    Hi Valerie, while not shown in the Bank header, you can run the Bank Reconciliation report which will show you the balance out by figure. If the Imported statement balance hasn't imported or doesn't match your actual bank statement ending balance, you can enter this yourself at the top of the report and update so Xero will show a calculated balance out by amount.

  3. Show the email subject line in Xero files.

    It's simple enough to forward emails with invoices to my xero mailbox, but I don't have control over the filename. It would be great if Xero can show the subject line. That way I could change the subject line when I forward the email. It would look like a note on the invoice in Xero Files.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing and supporting this idea. The file name shown in Xero Files is taken from the name on the attachments. As a workaround these could be renamed before the emails are forwarded to Xero or renamed from within Xero files. 

  4. I would like to be able to send statements using different email templates depending on how old the debts are. Smart lists seem to have the functionality to filter what I want but no option to send statements based on those lists.

    Hey community, thanks for sharing this idea.

    For those who aren't aware, within the Email Settings it is possible to create a number of different templates to reflect the wording you'd like to use, depending on the age of the debt. The Add email templates support article has detailed steps on how to do this 😊

    As mentioned, Smart Lists are a great way to filter your customers and can be used as a tool to identify the customers who should receive their statement with each template.

    However as you have found, it is currently not possible to send statements directly to the customers from the Smart List. We understand this is the main ask of this idea, so we'll continue to monitor the suggestion to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed.

  5. Send Statements, Outstanding, Select Date.

    We want to send statements to our clients for invoices that are 30 days overdue - so if I put in the 28th February 2022, Xero brings up a list of all overdue invoices as at that date however some of those invoices have been paid so if I send out the 'Activity Statement' its not a true record of the invoices outstanding.

    I would like Xero to change this so that you can either click on each invoice you want to send out ie the ones that haven't been paid or Xero only shows…

  6. Show the Total Payment of a Pay Run, on both the Pay Runs and individual Pay Run screen. As it is, you have to click Payroll > Pay Employees > Pay Run > Employee to see the Total Payment for that specific Pay Run. Far too many clicks to check what the total amount was that was posted to Wages Payable account (and paid from the bank account).

  7. Automatically opens a new window when preparing Draft invoice from Projects Screen. This means the project screen stays open to do your next invoice rather than having to navigate back after you have approved your invoice.

    Hi team, just having a little play in Projects - while it won't work for Deposit or Project Amount creation, if you're creating an invoice from a Project for Tasks & Expenses you'll be able to hold down 'ctrl' while clicking on this option and should find this opens the Tasks and expenses screen in a separate browser tab. 

    Totally get this doesn't resolve the idea here, but wanted to share for those it helps 🙂

  8. If the Total Tax amount per invoice was available for statements, then the Statement could be used as a periodic Tax Invoice.

  9. Setting up a clearing account in the chart of accounts.

    Hi everyone, appreciate your interest in a shared calendar for Payroll in NZ. With payroll products being worked on quite separately we have split this idea out from this one, so we can track the interest for this in each product and keep you updated.

    Being open this isn't something we have immediate plans for in NZ payroll, however we're keen to continue to track the interest and can keep you updated if there are any developments.

  11. Display the Credit Note/s applied to an invoice and payments made by date on a PDF document. Why is it that we can view these in the system but we cannot see this when printing invoices.
    It would be so helpful to have this for clients to view exactly what they have paid and exactly what credit notes have been applied to an invoice.

    If it is already on the systems for us to see, is it that hard to reflect this on the printed /emailed versions of invoices?

  12. AU There was a discrepancy between GST ac balance at EOQ on the Balance Sheet & the GST refund for the end of quarter BAS. Using the GST Reconciliation report would be a lot more helpful if the Filed Amounts could actually be saved and continuously show the correct unfiled running balance amount and the section "GST Account Summary " for unfiled GST was actually correct as a cumulative balance. I just did 3.5 years worth of GST Reconciliations and nothing saved so all the running balances are wrong and don't flow correctly from one year to the next -…

  13. Invoice Only User SHOULD have access to "send and print" feature once the Purchase Order were approved. To address this concern, a user should have an access level of Invoice Only + Purchases, however, changing the permission to this level, the inputs made by other users, which might be confidential and unnecessarily to be seen by others, are compromised. I would like to request to add this feature (send and print) for the Invoice Only users.

  14. Invoice reminders are currently "all or nothing". I dont want to chase my good clients with automated messages from Xero becuse it upsets them but I do want some of my clients to have auto reminders about invoices about to become due and invoices overdue, those who generally are bad payers. In the same way we have email and invoice templates can we have invoice reminder templates and when we raise an invoice be prompted to apply a reminder template (or not). Or can the template for reminders be part of the customer financial details, in the way we can…

    Hi all, we appreciate this feedback raised through a broader idea and would like to better understand the direct interest in this through this idea.

    With careful design and research around the placement of action buttons, there are no planned changes for moving the the 'File with IR' button.

    Hi community, this idea has been created from feedback in this initial idea. While we are interested to get a better pulse on the interest in this, we want to front foot that we don't have any plans for this change.

    Switching from landscape to portrait was made based on a lot of feedback and testing, so we'd want to see a fair amount of support through the idea here to consider making another change.

  18. Ability to export the GST return with the layout as customised on the screen. For example if columns have been hidden these are not shown in the exported file.

    Hi everyone, this idea has been created from feedback on this initial idea. We understand why you'd like your exported return to appear with the same columns hidden and would like to get a better view of the overall community interest in this from the idea here.

    While we don't have immediate plans, we will keep an eye on this here and share if there are any updates.

  19. For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

  20. In the Bills section under- New Bill and Upload Bill you cannot currently drag and drop the file from an email into the box. You either have to email or download the file would be time saving if you could just drag and drop straight from email into the new bill box.
