  1. Roster Board for Employee Shift Management.

    A scheduling /roster to show employee shifts. That then can be reconciled against the timesheets submitted. The ability to also send the weekly/fortnighly schedule roster to each employee - or have them be able to view it on the Xero Me app. Have a clock in clock out feature on the Xero Me App to record when a shift starts and ends.

  2. Payroll doesn’t calculate pension until after you submit the payroll/RTI, so you don’t know what the actual net payments are until submitted. Try explaining to a client that what they signed off isn’t what they actual pay.

  3. Ability to import leave requests using CSV files.

    Purpose: To save users time from having to manually create a request to the employee, and approve it. This will also help if they’re using a third party that allows them to export CSV.

  4. Leavers can only access payslips 14 days after leave date. 14 days is not enough time as the final pay ay not have been processed at this time. So final payslips then becomes a manual process. If P45's could also be accessed that would be great.

  5. With separating the All purpose allowances. Is there going to be a selection for SICK LEAVE and RDO in the future? (Currently Contributes to Annual and Overtime) only. There is a lot of room for error when you have 50 employees and you have manually adjusted the rate for every single employee!! I'm sure we are not the only company that has RDO and Sick Leave where the all-purpose allowances need to be included in the base rate. Could you please Add this option to the allowances pay item.   6. Xero Me - Needs spot in App to input the Earnings Rate and Tracking Category for the employee. Needs a start/stop button for clocking in/out so that when the employee starts the day they simply press start and the app records the time started. When they press stop it records the stop time until the start time is pressed again. This can be used for breaks and for start and finish of the day - these can be edited if someone forgets.   7. I feel it would be very useful that once a payroll is processed and the system uploads payslips into Xero Me that the employees either get an email from the system or the associated app notifies the employee that there is a new payslip available to view.

    I understand that Xero can securely email payslips, but I think that it would be useful for Xero had the ability to be able to automatically notify employees of uploads into Xero Me

  8. Could Xero please introduce the ability to report child support deductions and garnishees via STP reporting to the ATO.

    Xero currently does not support reporting of child support deductions through STP Phase 2 with Xero Payroll.

  9. When adding new Pay Items in Australia, Reportable as W1 should be ticked as a ticked as the default as the vast majority of Pay Items in Australia are Reportable under W1.

    Every time the award changes and we import pay items from Deputy, the new items have Reportable as W1 turned off and we have to manually change them.

    Changing the Xero default may or may not fix that problem but it should be the default nonetheless.

When entering information on time sheets for employees, the ability to hit "next" to move onto the next employee once you have approved the time sheet rather than having to go back out to the main timesheet menu, find the appropriate timesheet on the drop down list & go back in to enter the timesheet for the next employee.

  11. For some clients we use Xero's Postponement and Eligibility letters. This has proved very useful but currently the letters cannot be customised.

    We have a client for example who pays a higher employer contribution percentage than the standard. The letters however, only show the standard percentage's despite the settings being different to the standard. We also have a client who has asked for their company logo to be added to the letters.

    After speaking with Xero Central I was informed that the letters currently cannot be customised and don't pull from the pension settings.

    If this could be looked into…

  12. Please re-work the Employee Contact Details report to include ALL of the information available in the employee bulk upload template and in the same format. Also add email address to the bulk upload format as it is already in the Employee Contact Details report.

    When a client undergoes a restructure, the employees must be copied into the new file. It is EXTREMELY time consuming to type it all.

    You have the start of a great export/import ability, it just needs a little bit of attention and it would be perfect.

  13. we will have an overseas employee (from NZ) joining our australian company. In payroll I can put under Taxes the status Foreign Resident but not his address in NZ. I find this very restrictive to only be able to choose a State in Aus and no overseas addresses. Anybody an idea how to circumnavigate this without having to find some additional app to connect with Xero as was suggested by Xero Support.

  16. Automatically accrue RDO hours after a certain amount of hours logged.

    Job management systems push 80 hours over as a timesheet in Xero.

    We would like the total combined hours logged (ordinary hours, annual leave, RDOs, personal leave and public holidays) in excess of 76 hours to automatically be converted to RDO hours.

    E.g: If I log 80 hours ordinary time, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 78 hours ordinary time, I accrue 2 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 80 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
    E.g: If I log 72 hours ordinary time…

  19. Set the default time method for timesheets.

    Allow the payroll admin to set the default method for all employees to capture the timesheet details. EG set all employees to use only the time in and time out method not the hours method.

  20. Currently you are able to select the tax scale Horticultural/Shearers but there is no default tax rate attached. Apparently if employee falls under this scale you need to select for reporting to ATO which means you have to then manually calculate tax when you do the pays which is not possible if you have multiple employees knowing which employee wants what rate as they all do not use the default. This also leads to errors if not picked up it doesnt calculate automatically. May I suggest that we urgently attention to have the default ATO tax scale rate included with…
