  1. When reviewing the GST Audit Report we are able to sort by account number, but when printing in PDF it reverts back to date sort order. Can we have an option to print to PDF in account code order.

Hi everyone, as you may have seen in recent communications - We've rolled out a new and improved New Zealand GST experience.

While we've made many changes, we want to be open that transactions will only print in date order. This isn't something we have plans for changing in the near future and we'll move the idea to not planned. If our position of this changes at any point we'll be sure to update you of this here.

  2. Currently, Xero offers an excellent feature enabling us to view notes and actions related to invoices and transactions. However, I think it would be highly beneficial if we could also access a detailed history of changes made to reports, such as budget manager reports and GST. Recently, I've encountered instances where my final GST reports were inexplicably reverted back to draft status. This unexpected behavior has resulted in confusion and inefficiencies within our financial management process. Regrettably, I have been unable to identify the responsible party behind these changes, leaving me puzzled and concerned about the security of our data.

  4. Get rid of (or just hide) "Tracking Transfers" when printing PDFs of manual journals. Seeing descriptions are more important than the background tracking.

  5. Would like to see Current Account codes rollover each year to an Opening Current Account Balance (same with GST codes, Tax codes, HP's, Bank loans) - like P&L items do to Retained Earnings code. And show the Opening Balance on the Trial Balance.
Currently Xero Trial Balance shows Current Account codes (& all of the above codes) with accumulated Opening Balance & current year movement.
However the report formatting in the advisor standard reports appears to be driven off movements in the current year (so we can't journal the closing balances from last year to an opening balance code -…

  7. The new reports are significantly slower than the old reports. I was wondering if this has been experienced/ shared by other users? And if Xero were working on improving this?

Appears Xero has gone backwards in terms of efficiency...

  8. A report to show transactions that have been posted including the account code and the projects that the transactions have been assigned to with data parameters.

We reconcile the sales, direct costs and gross profit amounts from the project summary report to the same amounts in the profit and loss report but currently there is no way to identify differences when they arise. The above report will really be helpful!

  9. Will there be something developed (in the works) on sharing the mapping report with clients, so they know which codes are lumped together in the P&L and Balance Sheet? This seems to be a common inefficiency where they ask the question and we have to break down each code and manually provide the info, as they don't have access to our reporting templates / edit layout function. Suggest a mapping report breaking key accounts codes down in the P&L and Balance Sheet of the financial statements i.e. a report that would be included with your financial statements to show the…

  10. The Supplier Bill Activity report is great for showing transactions for a Supplier if you operate only with one currency.
However, for accounts with Multicurrency, it should also include optional columns for the Source Currency amounts and when showing just one currency, the balances in that currency in the list of columns.

  13. We often need to generate Project reports for the time period 'Project to Date'.

This isn't an option in the Project Summary report. Can this be built-in as a further standard option?

  15. Ability to set default reporting options (default to show account numbers, specify no. of results per page, your own date preferences), along with favourited reports - but have it linked to your Xero user profile rather than the client's file.

I work on multiple files a day and don't want to change their file settings - but manually changing to my preferred reports every time the page refreshes is exhausting.

  16. I would like to see the ability to customise the Fixed Asset Schedule. Currently it defaults to alphabetical order. In order for us to display the Fixed Asset types in a more logical order we need to name the fixed assets 1- Land, 2 - Buildings etc. We cannot add page breaks either which would be appreciated. We should be able to Edit the layout as we can with the other reports.

  18. Thanks for adding the new "compare tracking categories" in the new Profit & Loss Report.

However, even with this additional development the new version of Profit & Loss Report requires you to manually add each tracking category one by one. Having the feature of "select all" reinstated as the old version did would be really helpful.

Having limited tracking categories to 200 isn’t helpful, previously Xero was able to search across an unlimited number of tracking categories, but only report on the active ones.

I’m sure there are many users that have more than 200 tracking categories (not always active…

  19. Short term cash flow projection, please can you update it to show bills with future dated payments?

Once our suppliers bills are in for the month, we often set bank payments up for them for their due date so that we don't' have to keep remembering to make payments. If we mark them up with a future payment date, they are removed from the cashflow forecast. It would make much more sense if they appeared in the cashflow on the date they have been set to pay.

  20. I am looking for a way to view a value for the supplier or customer transaction as a total value not as individual lines in the vat201 report. For example. I have 3 line transactions in 1 customer invoice, so it shows these three separately. I dont want to view it like that, I want to view it as a complete value, so we can double check the whole invoice as opposed to going to the invoice and looking line through line, which is extremely time consuming
