  1. The ability to filter bills to pay by tracking category and select invoices for batch payments by tracking category to enable businesses with multiple locations/businesses within the one Xero account to manage, approve and pay bills based on the location/business the bill is applicable to.

It would be great to have the ability to have a ‘send remittance advice’ button under the accounts transactions page of the bank accounts to easily tick the payments you want to send a remittance advice of to suppliers. Perhaps next to the ‘remove & redo’ button. This will save a lot of time having to go into a payment transaction. I know that the remittance advices can be send for bulk payments but this needs to be done before the payment is removed if various suppliers are paid in the same batch. The same option can perhaps…

  3. The ISO 3166 country name for "United Kingdom" is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)", which is 58 characters. We are currently unable to use this name for our contacts as Xero throws an error (both in the UI and API).

    Please consider increasing the country name maximum length to at least 60 characters.

  4. Currently when creating batch payment files, multiple bills to the same payee are combined into a single line with only one set of bank payment details (although they appear separate on the batch payment screen in Xero).

    Sometimes different bank reference details are needed for each payment, and sending the details in a remittance advice is inappropriate - it would be helpful if the lines could remain separate rather than combined so that unique bank reference details could be added against each line for the same payee

  5. I would be good to be able to carry out data analysis of each nominal code and therefore group the account transactions by month with totals rather than by week which will ultimately tie back to the P&L. This would make it useful when carrying out data analysis from the P&L.

  6. Restrict the ability to create a new contact,
    or at least do a verification of a new contact by e.g. pop up window "are you sure you want to create a new contact?"

    And taking it one step further - running a validation check in the current contact list and make suggestions of other current contacts that is closely alligned.
    e.g. after entering " H and M stores" a pop up can ask, did you not mean "H&M Stores" that is currently a contact?

  7. I have multiple bank accounts in Xero in which I reconcile payments to the same Chart of Account. I would like to be able to run a report which shows me how much logged against a particular Chart of Account came from each bank account. While at the moment it will show you this in the report it will not total it meaning I have to export to excel and add another step.

  9. Since the change to the updated Bank Rules page, it now defaults to 'Any Conditions Match'.

    I have to change this to 'All Conditions Match' literally every. single. time. I create a bank rule, otherwise it defaults to matching almost all transactions.

    This is a disaster waiting to happen.

    Thanks for sharing back on the change, Alan. It's difficult to make changes to suit everyone's needs, and changing the default from 'All' to 'Any' was carefully considered as part of the recent updates to Bank Rules. 

    This was something users told us would be helpful as many more users create 'loose' rules to capture more statement lines.

    Currently there aren't any plans to change this back. What would be more useful would be the ability to set your own default, but for now we'll begin to track the interest of this here.

  10. I want to be able to group/merge multiple expenses being on-billed into one line on an invoice, even if they're not a tracked expense.

    For example, if a contracting company has billed for a fortnight of the contractor's work, but has separated that into two lines, each dealing with one week, on their bill, then the draft that is created when they e-invoice me will have two lines. When I assign these lines to a project and approve the bill, each line shows up as a separate expense to be on-billed. If I am on-billing the full fortnight, I would…

  11. It would be handy if account transaction list that shows when you click on your bank account could be modified to include / remove different fields so that you can see information that you would like to see when looking at bank transactions without having to create a custom report.

  12. Please include the functionality of classic invoicing which allows Xero to suggest email addresses based on your previous contacts used. This is a key time saving feature in our workflow and one of only a few reasons we cannot transition over.     Hi team, sorry we didn't return to update you on the deliver of being able to keep the contact when copying an invoice with new invoicing.

    This was released a couple of weeks ago. Now when you copy an invoice to a new draft invoice you'll get the option to keep the same contact.

    It;s worth noting that while the contacts details will follow through to the new invoice for sending purposes. Defaults are not automatically applied - So, if you'd like contact defaults to be applied to the new invoice you'll need to remove the contact and then re-add in the new draft invoice.

  13. It would be helpful with the new Timesheet features to be able to add more than one work time and break time per day to allow for split shifts.

    Hey everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback throughout this thread. It’s clear how important this feature is, especially for staff working split shifts.

    I’m happy to confirm that our latest update to timesheets brings the multiple start, end and break times feature across to the updated timesheet experience, and will be available on both Xero Me mobile and web.

  14. An Information message to advise implications of editing the "Account Type" when posting a bill for a Fixed Asset.
    "If an approved bill or spend money transaction is edited, and the account code is changed to one with a Fixed Asset account type - a draft asset won't be created". ie- it does not automatically update the transaction to include the item on the fixed asset schedule. Unless the item is manually added to the fixed asset register, it will not be included in subsequent depreciation runs.

  15. Xero should automatically recognise a Xero client account number in any bank transfer and allocate those funds to existing invoices in that client's account. This should either just occur automatically when a client payment matches the total on their statement, or alternatively, any payment should simply be allocated to the client's oldest invoices.

    Currently, when customers pay us for invoices that we have sent them, we search for their name in the “Match” function during the bank feed reconciliation. We then select the invoice(s) that match each payment and reconcile these.

  16. Why does the screen on each contact not show an aged breakdown at a glance like it does in Sage 50 accounts? Sometimes I only want to look at that particular supplier/customer to see what we owe them by month without having to go to the reports screen. Also why does it not list payments on account in the top part of the screen. It is so confusing to work out what is due and what isn't. Awful set up

  17. Employees have requested their net pay to be paid across more than four bank accounts, though this function is not available. Increasing the number of bank accounts would assist employees and those processing payroll.

  18. It would be great if, when viewing a contact, there was a quick 'sign/flag' to show if that contact has an active Direct Debit form.
