  1. Where the notices are the same screen. It would be helpful if it held your sorting order. When you click on a date to accept the assessment, when you return to the list it is back in date order. I'd like to keep it in client name order.

  2. To make it easier to create jobs in XPM it would be useful to have a link to create a new job once you have unsuccessfully searched to see if there is a job already set up for the client. At present you have to log out of job search then create a new job, which involves finding the client name again.

  5. It would be great to be able to set default print settings for the practice, especially by tax return type. Recently Xero changed the default and now I have an extra box to untick each time. Pain in the backside. Thanks

  6. Companies House sync - Client Onboarding

    Would like to see a Companies House sync for this. Our current PM system has this facility and it saves so much time (and is accurate). Also used as a check when submitting annual CS01 forms. We are considering moving to XPM and this would seal the deal

  7. The option to filter the reports by tax returns that have been lodged as Final in a certain tax year would be beneficial.
    We could then cross check and archive clients as necessary.
    There are so many fields to choose from in the Fields and Criteria, but this is not one of them.
    It would save us from having to keep a manual list as some can get missed this way.

    Hi Alison,

    We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.

    We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.

    Along with votes, other practices can now comment to share more details on how this reporting criteria would improve their own client management workflows.🙂

  8. Add a next button to the managed fund distribution page in xero tax.

    When a client has 10 or 15 managed fund distributions that have imported from the pre-fill you have to go back and click on the next one and it is hard to keep track that you have reviewed every single one. (And deleted the 0's this is a separate idea)

    If there was a next button so you can just start at the top and work your way through all the distributions to review them it would make this much easier.

  9. Allow us to access Xero Tax in advance of the year end - company and self assessment - as it stands we cannot even set up the details/schedules we know we will need. In other software you could load up the information before the year end date had passed to give the client an estimate of tax liability as the year progresses. Furthermore, this allows you to load information as you receive it - e.g. Company Director dividends to self assessments as you complete company accounts

  12. Bank connections page allowing you to view all clients' bank feed statuses in one central location and easily update the connections for your clients in one go rather than navigating to each client’s account.

  13. Help business owners and team leaders easily identify where staff have submitted time for a week that is less than their capacity. That could be something on the dashboard or a report. XPM currently allows a staff member timesheet to be submitted without any warning that it is below the capacity amount. I shouldn't need to manually review and compare to the different capacity hours for full time and part time staff.

  16. Ability to bulk re-allocate invoices to different jobs and or clients.
    It would be great if you could easily re-allocate an invoice (or a cost / timesheet entry) to a different client or job. I have had cases where a clients name/entity type has changed and the recurring invoices have not been posted against the correct client in XPM (old client not new client, even though the invoice is issued under the new name in Xero). Or a client wants to be billed under different entities in a group but there is only one job so i would have to…

  17. XPM job financial summary is available from the job screen and financial tab, under "print financial summary". As currently prepared the financial summary does not report actual invoices and total amount invoiced, in addition the report does not include the profitability measures for rate per hour and recovery percentage. This would be useful to have these calculated and presented at the top of the report.

  18. Improve the way clients can create accounts and log into an existing xero account.

    If we create an account for them, it asks them to put in their organisation details. Then we invite the client into the organisation, they have to accept the invitation.

    Clients are always having issues with their log ins, and signing documents. Feel this could be made easier for them.

    1/ For ACTIVITY STATEMENTS - xero already retrieves the bpay details. Can Xero retrieve the Auspost billpay details, and ATO PRN details for credit card payment too to be printed/esign emailed when generating the Activity statement?

    2/ For Income tax returns - for entities that have a payable result, can Xero retrieve the bpay, post billpay, and PRN details that can be printed/esign emailed along with the tax return?

    3/ and for ITR, can Xero retrieve the bpay, post billpay, and PRN details so that it can be sent along with the OoA email/print out?

  20. Sync all data to Xero HQ.

    We have been moved over to single client record and need notes and custom fields to be synced as well please.

    This would prevent the need to manually update client records and prevent risk of out of date data.

Meaning you have all client details in one place, no more need to update in HQ and Practice Manager 😊
