  1. It would be timesaving to be able to Create a Tax Form (all types) directly within the Returns tab and link to an Existing Client and Job.

    What would be even better would be to be able to add a Job on the fly during the process if not already established.

  2. Currently, if I am looking at a Workpaper and I click on the Flag next to an account, I can add a Review Point for that account.

    That review point shows up in the list at the bottom of the workpaper.

    If I click the flag next to the account, I can see the review points that have been added to that account... but I can't see the replies to those review points and nobody can reply to them from that area.

    I have to scroll down to the bottom to reply to the review point.

    Hi team, as you might've heard we have a new Workpapers solution that will be rolling out to partners over the coming months. It focuses on creating a more streamlined and deeply integrated compliance workflow, taking on board many of the ideas represented in community here.

    While the new solution won't show the account name just yet, there is a reference to the account number denoted to the right of the review point. You can see an example in my attached image.

    We appreciate partners would still like to see the account name referenced and we have another idea that we're tracking interest in this for here, please do add your vote to that if you'd like to see this too.

    We'll be staggering the rollout with Australia first off the cuff, and other regions to follow in early 2026. I'll keep you updated of it's release here. Thanks!

  3. Our existing tax software has a summary page that is automatically generated and goes alongside the CT600 that includes the payment amount, due date, bank details to use and payment reference. I.e. a perfect 1 page summary to give to the client so they know what to pay.
    It would be great if Xero Tax could incorporate this into their solution so that the payment details don't have to be sent to the client separately.

  4. Export/Import Xero Network Keys for clients (from Xero HQ) in order to be able to import into company Xero.

    So that our invoices can also be sent directly to the clients Xero, so saves time on bookkeeping.

  5. Xero Practice Manager - Bulk unlock or lock of timesheets

    We have a large volume of staff (over 50) so being able to submit timesheets which come across from FYI after we have completed our pay runs in bulk would be ideal.

    In the same vein, being able to bulk update timesheet lines which may contain the same error would also be handy.

  7. At the moment Xero doesn't have a list of clients in alphabetical order when I go into Staff to amend access. With over 200 clients, it is taking a long time to sort it all out, even if I use the search box.
    Please include functionality so that the client list in Staff is in alphabetical order by default, the same as it was in My Xero staff.
    I would also like to see a number value next to the staff member's name showing how many clients they have access to. Again, similar to the set up in My Xero…

    Hi team, we appreciate your feedback on searching and assigning staff permissions within your practice. As you may have heard recently announced - we are launching Xero Partner Hub in the coming months that'll bring your practice tools into one centralised experience. As part of this change you'll receive an updated client access management experience, including the ability to sort the list by client name.

    Prepare and find out about the Xero Partner Hub on our website, and I'll be back to share as this experiences rolls out to partners.

  8. Link Xero Ask to XPM Job Numbers. We want to use Xero Ask, but we need it link the questions to specific jobs as well as specific clients.

  9. It would be great to have an option to prepare a CT600 only: We prepare a number of accounts for friendly societies so don't file accounts for them, but we do need to file CT600s for them.

  10. Is it possible to have the starred clients as feature in reports? If we export a client list, we can't see which clients are the 'starred' (main contact for the group in our case). It would be super handy when trying to get a list of our main contacts and easily remove the clients that aren't starred.

  11. The mandatory notes section on FRS 105 needs upgrading, so that the notes on things like movement in directors loans, and operating lease commitments, can be completed by merely filling in numbers into a template matrix. At the moment, no tabular layout is possible.

  12. Being able to pick specific due dates for recurring jobs, rather than having to select per day/week/month. BAS & IAS due dates will be different depending on how many days in the month there are.

  13. I have two situations where the billing in the financial part of the system was being charged by staff rate instead of by task rate. I am not sure why this occurred - possibly human error. So I created new jobs and tried to move the paid progress invoices to the new jobs but it isn't possible. Is there any way that we can move invoices in XPM from one job to another?

WITH THE UPCOMING CHANGE IN CORPORATION TAX RATE (6/4/23) IT WOULD BE A NICE FEATURE IF THE PROFIT ALLOCATION IN ACCOUNTING YEARS STRADLING THE TAX YEAR END COULD BE TOGGLED BETWEEN "ALLOCATION ON DAYS" AND "ACTUAL ACCOUNTS" SO THAT THE MOST BENEFICIAL TREATMENT COULD BE USED FOR CLIENTS NEXT YEAR (IE USING THE METHOD THAT PUTS THE LARGEST SHARE OF THE PROFIT INTO THE PERIOD UPTO 5/4/23) - NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR 04/2023 YEAR ENDS AND AFTER

  15. Please could we have the option to change the Corporation Tax Return approval date in the same way that the Accounts Approval date can be changed to reflect the actual date the client signed the accounts and tax return.

    Or better still, we could just have one are to change the approval date and it would update both the accounts and corporation tax return

    We have been embracing Xero Tax for all our company accounts and tax returns this year, to really identify what still needs to be addressed and provide that feedback before we abandon our existing software.

  16. Custom task rate - although the charge out rate can be amended for individual tasks for a member of staff, there is no "from" date that can be specified so it is applied to all un-invoiced WIP. It would therefore be very useful to be able to have the ability to put in a date from when the new rate should be applied.

  17. Improving XPM Workflow Capabilites with Seperate & Specific Job States & Automation Triggers

    Seperate set of state for different job templates/workflows. XPM currently only has one set of job states. there should be the ability to have multiple for different jobs. These states should also be able to be transferred into a kanban board view and when the job state is changed either by drag & drop or dropdown certain automated actions should be triggered such as automated emails or deploying client or internal forms to be completed etc. At the moment the XPM's workflow capabiliteis are extremely limited.

  18. Is consolidation of company group structures - parent & subsidiaries - involving holding companies , inter-company transactions , on the tax filing roadmap for development?
    If so, would this also include VAT group filings?

    Reviving this topic again as I've gone into Property and wanted to implement a group structure, how does Xero best deal with this structure interacting with subsidiaries within the group structure and for the purpose of consolidated accounts? Is Xero Tax also enabled for filing group company accounts?

  20. Failed Activity Statements appear to be unable to be cleared so continue to sit as an action item.

    Need to have mechanism to clear as lodged rather than having continue to sit as an item needing action forever.
