Hi all, thank you for contributing to idea here. While our Inventory team have reviewed the idea for custom / tiered price lists in Xero, we want to be open that we do not have development planned for enabling more extensive Inventory management like this.
There are many Inventory apps that connect with Xero and offer these types of services and more - You can explore these on Xero App store. To be transparent we will update the status to not planned - If there is any change to this we will share with you here.

Hi community, some time on from my last update we'd love to share further developments in this space with you here.
Since the rollout of our new Files inbox experience, our product teams are continue to enhance and grow out it's functionality across Xero.
For UK organisations we recently launched Smart document capture with intentions of rolling this out to all other regions soon. With Smart document capture Xero will automatically create documents for you to review from within Xero Files. So, while a contact will be required Xero will do a lot of the manual work for you and ensure the file remains attached to the created invoice 🙂
On the flip side we also have a team that is currently exploring how we might solve for wider needs around invoice details that are captured outside Xero and how to gets these in and automate the workflow for you.…

Please reinstate the ability to create a sales invoice directly from the file library and have the file attached. This function was bafflingly removed in 'new' invoicing for sales yet the ability to create all the other types of transactions directly from file library was retained. This is a critical function when dealing with multiple BCIs (buyer created invoices) every month. Often the BCI file name does not include the customer name so requires opening the file in file library as well as creating the new sales invoice since files cannot be attached & viewed within the sales invoice until after specifying the customer contact.
The drop down option to "Add to new" sales invoice is still on the File library screen but does not do anything other than open a new blank sales invoice.

Hi team, we thoroughly appreciate the feedback we've received from our community here.
I want to share that our product team have made a recent change for the banner that you receive in invoicing, so now if you choose to 'dismiss' this it'll be permanent and the banner will no longer appear.
We want to be open that we don't have any plans to provide the ability to turn off online payments for an organisation completely.

Hi team, thank you for the detail in the flows you have when trading that create the need in being able to create a credit note from a paid invoice in Xero.
While this isn't a feature we have planned for development, it'll be good to keep tracking the interest from our community. We will share if there are any updates.

After some testing, we discovered that downloading the file in Excel or Google Sheets format and then saving it as a PDF reduces the column size. While this may not be ideal, it can serve as a temporary workaround.

Hi Jonathan! Thanks for sharing this great suggestion about allowing more flexible date formats in Xero. We can see how being able to type a date in different formats (like dd/mm/yyyy) would be a much quicker and more intuitive experience for many, and acknowledge that this functionality is available within other areas of Xero.
We've also added the supporters of this idea to these two similar ideas; New invoicing and Fixed Assets.🙂

Thanks for sharing in the community here. While we appreciate there are some organisation's that have a large number of accounts, the current 200 limit per page is sufficient for majority of organisations to see their full list of accounts and we don't have plans for extending this.

Hi everyone, we're grateful for your feedback on improving Find and Recode, and recognise how sorting by description could enhance your ability to review and recode transactions.
While not a direct solution, you could filter by Contact and then in the browser Ctrl + F to search highlight keywords in descriptions and find the right transactions. We know it's not perfect, but might help narrow things down.
To be transparent and provide some clarity here, there are no planned changes to change the functionality within Find & recode right now. We will share if our position around this changes and there are any updates for you all here.

Hi community, we understand there are differing needs in this idea for why you’d like a separate posting date alongside the invoice or bill date. Whether it’s for reporting, compliance, or just a more accurate view of when things happened.
While this has been carefully considered, we want to be transparent with everyone here, that this is not something we have plans for developing in the near term.
We know given the interest in this that this is not the update you’re hoping for, and please know that we’ll continue to track votes this idea receives for future consideration. We’ll keep you posted if things change down the line.

Can we please have multiple levels of sales pricing for the same item? And the ability to assign a pricing level to Contacts so that customers who get charged at a certain level (e.g. distributor, wholesale or retail) don't need to have the item price manually overwritten on every invoice. MYOB had this feature 20-30 years ago! Time to catch up.
