  1. Could you please add the option to pay have different payment dates for bills in a batch payment. Perhaps you can select to choose 'one payment date' or the 'planned payment date' when creating the batch. This way we can bundle multiple payments into one batch and don't need to set up multiple batches for multiple payments dates.

  2. When selecting a published report to copy for the next period, it would be ideal if there was a copy and edit option in the shortcut options. This would allow users to create a copy of the report from the main menu instead of being required to open the report and then selecting the option.

  3. Please provide a report by Customer for Profit and Loss and allow us to upload a budget for each customer so we can include the forecast in XERO. QBO has much better and flexible reporting than XERO. Please see attached QBO Report of P&L by Customer. Please mimic this report in XERO.

  4. I would be good to be able to carry out data analysis of each nominal code and therefore group the account transactions by month with totals rather than by week which will ultimately tie back to the P&L. This would make it useful when carrying out data analysis from the P&L.

  5. Ability to switch between payroll calendars for an employee with multiple roles eg Jane is on the weekly payroll for her role as studio manager. She is also paid monthly super only for her roles as a sub-contractor yoga teacher.

    So far we have managed this by posting Jane's weekly pay, and then switching the payroll calender to process the super and then switching it back again. The problem is that if Jane is already in a draft weekly payrun the calendar can't be switched until the draft payrun is processed. This makes the process fiddly.

  6. When allocating a credit note to a customer invoice we need to be able to report on this event and no date is stored at the point of allocation.

    In the current system you can see credit notes allocated against invoices only when in the documents as a credit note displays similarly to a bank payment. You can to an extent identify credit notes allocated against invoices by running reports against the Accounts Receivable ledger, filtered by source 'credit note allocation' but you cannot filter this in any way to see recent events.   7. While performing a task of Bulk Income Reconciliation , I have to add Invoice one by one likewise 70123 , 70124, 70125 and so on. This is very time consuming task.
    Could we have range over there so that we can directly select all and reconcile the same.

    Hi there 👋, for the example you've provided here you could enter "701" into the search field which would search all unreconciled invoices that include this detail in the Invoice Number field. 

    While not a definitive range this'd enable you to focus on a group of invoices in a sequence - Would this suit for what you're after here?

  8. It's very hard to tell multiple organizations apart, particularly if they have the same initials. Currently, Xero simply displays the organizations' initials. It also assigns a random color to each organization. It would help distinguish these greatly if the organization settings allowed me to upload an avatar for each organization. Xero's Demo Company already illustrates how this feature would look. Also, it would help edit the color Xero assigns so that the color could match each organization's branding.

  9. The Project Details report has the option to Summarise by Project Name, however the feature doesn't work if you select multiple projects. Xero support have advised that they know about the problem but don't plan on fixing it. The report just comes back with a message saying "There is No Data to Display". This report would be very useful as it is the only report that shows remaining hours on the summary version. Project reports overall are very confusing and this is the report that makes the most sense and is not working.

  11. There needs to be the option of including the sales tax lookup feature on repeating invoices. All of our subscription based monthly invoices are taxable in states where we have met the Nexus guidelines and therefore we will have to begin manually creating each invoice on a monthly basis which is extremely time consuming. It's hard to believe that this issue has not been raised before.

  12. For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.

    This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

    Hi Manesh, have you tried the new Account transactions report? When you run this report you'll be able to see how many items are in the report, noted in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

  14. When a client emails bills into Xero files, they often include a note saying APPROVED or POST TO DIRECT COSTS and even- PLEASE PAY TOMORROW. At the moment I have to open the email, take a copy, email it back into Xero files and then attach that to the bill along with the original bill. Can a copy of the email be automatically attached to the bill when it is processed from files? It would save a lot of time.

    The formula feature only appears to work for columns that are located to the left of the formula column.
    Each column has a name, surely the name is the important element and not the position of the column on the report.
    Can the formula feature be amended so that columns from anywhere in the report can be included

  16. I would like to be able to run a report on expense claims which shows who has approved them at a glance, like a payable invoice report . At the moment, you have to open each and every claim to see who has approved it.

  17. We are a small consultancy firm and we do work for customers for multiple sites. We set up our projects where each task is a separate site. We need to be able to search for these tasks but the search option only allows searching at a project level. Can you please update the functionality to be able to search based on task name?

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. We don’t have any plans in the near term to add passwords to payslips, but did you know you can invite employees to the employee portal Xero Me? Employees can securely view payslips, submit timesheets as well as request leave.
