    Thanks for your support here, everyone. Appreciate there is some interest in this from people emailing bills to their organisation, or importing via a 3rd party application. 

    We wanted to share a recent change we've made for those using eInvoicing - invoices received via Xero's eInvoicing will apply Contact defaults (such as a set default 'Purchase account) when creating the invoice in Xero. 😁

  3. When approving timesheets it would be ideal to have separate lines underneath Ordinary Hours with Leave requested, on which days and hour amounts and to be able to approve there instead of having to go to a different screen.

    Can be hard to double check and remember correct days the leave was taken and also to ensure daily and weekly hours are met.

  4. Recently found out that draft invoices are assigned a number once created, even if they are eventually not approved and deleted.
    For accounting reasons in Spain, the numbering on all invoices presented has to be consecutive and the fact that draft invoices are assigned a number from the same sequence causes a problem. So basically if a draft invoice ends up being deleted, then when presenting the invoice list to the tax authorities, there is a number missing, which could cause a problem.

  6. Ability to reject a Draft Supplier Invoice and send a email to the supplier with why their Invoice was rejected.

    To often, I receive invoices from Suppliers of whom have forgotten Purchase Order details or have missing information.

    There is obviously the option to Approve an Invoice, nut nothing to reject.
    I would like a function where I can Reject an Supplier Invoice and respond to the Supplier with why Invoice was rejected and this information is stored against the supplier and shown as a note on the Supplier History or.

  7. REQUESTING LEAVE
    Firstly, when an employee is submitting a leave application, they are unable to adjust the number of hours they are taking when submitting this leave when the leave period is for more than one day. This is problematic for part-time employees that may work different hours on different days of their working week.

    Also, employees used to be able to see the number of hours taken but this is no longer the case - why is this?

    Hi everyone, appreciate we haven't engaged directly in this idea sooner and reading through the detail of the original post here we do want to break this down a little to provide more clarity.

    It's correct that currently it's not possible to enter a number of hours leave if the request spans more than a day. We have another idea that's gathering support around this and we'd urge those interested in this to join.

    Similarly, we have another idea based around the permission to approve or decline leave request and provide read-only access to Payroll reports that you can support, here.

    Understanding the importance around being able to see history of events in payroll, you may have noticed we've rolled out payroll history to the employee record-level and most recently you can now see a history of user activity in the Organisation, Calendars, Pay Items, Superannuation & STP Settings…

  8. An option to add a column (Received by) to PO menu.
    This will display that an order was received form the menu rather than clicking in to each individual PO to fond out.

  9. When raising client invoices, it would be good to be able to submit the invoice to a Manager for approval.
    When processing supplier bills, it would be good to be able to submit the bill to a Manager for approval of payment of that expense.
    In both cases, this would mean that approval details of "who" and "when" would be noted in the History of the invoice/bill without needing to attach a file showing the approval or tracking this outside of the system.

  10. The most important information in the statement line is usually at the end of it, the bit that is always hidden. I've been asking for this since 2019. Its a bit frustrating to see that the statement lines in the Reconciliation tab are now showing some kind of machine-generated guess about what the purchase is, when people have been asking for ages for the full statement line to be shown. Can anyone explain why Xero is so reluctant to do this simple thing?

  11. Our business is growing, and now we employ over 60 employees. Is it possible to have more than 50 employees listed on one page for payroll processing?
    It looks like '50' is the maximum of line items in the drop-down menue, and I have to go the the second page in order to approve all employees for the payroll.

  14. It would be really useful if Bills autosaved to Drafts - as happens when you enter an Invoice. Because Invoices are autosaved, you are in that mindset and can often forget that you have to click Save or Approve for a Bill to be logged.

In the same way that we have 'Approve & View Next' for invoices in the draft and awaiting approval sections, it would be useful to have a 'Skip to Next' function in the event that you are missing information or unable to approve at that time. This would certainly save several clicks and make the process more fluid.

    Hi team! Our new quick view feature in bills allows you to simply view your bill and it's details without having to leave the list view.

    Move from one bill to the next using the arrow options and once you've reviewed make bulk actions by selecting multiple bills and using the list bulk action options like Batch pay, Approve, Add planned date, Print or Void 🥳

  16. The Xero App currently does not allow you to manually edit the tax amount on bills, and therefore in turn means you cannot approve bills with any tax adjustments made via the App.

    I'd like for this to become a feature to save any approvers having to log into Xero in another way just to approve a bill.

  17. I need to be able to approve super when I am travelling and do not have access to text messages. It is most inflexible that there is only one method for doing this! Can the Xero Verify App not be used for auto super approvals too? Then I only need wifi.

  18. Why do we now have to approve supplier invoices once entered in Xero?

    There has obviously been an update to change this. How do we revert back to once a supplier invoice has been entered it shows straight away under awaiting payment?

    This may depend on how you enter bills in your org and their set up. 

    Manually entering, there has been no direct change to behaviour and you should see options at the bottom of the create bill screen where you can Save (which will save as Draft) or Approve. 

    Hubdoc has options that can be selected to determine the status a bill is published from Hubdoc to Xero with, whereas both email to bills and eInvoicing have always generated Draft bills that require manual approval.

  19. When checking information on the inventory screen it would be extremely helpful if you could click on the 'In committed quotes' or 'Quantity on order' to see the customer or supplier to which they are assigned. Sometimes I need to chase a supplier for parts but have to waste time trawling through the purchase orders to track down who they have been order from. Likewise it would save time to be able to go straight to the customer quoted once an item has been received.

  20. When you mark a PO as billed and copy to a draft bill the files attached to the PO don't remain with it and attach to the draft bill. Very annoying that you have to re-save the file and re-attach it to the bill
