Hi everyone, some time on since my last update I wanted to give you more of an idea of the work we have going on to help reduce the number of steps and actions in new invoicing. Along with the changes mentioned in my last update, we've since released a change to the view of an invoice to shift details back into their own columns (similar to classic), while a small change we know it's improved visibility for some of our customers.
We also have other work in development atm that’ll further help here like a new line item grid when editing your invoice - wrapped up in this we’ll be introducing changes you’ve been asking for like the ability to create a new tracking option or account code without having to navigate away from the invoice, we’re increasing the number of items that you can view from the drop…

An error occurred while saving the comment Craig Byron commentedWhat Xero are charging for effectively a trial accounting package once you consider the 5 bills per month is just an assault on small business customers.
I spoke to my salesman about this and the response I got was "I'll pass it on, but the higher ups are arranging the pricing to move away from small businesses and they are sure they know what they are doing"
It seems a crazy strategy to me, bigger businesses would never see Xero as a good fit, then the marketing is all about getting your small business out of a shoe box.
Well, if your shoe box only has 5 bills a month in it, you'll be fine, if not you'll be paying 2-3 times the cost of other products in the market which for all purposes will be more suitable.
I mean $90AUD / per month to enter bills and pay wages for a second employee after yourself is plainly prohibitively expensive for a step up from shoe box bookkeeping and I'd blame no one for sticking with that system and pocketing the $1,100 a year.

Hi everyone, as another step toward improving history of new invoicing you'll find you'll now see an entry when an invoice is sent, and the email address it has been sent to.
We appreciate this is something we've heard a fair amount of feedback on and we hope helps in your journey to using new invoicing.
We still have more enhancements on the way for history and I'll be back again when more updates land.
An error occurred while saving the comment Craig Byron commentedI've spoken to multiple people from Xero about this, it's the same trained answer. "We hear you, I'll speak to those above, but I fear the decision hs been made and the higher ups know more than you, so suck it up" It was the same with the reports fiasco, you can't help but feel you are being asked to take your business to another platform.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all your feedback on how we could evolve roles for customers using Xero. As you can see through the ideas on the platform, there are a wide range of combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. As user roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re beginning to conduct research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. Front footing this, the discovery of this work will be long winded and there will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.
We’d like to invite you, our community to be part of this research and discovery. This may involve interviews…An error occurred while saving the comment Craig Byron commentedI'm an accountant with one employee using ledgers to produce financials for a number of clients. Ledger subscriptions that restrict accees to reporting to one user only are an expensive frustration. I either need to give them my credtentials to use to prepare those financials, or I need to upgrade to a subscription that costs 3 times as much

Thanks for the update Xero, allthough I'm simply staggered this is where you're at in such a late stage of a major software "upgrade". I can see why Xero has never been profitable, and it's got nothing to do with being a software start up. I wouldn't be a shareholder if you paid me.
