For the price paid to xero monthly, this is an unforgivable gap in capability resulting in significant extra manual effort

Even if the billable receipts could be manually duplicated into the file library would be helpful. Then could add them to the invoice. As things stand at the moment have to remove them from the original line item to do this - or go through the labourious process of downloading and uploading. When this has to be done over multiple invoices it takes alot of time. Please action!

Why are we waiting so long for this basic function?

It makes no sense that this is not included. Should be a simple fix for you @xerosupport. Please action!

@Kelly Munro: Would it be possible to get a status response from Xero on this request please, which so many people have voted for over the ten years since it was made?

It's delusional to expect Xero to actually READ and ACT on this suggestion - the original creation date (Sept 2015) provides the evidence. Subscription price increases and feature restrictions are far more important...

When using Projects to create invoices, lack of this capability is a significant overhead

Ten years and still waiting - whether or not it is quick and easy to do there is absolutely no sign of Xero caring one jot about fixing such a fundamental flaw.

Had another client request this feature, at the moment it is a lot of double handling and a large part of their invoicing process. Hopefully this is an easy and quick development. Thanks Xero

Still waiting. The receipt images/files alrady exist in Xero as are on the Billable Expense that you are assigning to the invoice, so it should not take much for your dev team to bring those same files into the Invoice. Whats the delay Xero?

Instead we need to go find all those same files either outside the system and upload them again, or go to each expense, download files and upload. Such a time waste

THis is absolutely outrageous that XERO doesn;t do this and is lying about the issue not being raised as it has been raised as far back as 6 YEARS ago. I swtiched over from quickbooks and finding xero to be a PAIN. Xero make this work.

Crazy this feature isn't available. Absolutely business critical. Digital banks have exportable receipts as a standard feature which works better than Xero Expenses do currently therefore. I will stop my expenses subscription until this feature is added.

When a bill is marked as rebillable the attachment with the original bill does not automatically attach to the sales invoice when raised so each rebilled expense has to be downloaded and re-uploaded manually, if this could be automatic or an option then that would be good as many clients require evidence of the rebilled expense.
