Sending an invoice and sending a reminder - have the same written detail in historyCan you differentiate when a reminder has been sent at least !
Can you also differentiate if the reminder is Overdue, On stop or Letter before Action as per the different email body templates available to send

Files - Add Expiry/Renewal Date and Automated Reminders
Ability to add an expiration date or renewal date to files (Contract end date, Tax clearance certificates etc.) with reminders on when documents are up for renewal.

In the meantime, the current workaround is to track renewal or expiry dates outside of Xero, and archive expired files before uploading the updated versions when they’re ready.

Reports includes contact details
Include contact details (eg address, contact no, etc) when generating other reports like inventory, sales and etc.

Account Column in Contacts Page
In the transaction lists in a client, having the ability to add "account" column to see what expense account a Spend Money is associated with, or the income account a Receive Money is recorded to.

view which clients have new Xero Files uploads - accountant dashboard
I have many clients so it is time consuming to go to each client organisation and into Files just to check whether there are new uploads. It would be great to have a dashboard in Xero HQ that showed how many items were in a clients Xero Files inbox. Or at least get notified when a client has uploaded to the Files inbox.

Hubdoc - Attach multiple documents when publishing from Hubdoc
It would be fantastic to attach more than one file when publishing from Hubdoc to Xero! Often bills come with supporting documentation, such as contracts and/or receipts. It would be great to be able to attach these, as well as the original bill to be published.

Hubdoc - Mark purchases as Paid once reconciled in Xero
When the transaction is reconciled to a Bill that's been uploaded from HubDoc in Xero, it should mark the document as Paid in HubDoc. (Google's AI-generated answer says that this happens, but it doesn't on my account). That way it would be much easier to see in HubDoc which items still aren't reconciled
Specifically, if a document is
1) published as "Purchased, Awaiting Payment", and published to Xero
2) that bill is then reconciled to a transaction in Xero, so that bill is shown as Paid and linked to Hubdoc

Document Management - Fully Migrate Hubdoc Functionality into Xero User Interface
The HubDoc Ui/Ux is outdated, we all know it. But its a good product. With the addition of the "Upload Bills" feature to Xero, it would make sense to just bring the full functionality of HubDoc right into the Ui of Xero rather than invest in the standalone product of HubDoc. It keeps us on one screen within Xero and eliminates all the nuances of the sync/integration.
Maintaining backup to DropBox or Google Drive is key though. That makes it feel like a 'safe' backup method for receipts.

Files - Option to sort files by 'Associated with'
To activate the option to be able to sort files by ASSOCIATED WITH in addition to SIZE and UPLOADED. The enormous amount of files now sitting in Archive must have all three columns active to give us an option to locate our files ASAP.

Contact - Ability to customise columns on Contact Activity
On these top level menu layouts, like Invoices, Bills and Contact Activity list we really need to be able to add/remove columns. Eg. to see the net total for each Bill/Invoice, not just the gross amount including VAT.
We use these menu layouts a lot, and have to copy and paste to Excel when we want to send that data, because there seems to be no export on Xero that can produce a neat one row per invoice layout. The exports produce a massive report that displays every row from every invoice - not much use.

6 votesAppreciate your feedback, Maggie. However it is unlikely that this change would be made across all areas of Xero at once. It would help to get an understanding of the desire for this in each area to share with our product teams.
We have an existing idea for customising columns in the Invoices list, and one around the ability to view total and tax amount columns in the bills list that I have added your vote to, and I have adjusted your idea here for the customisation of columns in the Contact Activity. Xero Files - Removing Files from transactions and Adding back into Xero Files & Searching Xero Files
It doesn't appear to be possible to Remove attached files from a transaction and save it back to Xero Files. I found it to be a useful function. Would it be possible to add it back again? Also it would be really useful to be able to Search on documents in Xero Files.

Moving or reducing size of the add address screen so you don't have to scroll down to select add. For ease of use, at 100% zoom it should all be visibleor action button to the top

There is a new feature in files called Review, is there a way to remove it as it is something our company will never use and it gets in the way.

Hubdoc - Apply payments to customer sales invoices (AR)
Please add the ability to enter payment details when posting invoices via Hubdoc.
At the moment, if an invoice has already been paid (e.g. by cash or a personal card), I have to post it in Hubdoc and then go into Xero to add the payment manually. This is especially common for my café and restaurant clients who pay many invoices in cash, and it creates a lot of extra work.
Being able to record the payment at the point of upload would save a huge amount of time.

Xero Files - Ability to tag files
File TAGGING! Can you please please add where we can tag files. Like ok tag to project tag to contractor. Tags! Tag projects to receipts and hires.
If you add "tags" or labels to files and projects that'll make less clicks for everyone! and so much faster. Contractors Organizations
Allow us to send files to certain contractors via email such as subject or create a contractor portal or sync to google drive or something! Sending contracts would be amazing too ! like getting signatures within Xero

Please remove "Update contact details" pop up when creating Rules!
When creating a new contact in the Rules screen, there is now a "Update contact details" pop up that slows down the process of creating rules. This pop up IS helpful for bills and invoices but is NOT heplful for creating Rules - especially becuase creating Rules is very manual and must be repeated manually (since we can't duplicate rules across clients). This feature adds a hiccup to the process of creating rules, it doesn't improve the efficiency of it. Please remove this feature on the Rules window!

Improve layout: Contacts > Invoices
I don't understand why the tiny "Invoices owed to you >" box takes up the entire left column of the screen, which then means the Invoices list isn't full width.
Surely the tiny overview box could be combined into the section with the graph and allow us to view a full width invoices list for a contact?

Increase number of supporting files that can be attached to a loan account
Could Xero please consider increasing the number of supporting files that can be attached to a loan account? Currently a maximum of 50 supporting documents can be attached. However, we are now exceeding the 50 document limit, with initial loan setup docs, monthly statements, plus bank letters regarding interest rate changes. It is important to have a full set of supporting documents attached to the loan account, so they are available for the accountant to review if required.
