Thank you for staying tuned with us through the idea here, everyone. We appreciate those who reached out - The team have received good feedback from their design concepts and are moving forward with work in this space.
A key enhancement within this will be developing the ability to view page breaks within Xero, so you can see how this will impact the report.
We're a wee way off release but with work underway we'll move the idea to working on it. Watch this space for more updates 🙂

Quick turn around, as we were able to roll this out rather fast 😁!
You should all have access to the new Notes feature I mentioned - Found at the bottom of the Contact details section when adding or editing a contact.
As I mentioned, this’ll enable you to enter text such as a requirement for a Purchase order that you’ll be able to see when viewing the Contact record.

Is there a particular reason you'd specifically not want the user to login to Xero to view this information, Ben?
Currently as you may be aware, there's an option to include a link so that your customer can view outstanding invoices they have with you - See more here

Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.
Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give a little more information with the update of this idea's status.
Our product team are currently looking into the development of adding the Pay now button to Customer statements which would enable your customers to pay for multiple invoices at once.
Though it's early days at present we'll keep you updated of their progress, here.

Hi everyone, we appreciate your input and sharing detail of how you'd like to see this developed to help suit the needs of your business.
We want to upfront that we don't have plans for developing this in the next year. However looking further out to the future, our teams will continue to review and consider how they might build inventory in Xero to cater for units of measure.
If you're after an immediate solution, it might be worth exploring connected apps that can integrate with Xero and cater for your business needs. Add tracking Categories to inventory item level. This will mean that you do not need to manually add the category again to each line item on an invoice, but the ability to view and change the category selection at invoice stage could be kept. This should also enable you to run inventory reports filtered by category or summary by category.

Thanks for your expressions and feedback in a bulk download or print facility for Files (either from the Files library or at an individual transaction level)
We know that bulk operations can be handy, however at this time we have no plans to develop this functionality. We know it might seem like a small feat, however often even small change is more tightly woven and intricate to solve beneath the surface.
While we understand this must be frustrating to hear, we’re currently focused on making improvements in other areas of Xero and are unable to prioritise a bulk download or print feature right now.
However, in situations like these there are often connected apps through the Xero App Store that may be able to assist. We appreciate and will revise solutions that could fulfil needs in this space, but want to be honest this isn’t something we have plans for…Andrew Smith

Hi Mark, as cost price of items can change over time, if you often associate specific items you're selling to sales you make to your customers perhaps Billable expenses?
When you add the expenses to your customers invoice this will bring across the cost price of the items you've assigned.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate hearing where our users would like to see change across Xero. We also hear feedback through many other sources, and realistically while we’d love to, we simply cannot work on all things at once. Our product teams must make hard choices on where, and what to develop everyday, to continue delivering consistently high value to our customers.
That being said, there are no plans to make Xero a fully functioning email system for communicating with your contact base, like what’s being asked here. Focus for the team at present is needed on more critical projects, such as building on beautiful. There are many integrations available through our ecosystem, if you don’t find one specifically for sending out bulk emails to contacts, you could approach a custom-cloud integrator to build one for you at a fee.
I know this isn’t the news you’re hoping…

Thanks for your support on the idea, everyone. We thoroughly appreciate your participation, and letting us know where you'd like to see change across Xero.
Customer statements, is an area of Xero that needs upgrades to it's technology in order to make ideas like this one here possible.
Currently, while we have plans for modernising this space soon we cannot commit to any new developments for Statements until this work has been complete. Once this has been done I'll round back to the idea here when we can reset the objectives.

Add a general field to the inventory item, Be able to export / import this field along with the other inventory fields and be able to use this field in reports.
We are a embroidery and print company and would like to use this field for stitch counts against the embroidery logo item. But I am sure that many other businesses would have a need for a field that they could use against the inventory item for their industry / business.
