Heya team! We know it's been a while since this idea was initially started but we really appreciate your feedback on how dynamic dates for report templates would be useful.

Our reporting product team are currently doing some discovery that could possibly solve for the needs here and we'd love to get your input to help validate their research.

If you'd be keen to be involved please book a time with our team through the 👉 link here.

We really appreciate your engagement, and I'll be sure to share outcomes in our next update.

Hi everyone, we appreciate how automatically sending statements could improve cash flows, and save the manual efforts involved in this periodic task.

We recognise the importance of this functionality, and with a clear focus on decreasing the time it takes for our customers to receive payments, I’m pleased to share that this idea is now In discovery. 😊

While we can’t give any commitments to development yet, this is a good step in the right direction and we’ll be sure to update you on progress from the exploration here. Thanks!

    In agreement with everyone.
For especially rental agencies or similar type of businesses. You always send recurring invoices that relates to the period coming.
I.e sending invoices on 20 July for effect of August Services (therefore the invoice date for accrual purposes have to be August)

Hi everybody, coming across from the previous forums we know this idea has a lot of interest.

There is a way of using Xero's reports to accomplish what you're asking here and save the format so you can easily access and send this report to your customers outside of Xero.

Running the Aged Receivables detail report you can choose how many ageing periods you'd like to show and set the period to '30 days'. Simply Filter the report by Contact and Update to run.

    • Once you've got it set up, save as Custom so you can easily access this format anytime
    • If you deal with groups of contacts this also means you could Filter for multiple contacts to combine the view into one report rather than multiple customer statements 🙂
    • Export the report to PDF, where you can send to customers from your email system outside of Xero

    We appreciate…

    This is just extremely dissapointing.

Especially after you state the obvious - "we know this idea has a lot of interest"

Unfortunately, most customers pay 30 days on statement. So unless the Statement gives the 30 days portion CLEARLY, whilst showing the movement and ensuring they have all the latest invoices of the past month ready for payment in the next... This creates a lot of headache and I have a lot of clients thats is constantly asking.

Then Xero is constantly talking of making things beautiful... Have you had a look at the Statements section?? It is still the OLD Xero look - So the hope and the expectation has been that when Xero started moving to the NEW INVOICING the Statements on which that invoicing is based will also receive some love.

So unfortunately, the very poor workaround given above, adds to the frustration and does not take away from it.

I realise that Xero will probably never read what I have just written - considering the amount of feedback we get on these requests - even though this particular request has been coming on for YEARS! I am talking before 2017 period.

So unless there is doubt - This function is an Accounting System BASIC - not a gimick or nice-to-have. And the expectation from every business owner is that this is included - it is not specifically asked, becuase it is like asking if water is wet - it is a universally accpeted fact... but here we are... the Xero community stading corrected in the desert where water is dry.

Hi everyone, appreciate the interest in the idea here.

We do want to highlight the ability to bulk recode transactions from one tracking option to another through Find & Recode - while only available to those with the Adviser role this will allow you to accomplish what's being asked here.

We'd recommend having a try in the demo co. if this is a new tools for you. 🙂

Yes. That might be true. You can use Find & Recode.

BUT, you can not use it on Quotes, Purchase Orders or Any Voided/Deleted transactions in Xero (which still hovers in the deep dark corners of Xero)

So if you want to get rid/delete a tracking option that was used, and maybe on that one invoice that was voided. You c
an forget about correcting that element. You are stuck. If it irritates you as much as me, then you must start a brand new Xero profile.

I would consider this function to form part of Bank rules ideally
Submitting a amortisation schedule linked to the fixed amount coming of the bank to do the automatic interest and capital split

Hi community, sometime on since my last post we wanted to provide an update for your all here and appreciate the continued attention this idea is receiving.

We want to be upfront that at this time focuses for the team are in other areas of bank reconciliation and we don't have any current plans for developing the ability to import and export bank rules from an organisation.

We understand and know this is important to everyone that has voted for the idea and will continue to review and pay close attention to the feedback and votes here. When there is more opportunity for the team to refocus efforts here we will keep you informed of any progress.

Restrict the ability to create a new contact,
or at least do a verification of a new contact by e.g. pop up window "are you sure you want to create a new contact?"

And taking it one step further - running a validation check in the current contact list and make suggestions of other current contacts that is closely alligned.
e.g. after entering " H and M stores" a pop up can ask, did you not mean "H&M Stores" that is currently a contact?

Hi team, wanting to provide an update to you here, we want you to know we understand the efficiency more users would like to have in being able to automate the creation of the Xero subscription invoice inside their Xero org.

To highlight from my last update for UK users this is possible with eInvoicing through the online invoice (My Bills page).

This is still something we're interested in developing in more regions however isn't planned in our roadmap just yet.

When resource opens up for us to be able to pick this work up we will share an update with you all on this here. Thanks for staying engaged and supporting in this idea.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.

I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.

When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being…
