  1. It would be good to have the ability to quickly update the due date of a job either directly from the XPH homepage under the 'Jobs assigned to me as staff' or from the client 'Jobs' section without having to go into each job and edit the due date. Or both options would be great too!

  2. The returns ready to start from the ATO list need to also contain clients on ATO list not in xero tax so that we can use this list as our master list to clean up ATO clients/add new ones that may have been missed.

    Hi team, we can see how having the Ready to Start list in Tax Manager to include ATO clients missing from XPM/Xero Tax could make cross checking your clients list more efficient. Using this list as a single source to clean up or add missed clients sounds like a practical way to reduce extra steps.

  4. The new client information page has too much white space but the layout with the headings bigger and the line helping you to track from the heading to the actual data is OK. However when you click 'edit details' that all changes.

    • the 'old' version only showed the headings and you could expand each heading to find the places you wanted to update. Much easier to scroll through.

    Thanks for this suggestion! I’ve moved your idea into Gaining Support.


    Currently, the Projects widget on the dashboard only shows a handful of your most recent or active jobs. If you have a larger list, you have to click away from the dashboard to see them all.


    I can see how a scrollable list would be a huge benefit for project managers who want to keep an eye on everything from one screen! I’ve updated the title to "Projects - Suggestion for scrollable or expandable jobs list on the Dashboard widget" to help other members find and vote for it.


    Quick Tip for now: Don't forget that you can also use the JAX (Just Ask Xero) assistant on your dashboard. You can ask "Show me the status of [Project Name]" to get a quick update without leaving the page while we wait for more votes on this idea!

  8. A way to update how many hours left per week are shown on the dashboard would be good. I know a lot more people work flexibly, and this way they could see how many hours below the total required they are (e.g. 38 hours per week). Just makes it easier when you're managing time during the week

    I’ve had a look through your suggestion, and I can definitely see how a "hours remaining" tracker would be a huge help for those of us balancing flexible schedules.


    I’ve assessed your post against our community criteria and have moved it to Gaining Support. This means other members can now vote on it and share their own feedback, which helps our product teams understand the demand for this feature.


    To make it easier for others to find and support your idea, I’ve updated the title slightly to: Dashboard - Weekly hours remaining widget


    In the meantime, while we don't have a live tracker on the main dashboard, you might find the Xero Me mobile app or the Projects tab useful for keeping a closer eye on your logged time during the week.

    We’ll keep an eye on how much interest this gains…

  9. There used to be an 'Enter Costs' button on the homepage of XPM. How do we now easily add costs? We use this function all the time.

  11. Xero Practice Manager currently allows bulk job state changes only through the Job Manager interface or via API integrations. However, there is no native feature to bulk upload a CSV file to update job states for existing jobs. This limitation creates inefficiencies for practices managing large volumes of jobs, especially when correcting errors or applying workflow changes across hundreds of jobs.

    Proposed Solution:
    Introduce a Bulk CSV Upload for Job Updates feature in XPM that:

    Matches existing jobs using Job Number as a unique identifier.
    Allows updating specific fields such as:

    Job State
    Priority
    Assigned Staff

  12. In Tax Manager, Option to multiselect tax forms and lodge button. Similar to the Old tax returns window. It will be nice to have a column showing outcome for the form such as $$$ payable or Refundable. This will be more efficient.

  13. Since the recent updates, we've noticed that once a return is marked as “archived”, it no longer appears within the job it was originally created in. Previously, archived returns remained accessible through the job.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on archived returns in jobs. We appreciate you sharing how important it is to keep archived returns visible within their original jobs for practice management.

  14. In the old XPM when removing a client’s GST registration you could delete the GST registration with one tick and save. In the new XPM when you untick ‘include GST information’, the GST information greys out and it lets you save but this does not remove the GST registration information. You have to clear the other fields first, then untick ‘include GST information’ and save. Why can’t you just untick ‘include GST information’ and it be removed from view on the client information screen? Or at least be given a warning that the change you’ve made isn’t correct when you…

    Thanks for sharing this detailed feedback about the GST workflow in XPM.


    I can certainly see how the extra steps of clearing fields manually feel like a step backward from the previous experience, especially when you're managing multiple client updates.


    Currently, the new XPM interface requires those fields to be emptied before the section can be fully "deactivated" from the client summary. If you find the information is still showing after you've unticked the box, it’s usually because those greyed-out fields still contain data that Xero is trying to preserve.

  16. The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
    This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Helps team members to review and prioritise jobs for a Group based on the start date when the job was received or has been scheduled to start.

  17. In Xero HQ to add "Last Viewed" column option which is currently showing on My Xero screen. This is a column option in My Xero that I use everyday when checking which clients to review. Unfortunately it has never been available as a column option in Xero HQ. If made available I would no longer use the My Xero option in Xero.

  19. When you search for a client with client name, old xpm it used to search for anyone with similar name, now it has to be exact eg John James Jones, if you searched John Jones, it would come up, now it won't and you have to type John James Jones for it to appear. If you type John it will come up but what happens when you have 50 Johns to scroll through??? Please fix.

    Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.

    While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

  20. It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.
