  2. Maybe I'm missing something (integration settings perhaps) but if I enter a personal tax client's details into Xero HQ, then only some of this pushes into Xero Blue and I have to re-enter certain details like client code, email address etc as well as new fields such as sales defaults. Similarly, not all of the data pushes into Xero PM and the UTR/NI number have to be entered again. Is it not possible to have a Xero HQ as the single point of entry which then updates all fields in Xero PM and Xero Blue?

    Appreciate your feedback on how syncing more data between Xero HQ and your client organisations would be useful, Balley.

    We'll continue to get an understanding of the interest for this here.

    Just to note around your request for syncing data between Xero HQ and XPM - as you may have seen from recent news we are unifying the clients and staff experience across HQ and XPM in what will soon be Xero Partner Hub meaning all your client data will be synced and consistent. You can read more about this here.

  3. Please add ability to reorder accounts (lines) on a workpaper in Xero Workpaper. This is painful both for automatically populating workpapers (which go in the impractical alphabetical order) and custom workpapers (where every new line is added at the bottom...).

    Thanks for sharing your idea to generate a report in XPM that lists clients with rental properties. We can definitely see how that would make managing this group of clients much more efficient.

  5. Xero's feature of importing invoices into XPM is great for clients. But there is no way currently to stop importing them for people who aren't clients. Currently - we sell digital products, which we need to keep invoices for. Every time a digital product is sold, it creates a new client in XPM. They aren't clients.There should be the option to only import if a client exists in XPM.

  6. Would be great to create a report in XPM that shows client bank details so we can identify clients that are missing bank details and need to be followed up. This would also avoid the issue with tax returns being lodged with no bank details recorded.

  7. When a tax return is created from a job you need to manually link this to the job once the tax obligation is created. It would be good if this automatically linked to the job like AU and NZ

    Hi team, we appreciate this idea being raised with us and would like to gauge interest from the community for auto linking a return that's created form a Job.

  8. We use Fusesign as our e-sign solution and it would be great to have the option to send a document directly into the signing software. We've seen a much higher engagement level with Fusesign than any other e-sign product as it doesn't require another login, it uses SMS/email verification instead.

    A direct link would smooth out the workflow from the tax product > signing (and maybe even into client files in FYIDocs).

    Hi Matthew, it appears that FuseSign is already an integrated app Partner with Xero. As they've designed and built their integration with Xero themselves they'd it'd be best to approach their support to see if this is something they'd consider extending their integration for.

    You can find their support contact details at the bottom of their app store listing.

  10. Client Insights is fantastic for showing client by client stats.
    How about providing a TOTAL for the entire client list or filtered list, so that you can see how each client compares to the selected "community" of clients

    We've reviewed your suggestion to enhance it further by showing a total for the client list or a filtered group. We can see how this would provide valuable context, allowing you to easily benchmark how an individual client compares to the rest of the community.

  11. There is a difference in functionality between D5 and D8 in the AU individual tax return form. When deductions are entered in D5, the default deductible percentage is 100%, and whatever percentage is entered here (eg 40% phone) is rolled over when the tax return rolls over to the next year.

    In D8, the default deductible percentage is 0% (inconsistent with D5, easy to miss when quickly completing a tax return, requires you to manually type '100%' every line item - why would you enter a 0% deduction?) and the manually entered percentage does not roll over to the next…

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate hearing how we could make processes more efficient for our customers using Xero, this is not an idea we would be able to take action on.

    Inland Revenue do not currently allow correspondence to be sent with a tax return via the Gateway services. This may be feedback that you could share with your IR Account Manager. Thanks

  16. IRD are asking us for details of our rental expenses - I would like the Residential and Commercial Rental schedules to accompany the tax return when filing with IRD - I can not imagine anyone wanting to do this manually.

  17. There should be a comparative report available for New Zealand tax returns. This already exists for Australian tax returns. It is an excellent feature that really assists with preparing returns and avoiding missing details from prior years. I would love to see this feature available for New Zealand tax returns. We agree that having a feature like this, similar to what's available for Australian tax returns, would be a fantastic tool to help ensure accuracy and streamline the preparation of returns.

  18. When using the field [Client] Group(s) as a criteria in step 3 of report builder, you can only specify the relevant client group name in the text field. There's currently no functionality for a drop down list of client groups to select from similar to the clients field. Requesting this as an option

  19. Provide an option under the client group to bill wip that's under multiple clients in the group with one invoice.

    At the moment it appears this can only be done under Invoices in the Business menu. Under the client group itself, while an invoice can be created for multiple jobs for one client, you can't create a single invoice to bill wip that's under multiple clients in the group.

  20. Where the individual client title has been changed to "Executor for" or "Representative for" the declarations should also be updated with this information. Currently the declarations still just use the individual name, who may be deceased or unable to sign on their own behalf.
