  1. Don't like the new system of averaging the hours out over the 12 months calendar. I've done the maths (even with a support manager at Xero) and it simply isn't accurate unless the employee starts on 1st Jan and works the entire 12 months.

    If it can't be binned on behalf of the original system then at least give us the option to pick which one we prefer by selecting a setting

I have an employee with an Attachment of Earnings Order (AEO) and whilst I have been able to set up the amount to be deducted on the payslip template each month, it appears that it is not possible to enter an opening balance on Xero for this deduction. I don't know if it is usual to show a YTD figure for AEOs - certainly Student loans have a YTD figure on the payslip and I would imagine that it will feature on the P60, but I can't see how Xero is going to produce this correctly without allowing me to…

  3. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

  4. Restrict the "Mark as reconciled option" on payments to be "adviser" user level access only. This will reduce the instances of clients inadvertently causing bank reconciliation errors. Many dont understand the implications of clicking this.

  5. Please can the hyperlinks to Credit Notes appear on the statements of customer accounts? We have so many queries to send credit notes after statements are sent out because there is no hyperlink to it on the statement, time consuming and unnecessary.

  6. Be able to search for a particular term within invoices. For instance as service that is not often invoiced. Could then allow you to copy that particular invoice to a new invoice.

  7. Pls can you consider providing an option to view all Debit balances as positive values and all Credit balances as negative values (in brackets) on the Chart of Accounts as well as accounts on the Dashboard?

    That way it's immediately obvious if a balance is owing TO the business or BY the business, without having to first determine if an acc is set up as an asset or a liability on the Chart of Accounts.

  9. Approve and add another bill with credit note unapplied.

    When you add a bill and select approve and add another, you are automatically asked to apply the credit note or skip, both options doesn't open a new bill window. I would like to see the credit note as an option, not requirement.

  10. It shouldn't be so difficult to assign expenses to customers or projects, an expense or spend money item shouldn't need to be edited to add it to a customer or project.
    Simplifying this process could be as simple as an extra column that can be enabled on the Account Transactions view and if a transaction isn't assigned to a project or expense then it can be simply clicked in the column and the customer or project selected.
    Additionally Bank Rules should be able to include the option to assigned to customers or projects, if we have a client that charges…

  11. It is crazy to not be able to filter History and Notes by notes. What good does a note do me if I either have to:
    1. Go to the customer to see if there is one OR
    2. Have to read through all of the "Edited", "Credited" etc just to find the notes.

    Also make it so the notes can be filtered by customer/supplier. Notes do absolutely no good if they cannot be accessed or looked at easily.

    The attached has been filtered so the type is ONLY customer. I highlighted the items that are desired. All the rest…

  13. The feature request is to allow the defining of current liability accounts for pay items with pay types set to Deductions, Payroll Taxes, and Post-tax Deductions. This will enable the tracking of payroll source deductions and taxes necessary for remittance reports to the tax authority (such as EI, CPP and income taxes for T4 and T4 summary completion in Canada).

    There are two ways I believe Xero developers could achieve this goal.

  15. We would like to be able to capture non-financial (eg head count) and statistical numbers (eg Order Book) in Xero and add it into Xero reports alongside the existing financial information for management reporting
    Currently it seems that accounts that are added automatically appear in the Chart Of Accounts.
    Could another Account Type be created that allows memo accounts to be created outside the CoA?

  16. We have had the unfortunate event of an employee pass away whilst still employed.

    I would like to suggest that Xero make it easier for companies to be able to process a death benefit payment (ETP - type D) within the system rather than having to process this manually and then having to do journal entries for the system to balance correctly. And to then have to process paper copies of PAYG payment summaries to report this to the ATO.

  17. Australian Payroll - sick leave on payslip - want to show balance without accrual in the payrun, and to be able to do this after employment has commenced. Currently this is only possible if you allocate the full balance to employee's at the start of the employment. Historically this has not been done and it needs to be changed to avoid staff confusion and having to reset the leave each payrun.

  20. Overall Cash Balance widget for Xero Dashboard. I actually love the Overall Cash Balance widget for the app. Can we have that as an option for the Xero Dashboard for the web version as well? It's handy to be able to log in and instantly see the total cash for my business.
