  1. Trial Balance new report: Be able to run a report by tracking category. At the moment there is only an option to filter but if you have many tracking units you end up running a multiple reports and need to combine them all. Really time consuming.

    My proposal attached - with such report you could do any analysis you want!
    Option to run it by month "compare with" option a dream!

  2. Hi Xero Support,

    We've been generating individual e-invoice from Xero/Invoici for months, however, we could not find any report on e-invoice generated through Xero/Invoici.

    This report could help us in ensuring accuracy of the data exported to MyInvois portal. We would require a specific report on the generated individual e-invoices to make sure that they tally with the sales invoices report from Xero.

    Hi Brenda, just to confirm is it within the graph that you're wanting to increase the # of top customers?

    Currently, if you run the Income by Contact report with Chart & table the chart will only show the top 10 but the table will give you an ordered list for all contacts that you received income from in the period.

  4. I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND A PRODUCT UPDATE ON THE PROFIT & LOSS REPORT.

    THE REPORTS 'Net Profit' ON ALL REPORTS, EVEN IF SOME PERIODS HAVE A LOSS. CAN IT INCLUDE 'Net Profit/(Loss)' AS PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THOSE NOT IN THE ACCOUNTING FIELD TO KNOW THAT BRACKETS MEANS A LOSS, MAY INTERPRET (LOSS) AS A PROFIT

    Hi Ntando, it'll be good to gauge interest from others in the community that'd like this terminology to be used as a default on the Profit & Loss report.

    Want to be open this isn't anything we have any plans for atm with the customisation that's available.

    As you may already be across, currently you can edit the heading of the row through the Edit layout, and then Save as Custom where you have the option to make the report the default for the organisation.

  5. Xero allows us to choose whether or not we show decimals in an Income Statement. We believe showing 2-decimal places on revenue and expenses to be unnecessary, but feel it is VERY important to show 2-decimals on the % of revenue. It is better to show .04% than .00% and .05% than 1%. We would like to see Xero separate the option of decimals between numbers verses percentages so our clients can have a clear grasp on their performance.

  6. Bank Reconciliation - With Separate Debit and Credit columns with their totals
    Currently both DR and CR amounts show in one column. Would love to see them in their own columns when reporting.

    Also, a larger description/reference area would be great.

  7. The new Practice Manager update is mostly great, but why do we need to manually enter the full address now when adding client details? The prefill address search was great and I don't understand why it was removed. It's just a hassle

  8. When adding a new client to Practice Manager or HQ and creating a Xero Organisation to link to said client, the basic Organisation details (e.g. ABN, contact details, address details) should automatically pull through to save double entry. This should also work vice versa, when you create the Xero Organisation with all the client's contact details, then create the client in Practice Manager or HQ and link the two, these details should pull through to the corresponding details in PM/HQ

  9. For clients that are sole traders, the ABN or business address is not appearing on tax returns and has to be manually entered. We should be able to generate a tax return with a business schedule that has the business address and ABN already prefilled per the client's details in practice manager and their Xero file

  10. When you run an account transaction report, for a balance sheet item, the opening balance always appears in the date column. It would be helpful if Xero could recode this so that the date column is balance date + 1, and the words "opening balance" appear in the source column. The advantage of this is that when you go to use the data, and put in a filter, you don't have to edit this.

  11. It would be helpful to have an additional tab on the bills function (add to All Drafts, awaiting payments etc) where a supplier that is paid on direct debit can be flagged and included in a separate list. This means that only bills requiring a batch payment appear on the awaiting payment tab.

  13. Ability to be able to override and enter manual figures in a partnership tax return. This is currently causing me a lot of issues as i now have to upload via other software.

  15. Material only bills to be included on the CIS monthly return report to make it easier to reconcile the CIS materials nominal code to the report, confirming that all invoices have been included in the report.

  16. Ability to enter search criteria for time entries and then make batch edits to the selected entries. Similar to the find and recode function for accounting transactions. Sometime projects change and/or split into multiple projects. Please add the ability to search for time entries by date, employee, project name, task, etc., and returning a list of the time entries that meet that criteria; select the time entries desired and then make bulk edits to the selected items.

    Hi Roger thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you. We can see how this idea can be helpful for some users. The best way indeed is to describe it as Find and recode for Projects. We've reviewed this idea and moved it to gaining support. Its upto the community now to get behind it. We will continue monitoring it for more traction.

  17. Edit the layout of account transaction reports (custom reports) or customise it so that the expenses ("Spend money") get subtracted from the income ("Receive money"). This would make custom reports endlessly more useful as they would show what profit or loss there is for each custom report.

  18. Would be great to have a 'drop down' arrow for box items to hide when finished checking one of the boxes under 'Transactions by VAT box' while checking the VAT return. Or add 'jump to... ' another box so we do not have to scroll up or down.
    'Go to top' button would be great as well.

  20. Aged Receivables/Payables Summary report to include invoice numbers by default, which is commonly available in other accounting softwares. It is crucial to know the number of invoices and unique invoice reference number for ease of reference when reviewing ageing.
