UK Payroll - Auto enrolment postponements
When an employee has a postponed autoenrollment the pension doesn't prompt or show up until just before the payment run has been posted. Making any prior payroll reports and payslips incorrect as the pension then tags on at the end. So reports then need to be reprinted and balanced again.
Can the prompt no show up at the start of the pay run? This will then save any duplicated reports and potential incorrect payments.
Also the pension filing report viewable before the RTI posting.
Alternatively, enter the postponement date when posting the pay run in which the employee becomes eligible…

It would save a significant amount of time if VAT periods in Xero could have a separate lock date than the accounting period lock date. For instance, an invoice/bank transaction is still outstanding when filing a VAT return, and the VAT return date could be locked so once this outstanding transaction is completed at a later date, it would automatically appear on the next VAT return. AU Payroll - Company logo to appear on payslip email
Can we please add a company logo on the payslip email?
At the moment it just has the 'Xero me' background saying "your payslip is attached" ect. It would be nice to be able to swap that image with our company logo thanks.

Payroll reporting: Accrued Leave Balances
REPORTS:
Need "leave balances" + "leave transaction" report to include the "accrued balances" as a separate line also, so this can be reported on by employee on request.Company opted to unticked the option to included leave in advance to balance because this is causing issues for the business, so now only showing entitled leave balances (after anniversary) and not the accrued leave?

Manual Journals - Setting to turn off "Show journal on cash basis reports"
As default, can you please turn off the check box "Show journal on cash basis reports"
For users that rely on the 'Cash Summary' report, non-cash journals create significant difficulty getting a true read on the cash position of the business, a key requirement for this report. Thanks30 votes -
Invoicing - Include PDF attachment when emailing invoice
When Xero are emailing out their invoices please can you go back to attaching the invoices as a pdf as it quicker to be able to forward them rather than having to sign in and save them as draft, especially when you are having to do loads for clients.
49 votesThanks for sharing back on this, everyone. We'd like to confirm the way the options works now when sending in new invoicing - This is triggered by previous behaviour.
So, when you send using new invoicing, the selection for 'Attach PDF' is driven by the last invoice you sent. If the last selection was unticked the next invoice you send will automatically be unticked, and vice versa.
What's worth noting is that this is a browser based setting. For example if you change computers or browsers your setting will revert to default where both options are unticked. As you'll see from my recent update on this similar idea this is something we may explore further down the line but we don't have any immediate changed planned for.

Bank Reconciliation - Copy details from statement line into spend/receive money
Please set the bank reconciliation lines on the right-hand side to pre-populate with the details on the left=hand side, that is as long as there is no 'match'' and it is not a transfer. I'm mystified as to why I have to copy and paste all of the information from the left side to the right side when Xero could do this in a jiffy. Presently the pre-population remembers a long lost description I may have made such as 'birtthday gift' and Xero is remembering this forevermore. AU BAS - Lodgment for grouped entities BAS
Where you have multiple legal entities that are able to lodge a consolidated BAS/GST return for the Group, having an ability to lodge the one return from Xero, without having to manually consolidate the various legal entities data outside of Xero via excel or some other means.

New Invoicing - Ability to remove tracking using keyboard
We use two tracking category's depending on which country the transaction relates to, the category options are the projects in that country, if a tracking option has been added to the wrong category on an invoice and you need to remove it you can't leave the category blank, on the old invoices and other areas of Xero you have (none) under the category options which you can choose if it is to be blank but this option is not there on the new invoicing
3 votesHi community, we appreciate the 'none' option in the Tracking drop down was useful for customers to remove the selection, especially where you prefer to use the keyboard. This is something we're working to add into new invoicing atm.
As mentioned in my last update, right now to remove the tracking option that's been entered in a row, you'll want to clear the contents of the field, and then click in any other field in the invoice. This way the tracking will remain blank.

I always want to reconcile my newest transactions first, as they are freshest in my head. It's actually become pretty maddening not having this feature.

Sales - Search for Invoice by Description

I am suggesting that within the Invoicing section of Xero, where a Search can be initiated, a checkbox is required that will "Include Description" - allowing customers to search for an invoice by the contents of the description field.
I understand the performance impact on the overall system of putting this feature in the "Global Search" box, hence my suggestion to make it an "Optional" search via checkbox.
Because the invoice reference field was reduced to 255 characters (https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/49018595-new-invoicing-remove-255-character-limit-for-ref), this would be the only way to be able to find…

Customise trial balance periods
The default on the trial balance report is one year. This should be customizable to make it easier for reporting extended and shortened accounting periods. It would also help more complex and larger businesses using Xero for their quarter/month-end reporting and analysis.

New invoicing - Option to leave date field blank like classic invoicing
In New Invoicing can the Date field be left blank when in draft status as per previously. Regularly I create draft invoices and want to continue to be able to leave the date blank or to put tentative dates in before moving forwards int he process.

UK payroll - Ability to include additional fields in Pension Contribution Report
Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

Billable Expenses - Assigning items to customers, make clicking "OK" act like the "Assign" button
I regularly forget to click "assign" before "OK" when assigning a customer to a billable expense. In the attached screenshot, I've identified an expense, found the customer, and the line item is ticked. It's infuriating to have to remember to click "Assign" before "OK", when the rest of the interface is telling me that everything is all set and saved. While I try to remember to press the wretched "Assign" button first, could you please change the default so that clicking "OK" has the effect of clicking "Assign" automatically? There shouldn't be a separate "Assign" button.

Could the Accounts Watchlist feature have an option to have user specific watchlists? The accounts I want to pay close attention to as Head of Finance is different to what the Finance Assistant wants to see. Not all accounts are organisation wide specific.

New Invoicing | Contact - Change default selection on tab from "add new"
Currently trying to use the new invoicing, but I'll start typing a contact name then tab across before seeing the contact pop up, since I use this contact daily. Under the old invoicing, it would just find the contact once I hit tab. Under the new invoicing, a new contact is created. And since the invoice is saved immediately, this new contact is also saved, so once I finish with the invoice, I then need to go and archive the contact that was created.
Can we change the defaults or something to fix this?

Currently our team are working on some improvements to the To field in new invoicing and the contacts card that appears when selecting a contact. We understand some of our customers make use of the keyboard much more than the mouse and in reviewing the flow when using Tab the team will be making a change to make selection of a contact and movement to the date field smoother. I'll come back to confirm the detail of the change when this is released.
