Cash flow forecast using Quotes vs Purchase Orders
Since Cash flow forecasting is relying on Invoices and Bills input, this is not so helpful in real life scenario especially for Project based businesses. Invoices and Bills are always late. Since they're late, they don't appear in your cash flow forecast. What I'm trying to do is to input all expected Sales and Bills in a project via Quotes for expected Sales and Purchase Orders for expected Bills. This way my forecasting will account for Sales and Bills that are expected but didn't happen yet. Can you please create that Quote and PO forecasting please?

Missing Item Codes, Terms & Logo
Not sure if it's just me but in the last week or so I have noticed that quotes no longer show the item code, the quote terms box or our logo even though all the boxes are ticked to do so in the settings..?
Really need these features back working please as we are now having to manually add/adjust these in the PDF before emailing clients.3 votesHi 👋 your idea is being looked into by our Community team. We'll be in touch soon to update you once your idea has been reviewed.

Allow users to disable the new Bills split-screen layout and hide Xero bill payment promotion
I have been a Xero customer for over 10 years and have referred dozens of businesses to the platform during that time. The primary reason we originally switched to Xero was its simplicity and clean interface. Unfortunately, the recent changes to the Bills section have completely undermined that simplicity.
The new split-screen layout with the bill list on the left side of the screen is unnecessary and extremely distracting. When I open a bill, I need to focus on that bill only. There is no logical reason to display a list of other bills while I am working inside a…

Being able to tab forward or back through invoices when viewing
Being able to tab through invoices. So if you are viewing an invoice say INV#010 there's a button you can press to tab to the next invoice INV#011 or a back tab button to view INV#009.
This would be far easier and save time compared to currently entering each individual invoice number to search for it and view. Pls consider as i am sure this would make life quicker and easier for all users! Thanks Dean3 votesHi 👋 your idea is being looked into by our Community team. Add “Assigned Staff” Tab to Invoices in XPM
Add “Assigned Staff” Tab to Invoices in XPM.
We would like the ability to assign staff members to invoices created in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) to improve workflow visibility and accountability throughout the billing process.
Currently, when an invoice is open, there are three tabs available:
Information, Notes & History. We propose adding a fourth tab titled “Assigned Staff.”
Invoice workflow typically moves through several stages:
1. Staff member creates the bill
2. Manager reviews and approves
3. Director reviews and approves
4. Admin completes final processing and sends to the clientHaving the ability to assign up to 4–5…

Enter expected date for multiple invoices at once
When a remittance is received from a customer that includes payment for multiple invoices, it would be helpful to be able to enter this information in one go.
IE. Add the expected date and a comment (eg. Remittance received) for several invoices at once.
At present, it is necessary to manually add this information to each invoice which takes more time and adds unnecessary steps.

Allocate invoice payment to multiple accounts
The Problem:
When a customer pays more than the invoice total due to tips or card surcharges, Xero’s Add Payment screen forces any amount over the invoice total to be treated as an overpayment/credit, not as intentional extra income. This prevents me from allocating the excess directly to specific income accounts (e.g., Qualified Tips or Card Processing Fee Income) at the time of payment. As a result, I have to use multi‑step workarounds (separate Receive Money and Spend Money entries, later adjustments once bank feeds arrive) just to reflect a single real‑world payment event: invoice amount + tip/surcharge − merchant…3 votesHi 👋 your idea is being looked into by our Community team. Once off clients
In working with a client who uses Xero as their invoicing system, we’ve identified a practical workflow gap that may affect many small manufacturers and custom-service businesses.
The business does not operate a traditional point-of-sale system. Instead, they produce custom, made-to-order items such as signage and magnets for walk-in customers.
These transactions typically involve:
once-off customers
minimal customer details
immediate payment on collection
no expectation of repeat business
The business must provide proof of payment at handover while maintaining proper accounting records.
With increasing compliance expectations and the move toward e-invoicing, a streamlined method to issue a once-off invoice or…

duplicate line
Ability to duplicate a line/line item within an invoice AND bill so that it doesn't have to be entered again and again. This will go a long way to streamlining cost allocation.
Loadable internal templates for bills and invoices to be entered for the businesses who layout complex invoices/bills.

Option to delete invoices more than 6 years past
Under GDPR, customer data can only be kept for a reasonable period of time.
In the UK, businesses must keep tax records for at least five years from 31 January following the end of the relevant tax year. In practice, this means records need to be retained for 5 years and 10 months.
Your GDPR policy can therefore state that records will be kept for 5 years and 10 months. After this period, continuing to store invoices (for example, in Xero) could put you in breach of GDPR.
To help businesses stay compliant, Xero could offer an optional feature that…

Batch Payment Summary - Option to include bill descriptions or a configurable notes column
We want to be able to create a Batch Payment summary report to include the description of each bill then once that is approved by Management, I am able to go straight to next step & export to the bank. Instead of now, we are having to create more steps when making payments by getting the description of each bill info required from the Payable Invoice Detail Report which is not working for us as we have multiple lines with descriptions & this report needs so much work to get it looking ready for Management to approve. Such a waste…

Repeating Manual Journals - Provide more frequency options
Once upon a time when we used TAS for our bookkeeping services, they had a very useful feature when processing recurring journals. We could choose separately months to correspond to the days clients being charged for. For example, we would pick January, March, May, July, August, October, December to process invoices for 31 days; February for 28 days; and April, June, September, November for 30 days. Once you have that set up initially, you don't have to think about adjusting recurring journals every month. At the moment, it takes me about half a day just to update over a hundred…

Invoices - Bulk import | Allow to import Contact Default Dates
Request ability to bulk upload Contact default due dates into bulk imported Draft invoices containing no due date. Approval currently prevented due to missing due date but require that to be populated from Contact default data. Work around for individual invoices is to preview prior to Approval but that is time consuming for large numbers of invoices included in batch import.

Invoice Reminders - Option to change who reminders are sent to
INVOICE REMINDER EMAIL ADDRESS SAVED PER INVOICE - Enable invoice reminder emails to be captured and stored on a per-invoice basis, rather than reverting to the main contact.
For organisations with global customers, invoice recipients often vary by region, project, or business unit. In our organisation, a single customer can have multiple valid invoice contacts depending on the specific project.
Currently, reminder emails default back to the primary contact, forcing users to manually re-enter or amend the email address each time. This is inefficient, error-prone, and very labour-intensive at scale.
Allowing the reminder email address to be saved per invoice…

Contacts - Ability to turn off initial icon
Can you please get rid of that annoying image that appears when I'm typing in a new contact on a sales invoice. As I'm typing the image is flashing away on each keystroke and giving me a headache!

Invoicing - New invoicing layout is due for an update
With the changes and improvements to the design of the Purchases overview > Bills page and tabs quite some time ago, it would be expected and easier to navigate through Xero if these design changes reflected in the Sales overview > Invoices page. The invoices page (despite the new invoicing experience when opening an invoice) is still the old outdated design that the Bills used to look like.
The bills and invoicing used to be the same design and while it's great to have an improved design in the bills section, it is sometimes not intuitive that the invoicing has…

Invoicing - Display customer overdue balance and available credits on Awaiting Approval page
On the awaiting approval invoice page can we get more details for each customer, like any overdue amount and any credit they have in their account. Currently you cannot apply a credit unless you open the invoice. This will save time and errors.

Invoicing - Add another Status under Paid | Paid Awaiting Pickup
Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".
Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.
