as an option for month.

    Having the month available helps keep sales team up to date with targets without having to go through the extra steps of generating the report via the menu.

  18. When refreshing the bank feed we used to get a "loading" type of notification on the old layout on the homepage when it was actively refreshing. Now nothing seems to be showing but when I switch back to the old layout I can see that it's "loading" (or if I click on the bank itself).

    It's helpful to know if the feeds is "thinking" or not so I don't prematurely bug the client to fix on their end. And an overview of all the accounts that are loading is nice instead of having to click on each one. Thanks!

    Hi everyone, it does sound like a bank feed status indicator would be a really helpful addition, giving you a quick sense of whether your imported statement lines are fully up-to-date or still processing.

    We understand how important it is to have that confirmation—without a clear visual cue, it can be hard to tell if the feed is still loading, has completed, or if something has gone wrong. Knowing the current status at a glance helps you trust the numbers and act quickly if there’s an issue.

    As such, we've moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest in making bank feed status more visible on the homepage. It would be great to hear from the community and understand how this could make a difference for everyday workflows.

    Hi Tom and John, not a direct drag & drop to a widget on the homepage, however from the 'Bills to pay' widget you can click Add bill > Upload bills which will direct you to Bills and pre-open the upload modal. 🙂

    This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, but will get a feel of the interest from the community for the idea here.

    It'd be good to track interest in this feature for Bills and Expenses separately as widget enhancements would typically be reviewed individually. I've created a new idea for this in Expenses and added you both to this for any updates.
