  3. We need to know how much to provide for on the balance sheet for annual leave and long service leave each month and track these for our financial statements. All the information is available via Xero payroll (leave balances and pay rates for each employee as well as leave accrued and leave taken) but in order to account for this correctly we are expected to export reports and do the calculations ourselves. And we need to maintain external files to reconcile this to each month.
    If Xero is offering a payroll and leave tracking function it should ensure the accounting…

  4. Ability to send and generate online commencement forms from Xero Payroll.

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. This is a feature that our team have looked into and would like to develop for AU Payroll, however there are a few other key pieces of work lined up before they get a chance to explore this further.

  5. This will allow for easy review of an employee's age alongside their current payrate and adjustment post birthday. Currently, I run two reports, Employee Contact Details and Employee Remuneration Report, export to excel and merge to allow cross reference of all information. The remuneration Report would also benefit from having all wage categories to select if needed, ie: Saturday Rate, Sunday Rate, Public Holiday Rate etc. Negating the need to access each employee pay template to check correct rates have been set up.

  6. Unscheduled pay run - most of my unscheduled pay runs are paid on the day of creation.
    It would be good to be able to change the payment date to the actual date of payment instead of the date selected by the unscheduled pay run.

    E.g. unscheduled pay run for the week ending 13th Aug has a payment date of 16th Aug yet payment may have been made on 18th Sep.

  9. We would definately want to see the hourly rate and hours for overtime for staff on annual salaries.
    At the moment the overtime hours are printed but not the rate of pay for the overtime.

  10. At the moment, we can only download the P45 and then email to employees by different software. It would be better if we can just email the P45 directly to employees from Xero.

  11. Can you please give the option to inactivate past employees/leavers from payroll summary when doing reports. Every employee we have ever had is coming up on the report each time.

    Also how do I set up overtime payments to stay on employee profile instead of using the drop down menu every week.

  12. Can the Annual Leave Cash Up leave type please be automated to roll into Annual Leave once the payrun is posted. It would be a great time saver.

  13. It would be really helpful if there was a report that showed the actual amount of hours worked per month per individual and as a total. Our company has busy seasons, as well as quiet seasons and having a report like this would help us in planning our staffing situation.

  14. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.

  15. Create the option to use Days or hours for time off (holidays).
    Holidays are often calculated in days or 1/2 days not hours.
    Having this option for pay & pay rates would also be helpful and also on payslips

  16. Could Xero start looking at a drop down box on the allowance to have one as Not Reportable (alongside the other catagories eg. Meals, Tools, Car), and to have it out for STP reporting? or another checkbox down the bottom along with the withholding tax, super, and W1 questions?
    Instead of going through the long winding process of creating an ordinary earning, remove as deduction and do a reimbursement as per https://central.xero.com/s/article/Process-special-pay-items-like-living-away-from-home-allowance

  17. Automatically generate payment invoices when creating payroll.
    The current help article suggests creating spent money entries on the fly when reconciling.
    It would be better to be able to generate accurate payment and separate code tax invoices when the payday is filed.
    The advantages are that:
    - the payment is reconciled to where it is created ensuring it is correct,
    - the invoices are easily selectable into batch payments from payable invoices which correctly connects to bank batch payments,
    - payments to IRD could be raised to different contacts for each payment type allowing the right references to be attached…

  19. The report should be able to generate Employee Name (First & Last in separate columns), DOB, TFN, Bank Details provided, Super Funds & Address.

    We need various information like from time to time for reporting purposes but we cannot get it without having to click in to every single employees - which is hectic

  20. just like overtime wages, it's important to separate unused annual leave paid from regular annual leave paid because this will enable accountant to quickly cal-check whether super guarantee has been calculated/set up correctly. it's impractical or inefficient if we have to check all the pay item settings.
