  1. I would like a small change where the Accumulated Depreciation is a default column in the depreciation schedules report generated from Xero. I work with a significant number of clients who we run depreciation for each year and I would like to see the Accumulated Depreciation amount in the report by default without having to update the templates in every client file.

  2. It's great that there is now the option to finalise and create a bill on a BAS...however that is not the default choice for Tax & BAS Agents so it would be nice if the big button was to FINALISE the BAS and the small button with the option to create the bill. Leave it as default in the linked to ATO BAS (lodge and create bill) but for BAS that aren't being lodged in Xero directly it's not helpful.

    Thanks for your support in this idea, everyone. While this isn't in our plans atm we're continuing to review the ideas from the forums here.

    We'll keep a gauge on the interest for SA102M Ministers of Religion and let you know if there are any updates for this, here.

  4. Where clients are subscribers to their own Xero but add an adviser who is linked to a Xero partner practice, it would be useful if there was an option for them to choose to give the practice as a whole access so that if, eg, their contact leaves, the practice administrator can give access to their new contact as long as they are Partner Staff.

    Hi team, we hope you are liking the new staff and client experience for managing your practice, with Xero Partner Hub beginning to rollout to practices over the coming months.

    To provide an update on the desire for being able to provide a practice access when a practice staff is invited into a clients org - this is something our teams are currently exploring. While we can't make commitments as yet, we will keep you updated of any development for this through this idea. Thanks

  5. Recent new requirements from the ATO mean that businesses have to nominate new BAS and tax agents via ATO Online Services for Business, before the Agent can add them on their end (on ATO Client Services for Agents). This requires the tax payer to have set up MyGovID, gone into RAM and log into ATO Online Services for Business. The majority of clients have no idea how to do any of this. It would be good, if there was a way that they could nominate the Agent from Xero instead. Perhaps the linking of the Xero file to the ATO…

  6. It would be useful to be able to email tax returns direct from XERO tax. Returns sent by XERO sign can only be viewed by a client in their entirity prior to signing if they have an ADOBE account.

    Hi Claire, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.   9. It would be very helpful if there was a way to produce a Taxable Payments Annual Report via Xero Tax. I have a couple of clients that are a large construction company, that uses SAP for its accounting. This is not SBR enabled, and does not produce a .tpar file in the format required for lodgement with the ATO. Currently they provide an excel, which has to be transcribed onto the ATO portal. It would be great if we could upload a csv to produce the necessary report and lodge via Xero Tax, and save us significant time.

  10. We would like to be able to hide or remove the Xero sample letter templates as an option in the Tax Payments page. We would like to remove them so that tax admin staff don't accidentally use those templates instead of our custom branded templates.

  12. It would be great if there was a link between the billable expenses in Xero and XPM that would allow for billable expenses assigned to a client to be created as a cost in XPM. We currently add these manually as a cost on the job.

  14. From what I understand is common in a lot of firms is when a client leaves/dies/etc their client profile is archived in XPM and the data persists into infinity.

    Given the latest high profile data breaches is would be good if XPM had a Housekeeping module where firms could identify archived clients where the attached Personally Identifiable Information (In particular TFN, Bank account, phone/mobile and addresses) is no longer needed and permanently remove it in a structured process.

    A similar process may need to be created for the forms that we generate from XPM so they they are permanently removed…

  15. Just wondering if there is anything in the pipeline at all where you could potentially upload support documents, receipts, invoices etc behind the tax return item item while in the ITR. Would be a very handy function for individual tax returns.

  18. Is it possible to have a "heads up" on what changes are being planned.
    For example, the procedure for client deletions has just been changed so that a client with IRD Number/Tax Return cannot be deleted, with no notification to us as users that the change was being contemplated, let alone actually happened.
    This then leaves us asking for the change to be undone.
    If been advised beforehand, could have suggested options which be suitable to all parties and mean that reprogramming is not required.

  19. Ability to Delete a Client from Xero Practice Manager if they have an IRD Number and/or Tax Returns.
    Have found that XPM has been updated so can no longer delete a Client if they have either and IRD Number or Tax Returns (including Archived Tax Returns). Client has to be Archived instead. Wanting to delete especially in cases such as the Client being deceased, rather than having to Archive (especially as Archived Clients can still appear in reports).
