  1. Being able to filter on the Short-Term Cash flow would be very helpful. For example, if I create an invoice but haven't sent it yet, it's included in the projected income, but if I can tell the report to only show invoices that have been "Sent" it would only include invoices that have actually been sent to the client.

  2. Xero needs to include the field indicators on their printed cheques like all the other Canadian compliant software companies.

    Right now Xero directs Canadians to have their printer include the field indicators on the preprinted stock, but this makes alignment very difficult and most printers won’t. Even the companies that they suggest to provide the stock do not include it.

  3. Why can't you open a document , press share and the doucment filed into Hubdoc in the same way you can with Xero Files where want to push into Hubdoc initially?

    Also you can seem to add PDF file types (that are not photos taken previously and stored in your phone gallery) with or without downloading the PDF document onto your device first - why is that?

    Is Hubdoc a proper document storage facility?

  4. For Ledger only clients, who dont need or use the dashboard, there should be an option on the dashboard edit to identify the client as a "Ledger Only Client".

  5. We need to deposit > 50 transactions on a daily basis. We can't marry up our remittances to our deposits recorded in Xero when done in multiple parts. It's messy and not workable for large volume businesses.

  6. Exchange Rate - Allow more than 6 decimal places.

    For conversions from smaller currencies (e.g. 1 KRW = 0.00071 USD), users need the ability to place more than 6 decimal places in order to get the exact currency conversion for the transaction. QuickBooks allows this so I don't see why Xero can't implement it as well.

    Xero Central suggested that I make adjustment entries in my Realised Currency Gains account and I find it ridiculous to have to do it than just being allowed to input exact numbers in my original transactions.

  7. Currently, when creating an invoice, the payment terms dropdown gives you the following options:
    - Today
    - 7 days
    - 14 days
    - EOM +1
    - EOM +20
    - end of next month
    I would like to customise this list; the Australian government has recently brought in payment standards of 5 days if sent by e-invoice and 20 days if not, for all invoices sent to all non-corporate Commonwealth entities (including Defence) and neither of those are amongst the standard options.   10. For smaller companies, it would be helpful to have the option to receive a notification by email or text when there are bank transactions to be reconciled.
    In larger companies, it's a daily routine to do the bank rec of course but not so in smaller companies so a notification would be very handy!

  11. I have multiple 2018 bills to pay generated from the US Xero Payroll feature that I can not delete nor apply credit memos to. Those were always "locked" bills. I've been trying to void or zero out these bills for years and apparently, there is no way to actually do this. I've spent hours with customer support to no avail. Please put something in place to allow users/me to accomplish this task. My AP bills are messy and my cash basis balance sheet is messy.   12. Xero should automatically recognise a Xero client account number in any bank transfer and allocate those funds to existing invoices in that client's account. This should either just occur automatically when a client payment matches the total on their statement, or alternatively, any payment should simply be allocated to the client's oldest invoices.

    Currently, when customers pay us for invoices that we have sent them, we search for their name in the “Match” function during the bank feed reconciliation. We then select the invoice(s) that match each payment and reconcile these.

  14. Currently, when super payments bounce, Xero sends us an email letting us know that a payment to a particular super fund from a particular payment batch has failed. Once we've identified whose it was, and got the updated details, we then have to contact Xero to get a re-processing authorised.

    All of this takes time, during which the Directors of my clients may become liable for late super payments. I'd like a button to click to speed up at least the contacting Xero for re-processing bit - preferably as part of the process identify the refund received and connect the…

    Firstly, when an employee is submitting a leave application, they are unable to adjust the number of hours they are taking when submitting this leave when the leave period is for more than one day. This is problematic for part-time employees that may work different hours on different days of their working week.

    Also, employees used to be able to see the number of hours taken but this is no longer the case - why is this?

    Hi everyone, appreciate we haven't engaged directly in this idea sooner and reading through the detail of the original post here we do want to break this down a little to provide more clarity.

    It's correct that currently it's not possible to enter a number of hours leave if the request spans more than a day. We have another idea that's gathering support around this and we'd urge those interested in this to join.

    Similarly, we have another idea based around the permission to approve or decline leave request and provide read-only access to Payroll reports that you can support, here.

    Understanding the importance around being able to see history of events in payroll, you may have noticed we've rolled out payroll history to the employee record-level and most recently you can now see a history of user activity in the Organisation, Calendars, Pay Items, Superannuation & STP Settings…

  16. A great new function in xero would be to copy several invoices to another client without merging them together. So that direct debits can be taken of varying amounts each month.

  18. Can we please add a budget column to the statement of cash flows report. I find this report (once customised to reveal all account codes) very useful for showcasing cash received vs spend on taxes, assets, liabilities and business expenses. To be able to set a budget in the budget manager for cash flow will save hours preparing manual cash flow forecasts outside of xero.

  19. Set a bank rule that only autofills the contact name - Often the same contact is used for sales or purchases to different accounts. Currently bank rules force you to choose an account. I'd like to set the contact automatically with the bank rule, then choose the account during reconciliation. Saves me typing the contact each time.

  20. The contact details / help required for Xero NOT our contact details should be on the first page. It should not be up to us the client to have to read through various lists of things. We should have the ability to immediately send an e-mail or in some circumstances be able to speak with a human being straight away.
    A lot of times a two minute phone call will sort something out that takes several e-mails back and forth and this means a lot of wasted time.
