  1. When you go into Payroll Overview-Timesheet to Approve-then click on the individual timesheet can you please add an option to export the timesheet to pdf for printing.

  4. Currently, when filtering expenses by name, the settings reset to default each time an expense is opened and closed.

    Please update it so that the filter settings remain active, eliminating the need to reapply them for each expense viewed.

    Also, please add a date filter setting

  5. We are long term users of Xero and find many aspects of its functionality make our accounting functions easy! This is not the case in terms of Payroll entry….The Xero Me App does not come close to meeting the needs of a small business like ours….and I am sure we are not entirely unique!

    Our business is predominantly made up of casual employees who work different hours from day to day/week to week. Many of our employees also drive vehicles and require kilometre reimbursement.

    The biggest challenge we have is the accurate recording of employee hours…unfortunately, we have issues around…

  6. Xero Payroll restricts the payment date to no more than 90 days after the end of the payroll period. This isn't a legal or taxation limitation, but does restrict the occassions where clients are paying payroll in less regular intervals (such as paying their entire salary annually).

    Hi team, while we appreciate the request here,considering compliance requirements for payroll in AU we want to be upfront that we don't have plans for changing the ability to set the payment date beyond 90 days.

    For any employees that you may pay on an annual salary basis, we'd recommend setting the payment date 90 days before the employee's annual pay date.

  7. It would be helpful if there was a payroll report which shows any variances since the prior month's payroll run.

  8. Xero has removed the ability for casual employees to apply for annual leave if that leave is available to them. Annual leave is part of my casual employees employment contracts. The employees and I have agreed that they will receive annual leave and sick leave.

    These leave types were catered for in the past and the employees were able to apply for them when required. Now, despite still accruing those leave types, they are unable to apply for them.

    This change by Xero restricts my business's ability to determine what conditions I offer to my employees. While the terms of…

  10. Expenses, the Categories field should be wide enough to display the text on the website. Note that the mobile app works fine.
    Or there should be the ability to nest categories.
    As a web developer, widening the Categories field should be trivial. Apparently not according to Xero support....

  11. Our business is growing, and now we employ over 60 employees. Is it possible to have more than 50 employees listed on one page for payroll processing?
    It looks like '50' is the maximum of line items in the drop-down menue, and I have to go the the second page in order to approve all employees for the payroll.

  12. Changing an employee's surname due to marriage, for example, changes their details for historical payslips and all other payroll historical reports. Could a field be added perhaps that allows for 'maiden name' or 'previously known as' without disrupting historical info?

  13. Given that we are now can add employees into different tracking/groups on Xero.
    It works well when we post a pay run and it puts all transactions in Wages expenses, super expenses, PAYG W and super payable, but not Wages Payable. Seems odd that it doesn't.

  14. Amend status of timesheet - I accidentally ran a Pay Run without having approved the timesheet. The status of the timesheet then was Approved, and didn't become 'Processed'. An 'Approved' staus meant I couldn't change the calendar setting s etc for the employee. It becasme a challenge to do what was necessary to get the status to 'Processed'.

  16. Since the latest Payroll update there seems to be no functionality in Xero to change how the name of the Employee Summary report appears when saved. There are too many _ between words, for example: JoeBloggsPtyLtd-PayrollEmployee_Summary 4 June 2024.

    So frustrating. Bring back the old style PDF format.

  17. Allow us to turn off the pop up that shows when posting a pay run. I don't need reminders to pay the employees and file the pay run especially when I do payroll for 20+clients.

  18. I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you sharing this idea with us here, and understand the interest for being able to automate pay runs, we want to confirm this is not in our plans at present.

  19. It would be really useful to provide a function where we can change the calculations within xero to calculate average hours using 52.14 weeks rather than 52.

  20. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.
