  1. In Sales by item report we need a column of Customer as well, since it's not available so we are not able to get the details which customer ordered which product.

  2. For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.

    This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

    Hi Manesh, have you tried the new Account transactions report? When you run this report you'll be able to see how many items are in the report, noted in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. 

  3. Please make it harder for employees to accidently create their own Xero account. Most employees can handle accepting the invite to Xero Me but a lot seem to be able to set up their own Xero instead and then when they try to login to the employer Xero, their email address is already linked to another account. If they have been sent an invite from Xero they shouldn't be able to create their own Xero with that address.   4. Need to allow bank rules to gross up. I want to apply a bank rule to say the net received is net a 2.2% fee. I want to be able to compare different fees I am charged via websites, Stripe, Square Reader, Paypal etc.

    You have to enter bank rule for each amount you charge. You only allow a rule to be split to 100%, it should be able to gross up. As such net received $97.80 is $100 (Sales) and 2.2% or $2.20 of gross sales (fee exepnse).

  6. Please consider adding more customisable options for the financial statements as they do not look professional when compared with Sage Handisoft reports (for instance).

    Just to start off, there should be an option to remove the horizontal lines across the page on each account and heading, change indentation, font & in particular font size. The font size is so small it should be close to double that!

    Thanks for your valued feedback here everyone. Considering elements mentioned we wanted to highlight Report styles which are available to Xero Partners through Reports in Xero HQ.

    With Report styles Partners can now set logos, change the colour of report titles and size of the font in reports, across client organisations.

    We appreciate there are other improvements mentioned that you'd like to see capabilities expanded too and will continue to track the interest and share any more improvements of this with you all.

  9. Xero Project feature idea

    • drill down transaction from Xero Project reporting
    • Report template Xero Project layout can not be saved to custom report template
    • assign project to Payroll
    • Inactive jobs, still showing in the list although its in the different section, in my opinion the inactive project should not show up at all, should make the same like employee list where there is a dongle to show inactive Projects.

    Thanks sharing with us here, Haider. Not something that we have plans for extending the integration for at present, but we'll start tracking the support in this here and let you know if there's any plans for change. 

  12. At present customers can use a link to view invoices on line and to create an account so they can view and pay any other outstanding invoices.
    Can the same be provided to suppliers to they can check if their invoices have been processed and show the expected payment date?

  13. Custom Invoice Template did not work well for Thai characters. I've used Tahoma font as suggested on https://central.xero.com/s/article/Change-font-layout-and-column-headings-on-invoices-quotes?userregion=true#Useforeignlanguagecharactersininvoicesandotherdocuments but the characters above and below letters are not display properly.
    Please find the attached for your reference.

    I would like to ask for a font that can work well with Thai characters on invoice template.

  14. It seems like a ridiculous hack to have to duplicate tasks for various staff members or charge out rates. eg TASK1(apprentice), TASK1(trade assistant), TASK1(Tradesman)...TASK2(apprentice) ...and so on.

    The inability to organise 'tasks' into groups/ headings within a project is another obvious flaw and means that 'tasks' could functionally only really be used as 'major cost centres' rather than granular tasks, but even at a very top level breakdown, having those 'tasks' would get unwieldy very quickly.

    I know that Xero Projects is a light weight add on, but that is also part of its appeal. So many other offerings eg.…

  16. Employer pension contributions for employees on SMP should be calculated on the employee's earnings before they went on leave, not on the reduced rate of 90%. Xero's calculation is currently on the latter with no option to overwrite. The correct calculation would be first choice, but the option to change figures would be helpful also

    If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie? 

    There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here. 

  18. When a client emails bills into Xero files, they often include a note saying APPROVED or POST TO DIRECT COSTS and even- PLEASE PAY TOMORROW. At the moment I have to open the email, take a copy, email it back into Xero files and then attach that to the bill along with the original bill. Can a copy of the email be automatically attached to the bill when it is processed from files? It would save a lot of time.

  19. We need to upload an Approval Matrix/Approval hierarchy with a scope depending on "Location" and "Total amount" with 2 levels of approvers for "Expense claims" (EC) & "Purchase Orders" (PO).
    With that, we are looking for automation on sending the EC & PO automatically by the system to the correspondent Approver depending on the scope through email.

    Thanks for your idea, Micaela. Expenses and Purchase Orders are quite different transactions types in Xero. 

    We try to keep one idea per thread here so we can get a true view of the interest for that specific functionality. I've slightly adjusted the title of your idea to represent Expense Claims but welcome you to start another for Purchase Orders specifically where we can track that too 🙂

  20. It would be great if we could edit the tax rate without reversing the payment allocation. Sometimes, when completing the VAT reconciliation before sending to HMRC, I spot errors in tax rates and I can't edit it without reversing the payment allocation. You can edit the account it is posted to but not the tax rate.
