Thanks for sharing back on the change, Alan. It's difficult to make changes to suit everyone's needs, and changing the default from 'All' to 'Any' was carefully considered as part of the recent updates to Bank Rules.

This was something users told us would be helpful as many more users create 'loose' rules to capture more statement lines.

Currently there aren't any plans to change this back. What would be more useful would be the ability to set your own default, but for now we'll begin to track the interest of this here.

This is a critical design flaw. I cannot believe that any competent user would want a bank rule to default to 'Any conditions match', that is just ridiculous and has already caused errors in a number of organisations. This must be changed back to default to "All conditions match" as soon as possible.

Thank you for your engagement on this idea. To help explain a little on how this works in the Account Transactions(AT) report - what shows in the Description field when running the report is dependent on the type of account you're running the report for.

For example, when running the AT report for a bank account, transactions will show the Contact name in the Description field. This is because the detail that is entered on each description line in the body of a transaction relates to the account the line item is coded to.

To see the detail, you'll need to run the report for the account code, not the bank account. This is also how the report works for some other accounts such as the system sales tax account, Account Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

If you're trying to find the account a bank transaction or system account line has…

This needs to be added to ALL reports and pages as Xero has said they always default to the minimum amount of lines. Therefore it should be just as easy to set to default to the MAXIMUM amount of lines.
The new "Report preferences" should have this option.

Thanks for the feedback, Richard. Can see where you're coming from and we'll get a sense of the overall interest from users on the thread here but want to be open that we don't have immediate plans for changing this.

To enable a little more swiftness when changing the date of this report you may find typing the letter 't' before clicking or tabbing through to the next field helpful - we have a few more date entry shortcuts you may like to explore, too.

Also two-monthly and six-monthly to align with NZ GST periods (or even "this GST period / last GST period" which could pull straight from the GST setup. I think these would be far more useful to many NZ users than the "this quarter / last quarter" options.

Hi everyone, thanks for the interest in this idea.

As you can appreciate, user roles span across the entire Xero product so there’s many combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. Specifically, our reporting product team is very much aware of the challenges with the current permission sets relating to sharing individual reports with different users and are beginning to look into how we might be able to alleviate some of these reporting challenges.

However, at this stage it’s far too early to anticipate or confirm any direction on where this discovery work will lead, but it will inform our next steps. Additionally, as I'm sure you can appreciate there are sensitivities of data access and security. Creating upgrades to user permissions will need very careful consideration. As most will be across, the reporting  team are leading up to retiring older versions of Xero’s reports on 31

We appreciate all the feedback received through this idea, everyone. Taking on board all your comments there are two sides of the fence when looking at flagging an invoice as 'in dispute' - Looking at the ability to flag a bill/supplier invoice as 'in dispute', versus the ability to flag a customer invoice as 'in dispute'.

It'd be good to get understanding of the interest in each individually so we've started a new idea for bills that you can add your support for.

But to give clarity, currently we do not have plans for developing a flag for bills, or sales invoices.

For those looking for this feature in sales invoice although not specific to each invoice, you may be able to make use of Credit Limits - Find out more and explore how to set up a limit for your customers through Xero Central.

    We'll continue to track…

Hi community, we’re excited to share an update that's in the beginnings of rolled out to all users. Some may notice on the Reconcile page that your bank account now shows up to 50 statement lines at once 🎉
We appreciate all our customers that tested and shaped this update with us. From feedback we combined this release with the ability to search and filter
Along with an increased number of statement lines, you’ll also see a search bar showing at the top of the page where you can enter details from your statement lines including ; Payee, Reference, Description, Transaction type, Cheque No. and Analysis code.
We know one of the needs here was being able to narrow down the date range or the Amounts that you wanted to reconcile for and with this update you'll be able to filter by date range or minimum and maximum amounts.…

Appreciate how this would be beneficial for your business having assurity in an awaiting approvals likelihood.

With businesses having varying levels of assurity around this I want to be open that we don't have any direct intention fo changing reports like the P&L to automatically include this, however we'll begin to track the level of interest around this, here. Thanks
