  1. Account Transactions Report

    It doesn't make sense that you can separately select the 'Contact' column and the 'Description' column, but that the 'Contact' details show in the 'Description' column.

    It feels like the 'Description' column in the Account Transactions report is wrongly pointing to the 'Contact' data!

    If the 'Description' detail is not available in the Account Transactions report, this column should be withdrawn from the options available for selection.

    It would be great to get this issue fixed.

    Hi team, we want to acknowledge your feedback and the needs you’ve expressed for being able to view the transaction line description in the account transactions report.

    While we appreciate not the news you’re hoping for here - we want to be honest with you all that there are no plans at this stage to change the behaviour of this report.

    We appreciate there can be some confusion of what is shown as it does differ based on the account and the line’s origin. We have added detail within our Xero Central article, but I’ve also noted below for ease of reference.

    • For accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank accounts, and tax account, it shows the contact’s name.
    • For all other accounts, it shows the contact’s name and the item line description.
    • As manual journals don’t have contacts, it shows narration and description.
    • For wage payments, Payroll Employee displays in…
  2. The Supplier Bill Activity report is great for showing transactions for a Supplier if you operate only with one currency.
    However, for accounts with Multicurrency, it should also include optional columns for the Source Currency amounts and when showing just one currency, the balances in that currency in the list of columns.

  3. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  5. Could we please add the 'Due Date' option to the Aged Receivables Summary Report. I love the simplicity of this report versus the Detailed report but unlike the detailed report, there is no option to add the due date.

    Thanks for the feedback, Jodi. When you say you'd like to add the Due date I'm guessing this would be as a column to the report? One thing that would make this tricky is where you have multiple due dates for a customer with multiple invoices in the period the reports being run - what date would you expect to show here?

  9. Thanks for adding the new "compare tracking categories" in the new Profit & Loss Report.

    However, even with this additional development the new version of Profit & Loss Report requires you to manually add each tracking category one by one. Having the feature of "select all" reinstated as the old version did would be really helpful.

    Having limited tracking categories to 200 isn’t helpful, previously Xero was able to search across an unlimited number of tracking categories, but only report on the active ones.

    I’m sure there are many users that have more than 200 tracking categories (not always active…

  10. Analytics Plus - Predictions do not filter based on bank account selection

    When you have multiple bank accounts but only need one selected for cash flow purposes, the monthly predictions that xero has created do not filter out based on the bank account they were predicted from.

    In my example I now have petty cash predictions and interest income from a savings account showing when only the main current account is selected, this messes with the predicted end balance making the cash totally useless

  12. Get rid of (or just hide) "Tracking Transfers" when printing PDFs of manual journals. Seeing descriptions are more important than the background tracking.

  13. Xero offers users the ability to select between cash-based accounting and accrual-based accounting for financial reports. However, a major problem is that the inventory sales reports are based only on accrual-based accounting. This means the financial reports and inventory sales reports are never consistent. Please add the ability to run cash-based accounting reports for inventory sales (sales by item, etc.).

On the P & L reports, there quite often extra lines at the bottom which aren't required this yr, but may be next year. which we don't need ie: Net loss/ profit before beneficiary dist , nor do we need before tax etc as a loss, just need the bottom line ( net Profit /Loss). Companies also have the same issue. Is there a way to "hide" these lines? if not , can we add this as a suggestion please. Don't want to delete, just hide or disable as necessary

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion. We understand you’re looking for a cleaner and more flexible way to format Profit & Loss reports, including the ability to hide specific accounts.

    This could help improve report readability and make it easier to present tailored financial statements to stakeholders.

    We’ll continue to collect feedback and interest from the community.


  16. In the upcoming new Fixed Assets layout/section, if you sort a heading (Asset name, asset number etc.) it only remains for that particular session, if you close out, it'll default back to sorting via the Purchase Date when you re-open.

    Proposing this remembers what the user selected.

    Also if you select "Items per page" it only displays that amount of items for that session, then defaults back to 10 after re-opening.

    Please make it remember the user's chosen setting.

  17. If the VAT201 report endpoint is added to the Xero API, it could save businesses doing the reconciliation for their clients and their tax returns. The report could then be saved directly to an excel document based on specific dates and this could lead to hours of time being saved for the people doing the recon.

  18. It would be very useful if the declined reason could be included in a report/export to enable further investigation as to why quotes where declined.
    This would highlight any patterns, e.g. price to high, delivery to long etc.

    Not exactly what you're after here, however in lieu of not having the ability to summarise within a group you could use the column header to order by Contact within a grouping.

    Being open, we don't have any plans for developing this capability in the near term.

  20. Would it be possible to add Project Codes as a selectable column in the Account Transactions report? We would find this most useful as it would save time.
