Zendesk Time Tracking Integration
I would love to see an integration with Zendesk to track time spent on tickets to be invoiced in Xero. I know this can by done with WorkflowMax but I don't want yet another app to deal with, it would be great to have this directly in Xero.
1 voteHI Christopher, Xero offers the ability for interested parties to build an integration with Xero, however OI want to be open that we don't regularly design an build integration with other applications ourselves.
You're welcome to share this link to our Developer Community with Zendesk support in case this is something they'd be interested in looking into.

Repeating bills - Due date options to include 'working days' not just 'calendar days'
I have a repeating bill that is set up with the due date 14 days after invoice date. This is fine except the date calculated is 14 calendar days and the bill is actually due after 14 working days. Is it possible to have an option that allows for working days rather than calendar days?

Branding - Improve logo size and resolution on transactions
Ability to add bigger better quality logo's at the top of the body of invoices sent as emails.
132 px x 37 px ends up so tiny and always blury (I have tried all formats but some sort of extra compression is going on in the backend. Don't look so good for us graphic designers ;-)ps: screen shot attached so you can see where I mean, designscope logo always blury :-(
59 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to display logos as you need. There are a few different situations mentioned in feedback here and we want to explain and help clarify how logos are shown when using Xero.
The first is how your organisations logo is shown within the invoice email sent to your customer. This is taken from the organisation settings page. There was a period that impacted some customers where the logo quality was being reduced when sending with new invoicing. Taking on board feedback our team implemented a change in new invoicing so this should now be appearing correctly - If you’re finding your logo quality is not showing correctly in the invoice email please do raise a case with our team and they can investigate more on this with you individually.
The second place the logo is shown is on the PDF of the invoice that is sent to your customers and is represented in the idea that has been shared here - Currently there are limitations to the dimensions of a logo that can be shown on your invoices sent from Xero. For a standard invoice template maximum dimensions for a logo are 400px wide and 120px high. You can use advanced invoice templates to add a logo of a specific size.
We're currently focused on improvements within new invoicing, however in time we will look at possible improvements to invoice templates. While there are no plans atm, I will keep you updated of any news surrounding this here.

Login page - Redirect to ReturnUrl if already logged in
Redirect to the ReturnUrl on the login page if you refresh and have already logged back in, eg. from another tab.
Context: I usually have many Xero tabs open. If I am logged out due to session timeout, all of these tabs redirect to the login page with a ReturnUrl in the query string. If I log in on one of those login pages, I am correctly returned to where I was in that tab. If I refresh another one of the tabs after logging in, it stays on the login page rather than automatically redirecting to the ReturnUrl.
It appears the only solution currently is to re-log in to each of the tabs even though I'm already logged in. Otherwise I lose my place in all of those tabs.

VAT Reconciliation Report - Auto-populate and drill down into figures
An updated, functional VAT reconciliation report.
The existing VAT reconciliation report isn't particularly useful. It has to be populated manually and the figures that do populate automatically can't be drilled down into. Not helpful.
VAT reconciliation aren't really a problem for us as we can use the Detailed Account Transactions report to identify the transactions posted directly to the VAT account i.e. transactions that have a category of VAT, whether it be a VAT payment, VAT on imports or just simply a miscoding by the client. Essentially it highlights those transactions that will affect the VAT ledger balance but won't necessarily appear on a VAT return.
However, the Detailed Account Transactions report is being retired in July and I fear we'll have no way of identifying these transactions. I've contacted Xero support and they weren't aware of the report being used in this way and don't currently have plans to replace this report.
I feel there are 3 options here:
Don't retire a functional report,
Retire a functional report but replace it with a new version, or,
Create a functional VAT reconciliation report that highlights the differences between the VAT ledger balance and total VAT returns less total payments. An updated, functional VAT reconciliation report.

Reporting | Budget Manager - Customise report layout
Ability to customise a budget manager layout.
Purpose: To make users able to get their preferred figures appear in the budget manager report.
209 votesHi community, thanks for your support and engagement on this idea. We acknowledge your desire for enhancements in how you can Budget and forecast reporting within Xero, and being able to mirror custom Profit & Loss report layouts you've created.
While we understand the needs expressed by you here, we want to be open that we don't have immediate plans for developing this tool.
We're continuing to look ahead and assess the base needs of our customers when it comes to budgeting and working in Xero and will keep you updated of any upcoming developments that could support in your needs here. Thanks for your continued feedback and support through Xero Product ideas.

History & Notes - View deleted bank rules
My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.
We need this for compliance purposes and the safety of our data purposes.3 votes -
Sales Invoice | Discount - Ability to set account (not impact line Account)
Discounts - the ability for the discounts in sales to be allocated to an expense account rather than distorting sales figures. At the moment each line item has the cost of the item then applies say 10% discount equals net which then is allocated to the sales account. I would like the option to allocate discounts to an expense called discounts given so that we can track and show the correct sales figures. By distorting sales figures you could be affecting calculations like WET. other programs allows you to setup discounts given & taken and freight even.

Bank Feeds - Get daily feeds for weekends and public holidays
Daily Bank feeds from all banks to Xero for the weekends & public holidays now that transactions are done then and it puts our bank rec out.
8 votesHey everyone, thanks for for letting us know that this is important to you. We agree that having an up-to-the-minute view of your bank transactions, every day of the week, helps make managing your finances so much easier.
The great news is that many banks already offer daily feeds that include weekends and public holidays. Since each bank determines the frequency of their feeds, the availability of this can vary.
If you’re with a bank that doesn’t currently send transactions every day, we encourage you to also reach out to them directly to request this from them specifically, and this will help them to inform demand for this.
We’ll keep this idea open for votes and comments to track the demand for this idea in general, and let you know if there are any updates here.

Contacts - Sort by Contact account number
Sort 'customer or supplier' list by account number from the drop down menu, (not the same as the search function).
The account number field is a unique identifier to any customer or supplier record. Having this function should be a necessity as it is with most other software.
In many cases the account number field is overlooked in Xero from the users point of view, yet it underpins the whole database for many people and connecting software/apps.
In the same vein, the 'date added' drop down, which could be argued as being able to achieve a similar result, in my experience does not return a true result.Sort 'customer or supplier' list by account number from the drop down menu, (not the same as the search function).

Reports - display currency symbol
Why doesn't Xero display the currency symbol (like a $) in any of the financial reports like Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.? We get only the plain numbers without knowing they are in U.S. dollars (in my case) and make these basic financial reports harder than necessary to read.

Batch Payment Report with Totals By Supplier
A report that shows the total paying a supplier in a payment batch, currently we can only produce a Batch report that has individual invoices and a total over all but no total by supplier.
Optional to have supplier bank details paying to would also be great

AU Payroll - Provisions for Annual and Long Service Leave
We need to know how much to provide for on the balance sheet for annual leave and long service leave each month and track these for our financial statements. All the information is available via Xero payroll (leave balances and pay rates for each employee as well as leave accrued and leave taken) but in order to account for this correctly we are expected to export reports and do the calculations ourselves. And we need to maintain external files to reconcile this to each month.
If Xero is offering a payroll and leave tracking function it should ensure the accounting entries for that function are captured correctly. This includes leave expenses and leave provisions / accruals.

Organisation Settings - Allow seperate branch codes for STP and TPAR
Xero provides for only one ATO Branch code to be recorded for an organisation in Settings / Organisation details. Also, Xero does not require a branch code to be recorded for Single Touch Payroll (STP) which would be resulting in a number of cases where the ATO is contacting clients and practitioners regarding incorrect branch codes for STP and requiring correction of STP filings which is time consuming and complex.
Some businesses have different branch codes for different ATO reporting obligations. For example, a business may have a branch number of 001 for Single Touch Payroll but 003 for Taxable Payments Annual Report. I recommend Xero:
- Provide organisations with the ability to record different ATO branch codes for different reporting obligations
- Make it mandatory for STP branch code to be entered when setting up STP

Purchase Orders - Don't clear Delivery Instructions field when changing Delivery Address
I sometimes(Often) do not understand Xero's Developers Logic...
Purchase Order - Instructions Field. Can someone explain me why, If I change the "Delivery Address", the form automatically clears the Instruction field we just typed?
I first assumed that it was because I can attach specific instructions for a Delivery address... But I search high and low and I could not find such feature.
Xero, Please BE CONSISTENT.
If there is nothing to fill that Field, Do not erase it just to irritate us.
Better: Add an Instruction field to Contact delivery address. And fill the Purchase order Instruction Field automatically. This would allow us to make sure we are consistent for our customers with comments like: "Truck Lift Gate required." or specific Delivery hours for some vendors...

Payroll UK - Support for Plan 1 and Plan 2 student loans concurrently
Payroll UK Student Loans
Some employees can have Plan 1 and 2 at the same time. At present Xero payroll can only deal with 1 plan. The option should exist for an employee to select more than 1 Plan and the correct deductions be made.
This is how repayments are allocated between Plan 1 and Plan 2 loans
For the 2023/24 tax year the repayment thresholds are as follows:
• Plan 1 loans: £22,015
• Plan 2 loans: £27,295
If you earn below £22,015 you will make no loan repayments.
If you earn between £22,015 and £27,295 you will make Plan 1 loan repayments only.
If you earn over £27,295 you will make repayments which will be spread across both your Plan 1 and Plan 2 loans. This means that repayments calculated on income between £22,015 and £27,295 will be allocated against your Plan 1 loan and repayments calculated on your income above £27,295 will be allocated against your Plan 2 loan. It's important that Xero Payroll can deal with this scenario.

Reports - Supplier/customer ledgers showing exact credit/debits
I find it unacceptable that Xero cannot give a report with the exact debits and credits on the supplier / customer account without showing how the allocation was done. If there are 2 invoices of a 1000 and 1 payment was made of 2000 - I want to see it exactly like that on the report and not 1000 allocated to the first invoice and 1000 allocated to the second invoice. This is standard in Pastel.

User - Bank feed refresh for read only users
We have bureau licences with read only access for clients - however when the bank feed drops they are unable to refresh without upgrading. As they have no other involvement it does not make sense for them to have upgraded access - can we allow them to do this on a slightly improved access level please?

Bank Rules - Add condition for transaction type
Bank Rules - Add condition for Transaction Type (and other Statement Details)
Sometimes loan payments only come through with the loan number as the payee, but the transaction is for Interest only. I want to be able to set up a bank rule based on the "Transaction Type" coming through in the bank feed so that Interest and Principal payments can be coded directly to the correct codes. Most banks have these details in one of "Payee", "Description", or "Reference". ANZ bank does not, there may be other banks that are similar.
I have tried to add criteria for this in "Any text field", but it does not work.

AU Payroll - Type and search in the Employee filter
The current screen and filters for Xero timesheet is not user-friendly. In particular, firstly, it would be great if the Employee Name filter allowed you to type and search. Secondly, if the Employee Name filter could include multiple names that would be useful.
Lastly, not in the filters, but the tick boxes for each timesheet - if the tick box was bigger and next to the line, instead of in the timesheet line this would help. The way it is at the moment, it is too easy to accidentally go into a timesheet instead of ticking it to select for bulk approval. The current screen and filters for Xero timesheet is not user-friendly. It helps to have each idea separate so others know what they're adding their vote for and we can share the demand of each back with our product teams. I've slightly amended the title of your idea here to fit your first idea.
In terms of employee selections this is actually already possible - From the timesheets filter just click on the names on the employees you'd like to filter timesheets for.
We don't appear to have an existing idea for your 3rd point, but welcome to start a new idea so we can begin to track interest of this, too.
