Hi everyone, thanks for your votes and comments on this idea. It’s clear that a simple 'Untick All' option when creating a pay run would save you a lot of time. We understand that manually deselecting employees one by one is time consuming, especially for those who have a large number of employees but only need to process a pay run for a few. We will keep this idea updated as we move through any design and development phases.

We understand that you've been using workarounds like exporting reports to Excel and manually editing them to get the detail you need. While this can help in the short term, we recognize it is a time-consuming process that shouldn't be necessary.We've shared your valuable feedback with our product team. Hi community, thanks for the strong support in being able to attach files within Xero Payroll, both for employee records and pay runs. We really appreciate you sharing the value and efficiency this could create for you when working with Xero. It's evident that being able to store important documents like licenses, sick notes, and onboarding papers directly in Xero would remove the need for external storing systems or manual processes.
We acknowledge it's not the end goal but wanted to highlight the use of apps, as some have shared like Dext, to help bridge this gap in the meantime.
I want to assure you that enabling attachments in payroll is part of our long-term intentions. However, to deliver this functionality effectively and reliably, we first need to develop some foundational elements within our payroll platform.

Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero.
While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?
You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import.
This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

Hi community, we acknowledge the strong feelings in this idea and why you need a feature to flag bills directly within Xero. We really appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this would help streamline your accounts payable.
We are dedicated to providing a solution for this over the longer term, but this will take some time requiring changes that sit beneath the face of bills.
In lieu of a direct feature for this we wanted to highlight some of the options discussed by the community here:
- Add a note to the bill: A detailed note on the bill itself can serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.
- Utilise tracking categories: Creating a specific tracking category like "Disputed Bills" can help you filter and report on these items.
- Adjust the due date: Temporarily extending the due date can prevent accidental payment while the dispute is…

It would also be good to have a Location Awareness on the app so that an employee can only clock in at work and not away from work.

Hi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here.
We appreciate being able to easily add a secondary emergency contact to the details tab of the employee record is important to you.
Atm, you could use the notes tab to add a new note to the employee record and include the details in here.
To be open we don't have direct plans for making this change within the details tab any time in the near future.

Hi community, though we appreciate the interest and would like to continue seeking feedback on being ale to clock in and out times on timesheets, to share an update from us here - this isn't something we have planned in the short term.

I fully agree with Joanna Johnson's comments and as English law seems the same as the Australian law, this change in Payroll on Xero is extremely necessary.
