  1. Can you please add a link the note that takes us back to the statement it relates to? i.e. when we click on the note number in the statement, it takes us to the note. Can we get the reverse done too? Then we can more easily check that the note reconciles with the statement figure.

  2. Please can Xero improve the dashboard notifications regarding VAT returns so that it shows that the VAT return has been submitted. This would avoid me having heart failure when I log in and see the information below! Our VAT is collected by direct debit, so I know if it is submitted, its HMRC direct debit taking its time, and not my mistake!

  4. From the P&L report when opening a specific income/expense account, the list of transactions under that account shows at the bottom "Showing items" number, this number includes the first line (title) and last two totals, which can be misleading if one wants to count the number of transactions.
    I'd suggest the "showing items" number to only indicate number of transactions.

  5. Would it be possible to have the current P&L have the option to be formatted better? As I need to separate P&L for different accounts that have been created on the COA (tracking is not an option).

    When I make a blank report, I want to merge and follow the same format as the standard P&L, when I make a custom one, it looks terrible lots of additional lines and the headlines are to the right while the sub headlines are to the left. When I want to add a formula, I cant fully separate this and causes confusion for…

Disposals - Stuck at "Show Summary" - When disposing of an asset and you have not rolled back depreciation to the prior-financial year , only the prior-month; it would be helpful to the user if (1) an "error" message prompting the user to roll-back depreciation back to the prior financial year in order to proceed (2) the user would receive the error message at the time of pressing the "Show Summary" button .   7. Add tab toggling over 2 windows so that one can make back-end amendments and go straight back to reviewing an accounting report.

    To supplement month-end/year-end review and sign offs, add a feature for Review Comments and Tracking.

  10. The Tax summary table in the tax return needs to show the 7th May provisional still owing as seperate to the remainder being due for terminal 7th April. Currently itt is grouped all in terminal meaning it is incorrect as doesnt show clients they need to pay an amount a year earlier

  11. Hi Xero Team,

    I would like to suggest a feature enhancement that would greatly benefit users in the Philippines.

    Currently, when generating reports (such as Transaction Reports, General Ledger, or Contact-based reports), there is no option to display the Tax Identification Number (TIN) and registered address of contacts as columns.

    Including TIN and address fields in report columns would significantly improve efficiency and accuracy in preparing BIR compliance reports such as:

    • SLSP (Summary List of Sales and Purchases)
    • QAP ( Quarterly Alphalist of Payees)
    • SAWT (Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes)

    At present, users need to manually extract or cross-reference this…

  12. To confirm, there isn’t currently a way to move the Supplementary income section so that it appears straight after the main Income section in the printed ITR.
    When using the new layout, Xero Tax does let you customise print settings, but this only lets you choose which main sections to print and reorder the sections that are available in the print pack, but it doesn’t let you change the internal order of the Individual return such as the Supplementary income section.

    This makes it difficult if you quickly want to look in the ITR and review all of the income…

  13. A slight bug found - I just had a supplier ask why we had charged less for the last 2 months. I checked and it looks like Xero defaulted to "GST Inclusive" invoices when copying an invoice that is GST-Exclusive, even when:

    1) the previous Invoice is set to "GST Exclusive"
    2) the Financial settings, tax defaults, For sales is set to for"Based on last sale"
    3) Note - No Contact defaults for GST set.

    Somehow, my $500 + GST invoices = $575 has been reduced to $500 including GST.

    Previously Xero would copy over the invoice exactly, but now…

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We can see why this would be useful. We have reviewed this idea and can see that currently when you copy an invoice, the financial settings of the organisation take precedence over the settings from the original invoice. This idea is now in Gaining support status, which means it's open for community votes and comments while we monitor interest from users.

  14. Include Invoice numbers for payable payments and receivable payments in reports.

    The information is available for payable invoices and receivable invoices but is missing for the payable payments and receivable payments. Reference information is carried through but not invoice number information.

    Hi team, appreciate coming into Xero Support after our recent update here and apologies for any confusion.

    To confirm, there is no way to add letters into 'Numbered heading' atm.

    An option for now may be to add letters to the front of your schedule heading, however appreciate this this is a little different from the formatting you're trying to achieve here.

    While this isn't something we have direct plans for right now, we'll start to get a sense of the wider interest from others in this here and share if there are any updates. Thanks

  16. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

    With the old style and the new style, there doesn't appear to be a way to show the journal with GST rate - it only shows the total GST as an extra line at the bottom of the journal.

    And while I'm requesting features that'll never be implemented, why not offer the ability to show journals Gross of GST (as well as the GST rate).

  19. It would be nice to be able to select "year to date" when choosing comparison periods of quarters or months on the balance sheet and profit and loss statements. Right now the only way to do so is to manually do the math on how many months back the fiscal year end began, which is especially inconvenient for entities with non-calendar year ends.

  20. Every new year tax year (1 April) the reports for the previous year that we are still using ie 31 March 2025 automatically change to the 31 March of the current year ie 31 March 2027 and the Last Financial year changes to 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.
    In the drop down box for the Pack Date Range Custom would it be possible to add a Last financial year -1 so that it reads the date range for the previous year that we are still compiling for ie: Date range 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

    Thanks for taking the time to explain how you’re using the Pack date range and why you’d like a “Last financial year -1” option. This isn’t something we’re actively working on right now, so we’re moving your idea to Gaining support. This lets other partners and small businesses add their vote and specific scenarios, which helps our product teams understand how many people are impacted and how this should be prioritised alongside other reporting work.

    In the meantime, the best available workaround is to set the prior year using a Custom date range and reuse that report pack where possible.
