  1. Repeating Monthly Invoices:

    Can we have a feature where monthly invoices have the ability to automatically calculate the days in that month based on the date in the "next invoice date". Therefore it doesn't need to be manually changed. Eg Monthly repeating invoice. next Invoice date - 1 November 2024. Qty - 30

  2. Bills - Highlight the “Planned date” (in red or bold) as you select the date.
    This would assist greatly when batching weekly and monthly payment batches and working alphabetically.

  3. The new feature sets the discount column to numeric value by standard. My business uses % and it's incredibly tedious having to type % each time. We can do 10-20 quotes a day with an average of 30 products per quote. So a feature that would allow us to click a button to default to percentage, so when you type a number the % appears (like in old Xero).

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest his idea has received. Introducing the ability to add a discount amount was highly requested by our community. We recognise for customers that discount by % this means you'll need to enter a % symbol where y ou wouldn't have done so before.

    With quite a few items drawing our teams attention at present we want to be upfront that developing a default option for discounts isn't in the pipeline atm. This is something we'll keep reviewing and consider as a future improvement in this space. If there is any change or progress around this I'll let you know on the idea, here.

  4. I think the invoice customisation in Xero needs a major overhaul. Many of my clients have spent considerable amounts on graphic design, but the customisation process (downloading a Word doc, editing, and uploading) is a nightmare. The standard Xero invoices are really dated (such as the Mastercard or Visa logos, the payment slip footer, font choices etc), which means the better option is to upload a customised invoice. The problem I have is that most of the fonts I've tried seem to be unavailable once uploaded to Xero, with most reverting to Times New Roman, and that's an issue…

Previously in the old format Aged Payable Summary and Detail reports you could run the report at the end of the month and change the Ageing by option to be by Due date and the report would then exclude any invoices with a due date later than the month end it was being run by. However when doing the same in the new format report this does not work and the Current column shows invoices for the month as being due even if they have a due date of later than the month end date being selected i.e. the report…

  6. I hope that there's separate columns for date and employee name as seen in the previous report as it's totally useful when summarising data for various period. For instance, when generating the old report, it's completely quicker to use the pivot table and other excel formulas to calculate the total hours work and the corresponding cost in a certain period and prepare a comparative report for various pay item/period and employee using the old payroll activity detailed report. It's a single payroll report where all the relevant information is included.

    Hiya team, thank you for sharing your feedback and letting us know the detail and why this is valuable to you. Based on feedback we received on the Employee name and Date columns the team have just released an update to the Payroll Activity Detailed report to include Employee name and Date as separate columns in the report and these will now show by default.

    This will help as noted when exporting and using the data for further analysis outside of Xero. 

  7. For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

  8. When posting conversion balances, you have to post balances at the end of the month. If you could select a day, i.e. 5th of April, it would make posting conversion balances a lot easier

When viewing reports ( e.g. transactions reports) if you change the date range of the report after you have looked at the transactions for a particular date range , the report comes up with "nothing to show" so you have to close it and reopen the report with the different dates - it's annoying and time consuming.

    Hi Shelley, is this something you've approached our Support team about ? It'd be good to have them dive deeper into this if not already to confirm behaviours. 

    If you have transactions entered in your org for the dates the report is being run this should be reflected in your report results. 

  10. When importing bulk invoices, have the ability to upload discounts as a dollar amount and not as a %.

  11. It would be great to be able to filter by the PAYROLL DATE not just the DUE DATE for Superannuation Payments.
    This would make it a lot easier when creating smaller super batch payments.
    Currently, we pay our 100 staff's super each month (30 days after) and this means I need to manually click next to each individual payment line. I can multi-select all, but that will select every single line for all months.

    If we could get the actual flow for how the paperwork per Job can be produced!

    1.I always start with a QUOTATION: this doesn't always need to be sent to a customer at all as it could be raised by way of a telephone conversation, etc,et. This is logged as a Job manually in a Workbook.

  14. When trying to identify how many new contacts have been added in a certain period it is impossible without pulling months of billing and sorting by client name. Also would be great for marketing to know about Client anniversaries.

    Simply by adding a field for the date added when setting up the record would be ideal, it could then be shown on the exported contacts report.

  15. New Employee start date is part way through a pay week. The New pay run does not recognise the start day and calculates an entire weeks pay.
    This requires manual calculation and double check if the pay run has been recalculated. Open to errors and over payment

  18. Make it possible for imported invoices to be marked as sent when importing them.
    Perhaps an additional column in the template Mark as sent status "Y for sent N for not sent"
    If this is not possible the ability to bulk "mark as sent"
    this would eliminate the issue of individually opening each invoice to manually "mark as sent" to activate the auto invoice reminders

  19. If Xero Expenses' OCR reader doesn't find a date in a photo/receipt, it sets it as 19 Feb 2022 (from reviewing a number of Expenses in my organisation submitted in December 2022 that don't have visible dates).

    It would be more helpful to set the date as the day the Expense was initially created.
    The submitter is likely to have incurred the Expense on the day they take a photo of the receipt.
