New Invoicing - Show stock level when adding a Tracked inventory item
When typing a quote, available stock used to show (when you typed a figure in the "quantity" field (if available stock was less than required the open window would turn red) but it doesn't now. It would be great if this feature were also added to invoices (and quotations as before) so that one didn't need to check stock on a different page for each item being invoiced. I note that it shows when typing a credit note, so it must be possible!
Hi team, thanks for your contribution and sharing with us on your use of being able to see levels of stock when invoicing. Right now, our team are developing improvements to the line item grid in new invoicing, where you enter detail of your invoices. This work also involves providing visibility of your tracked inventory stock on hand so you know how many items you have to sell.
For now we'll move to working on it and I'll keep you updated of when this is released in new invoicing.

Stock is a natural part of most business. If Xero is trying to get us to use another outside "App" and charge. I will just move to another software that can provide it all in one. I'm over the " additional" features.

it is extremely important to check the stock/inventory level

Apart from packing slip this new invoicing is terrible.. THIS not showing stock on hand is an absolute essential element ot invoicing.. especially since you can just quit doing an invoice as it auto saves and causes you to then have to delete an invoice leaving holes in your invoice numbering... Why cant we also nominate our action buttons - the amount of times i have accidentaly approved and emailed when I dont want to is ridiculous!

If the Qty available feature is not included on the new invoice format I will probably have to change to Sage, Quick books or someone who does provide this service.
It would be crazy to take such a regressive step. We have 100's of lines I can not manually cross-reference with a stock file. -

It would get great if xero could work on improving inventory - when I quote or invoice it is great with old invoicing to keep an eye on stock level

On the classic invoicing system this same feature was also present (when stock was not available, it alerted you in red and showed how much actual existing stock was available). This feature is not yet available on the new improved invoicing system, I would like to see this feature added once more.

New invoicing is useless without showing the quantity on hand of a product. It's such an important feature so that we can suggest alternatives if we are out of stock of a particular item. Please add this in to the new invoicing before you get rid of the classic version. Nobody from Xero seems to be replying to similar comments.

This is essential for stock management and makes using Xero stock feature much less attractive.
Please leave the old invoicing until this feature is updated on the new invoicing.
Why are you getting rid of old invoicing?
Please can someone at Xero respond to this, not everyone will be using stock control on Xero so may not have a large number of votes but those that do will be using this feature all the time when invoicing. -

This feature is an absolute must and has to be updated by Xero. Cannot understand why they are switching off the Classic invoicing and have not carried over this feature.
Please explain as this makes it impossible for us to do invoices efficiently and wastes an enormous amount of time. -

The old invoicing showed stock levels when you did the invoice, the new one does not which makes it useless to use. You need to not take away something that I assume alot of people use. Please fix
Thanks

This feature is important to our business also. It's time consuming, often when a customer is standing there, trying to fix the stock levels, to produce their Tax Invoice. Please bring this feature back.

Hi Team Xero,
I am going to hold off switching to the new style of invoice, in the hope that the stock level features on the classic invoicing is carried over. The feature I am talking about is the black pop up telling you the inventory level, and the red pop up if that item is out of stock. These features are key - particularly with some staff not having access to the Business Tab and Products and Services to check stock.
I note the stock levels are still available on the App when creating new invoices.

I too was very disappointed when the available stock feature was removed when switching to the new invoicing. This is absolutely critical for our business and saved a lot of time and headaches. I desperately need this feature back please!

I was very disappointed when the available stock feature was removed when Xero switched to new invoicing. Seeing the available stock was a very useful tool and I would like to see this back.

Now that "Classic Invoicing" is being switched off, the inclusion of this feature on the new invoicing screen is even more important.
Please advise!
(I note that Xero have not made ANY comments thus far......) -

Please put available stock into the new invoicing option. This will save a lot of time when creating a new invoice.
It was an extremely useful feature and something that definitely should have been carried over with the new invoicing. -

Show stock level on new invoicing. Have to open another tab to check stock when issuing invoice. Otherwise, have to revert to classic invoicing to issue invoices for tracked inventory. Waste of time.

Jonathan Davies commented
Please put the available stock back in to save switching to classic for each invoice. Its a major hassle.

When a draft invoice has a stock item selected as a line item, and that item has quantity tracked, you should show the current Stock On Hand quantity (perhaps in a pop-up bubble) either when it is selected, or when the quantity is entered on the draft invoice so that you know in advance if you have enough of that item in Xero.
At the moment, there is no indication and when the invoice is approved it simply reverts to draft WITHOUT advising WHY. If there are 10 line items EACH ONE needs to be checked until the culprit is found which is frustrating and time-wasting. -

SHOW INVENTORY ON HAND - On classic invoicing format, the inventory on hand shows when I click on 'Quantity' field. On the new invoicing format, it will not show the inventory on hand when I click 'Quantity' field. Yet when doing a Quote, it shows the inventory on hand.
