  1. Xero Me app no longer allows entry of allowances. Previously employees have had ability to enter their hours and any allowances attached on their templates but apparently since the change to STP2 they have stopped this ability which is crazy. Seems to be no point in using Xerome.

    Seeing we have just spent hours ensuring our clients have mapped the allowances correctly to STP2 categories not sure why this has been removed. Pls vote to have returned.

  2. In the Business Snapshot all of the comparatives are to previous year. In a startup this isn't meaningful as prior year balances are nil, but month-to-month or quarter-to-quarter comparatives would be super useful. In established businesses also, monthly and quarterly comparatives can be very useful.

  3. Could you increase the size of the email statements UI - ie the dialogue box that opens when you email statements or activity and you can revise the template.
    The font is tiny and the window is also tiny.
    Or allow a zoom, or to enlarge the dialogue box.
    I've made embarrassing typos....

  4. Bills - Highlight the “Planned date” (in red or bold) as you select the date.
    This would assist greatly when batching weekly and monthly payment batches and working alphabetically.
    The Bills screen is very busy.

  5. Create timesheet availability to Contractors set up in Xero payroll as Non employee.
    Currently this is only available to employees.

    Require the ability to process timesheets to pay Subcontractors for hours worked on site so Super is taken into account but PAYG is not applicable.
    Currently not available to STP2 category Contractor 'Non Employees'

  6. On the taskbar, it would be useful to have a dropdown option to link through to the last few pages that you have accessed. Maybe the last 10 pages accessed would be good, a mixture of recent searches and recent transactions. I know QBO has this and I use it a lot for navigating.

    For example, when I run a P&L and drill down to a specific bill, sometimes I would make an amendment to said bill. When I save and go back it spits me out at the CoA when I want to return to the P&L. So instead…

SUPER NON Regulated Super Fund Set Up - There are many Non Regulated Super funds out there and Xero only provides a list of Regulated Super Fund name to choose/ set up under payroll settings so when an employee has a NON Regulated Super Fund you can not set up or choose in the Employee card. The current work around is to Choose another Super Fund name (fraught with danger) in the Employee card then make manual payments. Making manual payments is not an issue however, choosing another Super fund name that is not correct is not an appropriate work…

  8. Customer Name / Customer Account number - To import invoices the main criteria for the import file is the customer's name. We work with properties where the owner details change on a regular basis and we use the account number (which is also the erf number) to process invoices. Can a it be changed to give users the option to either use the account number or name as the main criteria for the import file instead of just using the account name.

  9. Subtotals for Balance Sheet Items
    At the moment I can only get subtotals on the balance sheet by using the grouping function. Rather than doing this it would be great to subtotal certain parts of the Balance Sheet without creating multiple group headings. eg Fixed Asset accounts & the accumulated depreciation for each asset.

  12. Add a function to allocate transactions in an account against each other so you can easily identify which transactions are making up the balance (e.g. in a PAYE you would allocate the payment to HMRC against the payroll journal).

  13. My small business client came up the idea that when we download the aba file for our payroll, it would be great to have the option to pay total PAYGW & super liabilities into a nominated bank account.
    This sets aside the money ready for the BAS'es, IAS'es and super.

  15. When uploading a 20% vat rate expense via the Xero Expense App please allow for the VAT box to be overwritten if required. This is an issue when the Xero rounding is different to that on the receipt, usually by 1p.

While our primary business banking account transactions import automatically via a bank feed, the process of importing the transactions from our payment processors/gateways into their respective bank accounts in Xero are manual and add many hours of admin - there is already some integration with these gateways to support payments and this could be extended to include transactions flowing into Xero.

  17. One of the most irritating features when using the Aged Receivables Detail report for Credit Control purposes (downloading to Excel and pasting into an email) is that when selecting the Date Range under Aging periods and the Invoice Date under Aging By, it continuously defaults back to the first option.

    Kindly allow the setting of a default to prevent the system from continuously defaulting back to the system setting.

  18. Previously, in old "Customer Invoice Report" there was a feature under "Dates" where we could select "ANY" which allowed Invoices created outside of your selected date range to be included in your report.
    This seems to be no longer available in the new "Receivable Invoice Report" and any invoices created outside of your selected date range (but paid within that date range) won't show up on the report.
    You can expand your date range but this has potential to re-list paid invoices from previous reports.
    Can "ANY' be added as an option to Dates as it was in previous version?

  20. The sales tax lookup tool is really nice to have on invoices. That function should be added to quotes. When I'm trying to quote a customer, that isn't an option (sales tax lookup). I have to select a pre-saved tax rate. Seems like it would be easy to add that.
