  1. Hi Xero.
    Currently, User's with Invoice Only Access can only approve invoices and bills. However they are unable to remove a payment (or part thereof) from an invoice.

    This is a problem if the User accepts a payment, then realises that there is an error on the invoice, as they are then unable to remove the amount and fix the invoice.
    It would be great if these User's could have this ability without having access to the business bank accounts

  2. When I prepare Financial Statements, I copy and edit a published set of Financial Statements from the previous year. But it is annoying that in the now draft Financial Statements, the date in the Compilation Report does not refresh to current date. So I either manually edit the date or add a Comp Report from My Xero. Either way is a pain. Any better ideas?

  3. I would like to put fixed asset categories (plant and machinery, motor vehicles etc) as the columns, and have Cost, Depreciation, NBV - bfwds and cfwds etc in the rows underneath. See attached.

    As far as I was aware it was standard to have the fixed asset note in this format so was surprised this was not already a functionality,

  4. To assist organisations to be able to carbon offset km travelled, we should be able to pull a report from Expense Claims in an Excel format so we can add the amount of miles/km travelled to figure out travel footprint.

  5. The upgraded Quotes layout does not allow me to attach pdf's from the Files Section.
    The only way to do this now is to download pdf from Files. Open Quote and Save it. Upload pdf.

    This has significantly slowed down the workflow - please can Xero Quotes be able to add attachemnts from Files and before Saving.

  7. Need a process to close month end. After this process has been executed the month is locked and changes are not posted to it unless we unlock it first. This feature is available in other accounting packages

  8. Can we have one more category of user role in Xero (A user role with Ability for only to create all possible drafts + View reports)?

    This kind of user role can help to minimise recording errors when any transaction (Quotation, Invoice, Bill, expenses, transfer, receive and spend money) can have two steps approval. It can provide more verification flexibility /security for the business which managed by more than one person as well.

    View reports can help the initiator to check the effect of the transaction after approval.

  9. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

  11. why can't we set up income allocations by %, not jnl , as every time you change something , you need to redo your jnl, update work papers etc. There must times when finals have been sent out ( Urgent) and this has been over looked
    This is a rather backwards step, esp when a trust could have 10 beneficiaries and need to do jnls ?!
    Would also affect partnerships, they would be the easiest to fix as majority would be a 50/50

  13. We reconcile monthly sales with an internal ordering/salesprocessing system. This is good for checking to see if invoices have been missed and also to make sure that the net sales are the same in Xero too (another fail safe check). There needs to be a sales report that is easy to run off on a monthly basis showing net figures. Currently I have to run a couple of reports off - identify prepayments and delete them in the excel version, then add another column to work out net value. The latter is not always easy as some of our goods…

  14. Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

  15. Projects>Time entries
    Currently only one view, in order of entry.
    We enter start and end times for tasks.
    Would prefer to have the ability to sort the time entries page by time started. That way a user can more readily identify parts of their day not yet entered.

  16. It would be so helpful to have a YTD column in the account transactions report. I run this report monthly for certain sales accounts to give to our marketing department and need the monthly amount and also the year to date amount however this report only allows me to show the period selected. This means I have to run 2 reports, one showing the monthly account transaction total and then one showing the year to date account transaction totals which I then combine in excel. Would also be good if there was a comparison to budget column.

  17. Sales Tax Audit report is produced only on the organization's base currency.

    To be able to produce the Sales Tax Audit report in other currencies as well.

    Reason: to be able to extract the report for organisations registered in countries of which currency is other than the Company's base (if also required for the authorities.)

  18. Could we please have a flag for a terminated employee who has been paid in an unscheduled pay run (but included in the current pay run).
    Xero continues to create a standard pay for the terminated employee despite the employee having been terminated.
    If the employee was flagged as having been terminated it would prompt the processor to check and potentially eliminate the risk of overpayment.

    Thanks for raising the idea, team. 

    Right now, we don't have plans for developing the ability to edit Credit Notes within the mobile Accounting app which is where functions like adding files would come in, too. 

    It's good to begin tracking the interest of this here, but want to be upfront with this atm. 

  20. Turn off rounding in payroll deductions and superannuation in Pay Template. Is it possible to turn off rounding for payroll deductions in pay templates, as we have defined benefit member salary sacrifice percentage rates that are more than two decimals and Xero automatically rounds down or up which creates the designated ATO rate lower or higher than specified. Also payroll deduction amounts for Novated Leasing for pre and post tax amounts are rounding down or up to an amount which then we will have to create a journal later to fix the incorrect amount being direct debited from our bank…
