    PLEASE make this an option. Our customers need to be able to make partial payments. Some customers pay in full, others make payments. This is SO important for us.

    I'm just going to copy Michaels post below. I just cannot believe we have went through all the steps to get it set up. Reached out to all our tenants with full detail instructions on how to make payments through Xero and they cannot pay partial rent payments when they have the money on hand.

    We are in the year 2024 aren't we!
    This should be a simple feature already implemented so customers can pay deposits, part payments or with multiple cards.
    Please hurry this process up, it's costing my business money.

    Thanks for all your input and sharing how we can improve Xero's user roles to cater for the needs of your business and staff you'd like to provide this access for.

    As you may have seen in other ideas we've been conducting some research into user roles across all of Xero. As a step on from this, one of our teams are beginning a deeper dive into solving this idea here and enabling more roles access to Products & services (Inventory) in Xero.

    While this may take sometime to accomplish we wanted to provide an update to you all interested in this, and we'll keep you informed of further progress as the team begin looking into it.

    Hi Nina, this is something I'd recommend engaging your financial institution or bank about. While you can set up and create a payment in Xero, the confirmation of funds transfer would come at the point the money is paid from your actual bank account to the suppliers bank account. 


    If your suggestion however is from the Sales side where you'd like to request your own customers provide proof of payment for invoices you send to them perhaps this could be worked into your organisations branding as part of the payment terms

    Good to hear you're aware of how you can run the Account Transactions report to view this information, Catherine - Is there a reason or something missing from this report that would help you when reviewing transactions?

    Hi Karen, appreciate you shared this feedback sometime ago. Looping back to better understand your idea here - Is there a specific part of Xero you find shows too much white space?

    Appreciate your feedback on search in Xero, Laura. When you say you'd like more options for search are than any specific fields of transactions that you and your clients might commonly search - this'll help when sharing back with the team. 

    If say, you'd search text generally in the description field of a transaction I'll merge your idea here in with this one where we can keep you all updated of any change all together.

    Hi everyone, we've begun rolling out a new feature that enables you to reconcile a period in Xero which'll be available to users with the Standard or Advisor roles. This'll appear as a new tab within a bank account (next to Account Transactions). From here, you can capture the period dates and balances from your statement, and Xero will automatically show and select all transactions within the period. Once the period is reconciled, you'll be able to close it to prevent transactions being deleted or unreconciled within that period. You'll find details of how to access and use reconcile a period on Xero Central.

    As a start we'll be making this feature available to all US and CA organizations, so I'll be back to confirm once fully live in these regions. 🙂

    Hi team, appreciate wanting to hear news from us here and apologies we've not checked back in sooner. Our product team have done initial work to understand the work involved in enabling your customers to pay you through Customer Statements. This is a priority for them and we have plans to develop this capability, however they need to balance this work with other key priorities.     Thanks for your continued engagement with us on this idea, everyone. We understand there are many different ways business work and conduct business with customers, and that you need more flexibility in the way you manage and receive payments for invoices with Xero. While pockets of research have been done in the past we’re getting a fresh lens and conducting a broader piece of discovery to deeply analyse and understand where our efforts could be focused in this space to alleviate existing hurdles in receiving payments for majority of Xero users. We’d like to open the invite to be a part of our teams research pool, where you’d get the chance to share more on the importance of managing payments for your business.     With many varying ideas for roles and permissions in different areas of our products, user roles impact all areas of the product. There are many factors we must consider when addressing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.

    We’re in the process of conducting research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. This being one of our highest voted ideas surrounding roles is a specific focus for the team. too. 

    Discovery of this work is its first stages and will be long running. There will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.

    Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!

    Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

    Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.

    As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).

    We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.

    That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.

    In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…
