  2. A report is needed that shows invoices with the payment or credit against the invoice. zThis is needed so an analysis report of the customer is available. Please note the attached file.

  3. It would be nice to have a report where you show the Transaction Date, Account, Check Number, Description, Coding.

    Currently the Check Number is not a data field that you can put into a report.

  4. In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…

  8. The "View recent bills report" functionality on a Contact page has changed since the new reporting was deployed this week. Previously, if you clicked on the link you would see a nice list of all approved bills for that vendor whether paid or not. This functionality has now changed and is effectively useless. Yes, you can get the same info by going into Business/bills to pay but that it is more clunky. Thank you.

  9. In the Accounts Transactions Report - Show all related accounts to include ALL split transactions regardless of how many there are.
    The current Report only display the first few, (please see upload) current format is not fit for purpose. Please under show related accounts, include split transactions not just the first few.

  10. Issue - When accessing the Recent Bill Report from the contact screen the automatic date range is the most current month. If you require anything longer this requires multiple steps to rectify.

    Purpose - To show relevant recent bills depending on the contact/entity, not just the bills in the current month.

    Solution - Have an option to set a custom date range that automatically loads when clicking this report. This custom date range could vary from entity to entity.

  11. Prior to the new reports we were able to select different colours for budget variances on our Xero reports. Green for on budget or better than budget and red for below budget.

    This was immensely useful when going through reports in monthly management meetings as it meant over or under performance in any line was easily recognisable.

    Please can you bring this simple feature back!

  12. When reviewing the GST Audit Report we are able to sort by account number, but when printing in PDF it reverts back to date sort order. Can we have an option to print to PDF in account code order.

    Hi everyone, as you may have seen in recent communications - We've rolled out a new and improved New Zealand GST experience.

    While we've made many changes, we want to be open that transactions will only print in date order. This isn't something we have plans for changing in the near future and we'll move the idea to not planned. If our position of this changes at any point we'll be sure to update you of this here. 

  13. Add a section to manual journals so that you can make adjustments for a specific vendor (customer).
    For example, our customer signed a contract for subscription for 12 months. I show deffered revenue and then every month I transfer part of this deferred revenue to revenue. It is very difficult to track whether all deferred revenue has been converted into revenue if it is not possible to keep records of revenue by counterparties, especially if multi-currency accounting.

  14. Currently, Xero offers an excellent feature enabling us to view notes and actions related to invoices and transactions. However, I think it would be highly beneficial if we could also access a detailed history of changes made to reports, such as budget manager reports and GST. Recently, I've encountered instances where my final GST reports were inexplicably reverted back to draft status. This unexpected behavior has resulted in confusion and inefficiencies within our financial management process. Regrettably, I have been unable to identify the responsible party behind these changes, leaving me puzzled and concerned about the security of our data.

  16. Get rid of (or just hide) "Tracking Transfers" when printing PDFs of manual journals. Seeing descriptions are more important than the background tracking.

  17. Need a way to format the 'xero standard report and then have that formatting flow through to all of the common formats. It takes WAY too long to create SO many custom reports and it is restricting on reporting. We should be able to format the way we want the P&L to always show and then have that flow through to all reports.

  18. Suggestions to improve the reporting of GST Audit Beta

    1. Allow us to select which Tax Codes to display in report (default All)

    2. Show the tax code in each row rather than as a report subheader. Useful when there are lots of records for some tax codes

    3. I noticed that we can select Reference field for the columns, but not Invoice No. If the entry's Ref field is blank, the report shows the Invoice No. So this is misrepresenting the report, and showing inaccurate results as no one analysing the report would know if they are seeing the Ref no or…

    Appreciate the feedback here, community. I want to assure you product ideas in the forums here are a primary source for our product teams when planning development and diving deeper into improving the experience for our customers when using Xero.

    I can understand it may feel that things aren't moving as quickly on ideas you'd like to see developed however you can filter ideas by Working on it to get a sense of ideas from our community that are being worked on, or Delivered for ideas we have released solutions for.

    It really helps having only 1 idea per post in the forums here so others in community understand what they're adding their vote for, and our product teams to get a sense of the interest from our customers in a specific feature.

    Hi Johann, so I can get your request in front of the right team, I just need to check which reports you're specifically referring to. Would one of them be the VAT 201?

  20. Would like to see Current Account codes rollover each year to an Opening Current Account Balance (same with GST codes, Tax codes, HP's, Bank loans) - like P&L items do to Retained Earnings code. And show the Opening Balance on the Trial Balance.
    Currently Xero Trial Balance shows Current Account codes (& all of the above codes) with accumulated Opening Balance & current year movement.
    However the report formatting in the advisor standard reports appears to be driven off movements in the current year (so we can't journal the closing balances from last year to an opening balance code -…
