  1. Overpayments should appear in the Find & Match for Customers.
    If a customer pays their correct amount owing, but an overpayment on their account hasn't been allocated against an invoice, it is impossible to reconcile.
    Users have to go into Contacts, check if there is an overpayment, allocate the overpayment against an invoice then go back into the Bank Reconciliation page.
    Users should be able to tick the invoices being paid and the overpayment that was used to reconcile in Find & Match.

  2. ZOHO allows you to add an account on the drop down list of accounts on your Bank Recon page.

    This is very handy, to not have to navigate to Chart of Accounts first to add an account.
    Just add it on the go while allocating bank transactions.

  3. I would like to be able to see Customers and Suppliers on the top bar, without having to first go into contacts, this would make looking up customers or suppliers easier with less delay. I often select the wrong one in error and then it takes even longer.

  4. Can the new bank summary report have the option of adding in the imported statement balance for each bank account. This would provide a quick way of checking which accounts need more work rather than having to check each reconciliation report for each bank account when there are multiple bank accounts (I have 10+ and it is arduous having to run each reconciliation report just to check the balance)

    Hi everyone, while not a direct solve for the idea here we wanted to share a recent release that improves customers ability to confirm their bank balances using the new Bank Reconciliation Summary report.

    With the new report you'll now find you can enter a Bank statement ending balance. This means where an imported statement balance has not imported, or doesn't match your actual bank statement balance you can now enter an amount and update the report. Xero will then calculate the balance out by based on the amount you've entered in this field.

    Currently this is still on a bank by bank run report, you can switch between banks you have in your organisation from the Bank account field.

    If there are any plans to develop a view across all banks at once we'll let you know here.

  5. Ability to select multiple/all transactions during reconciliation.

    Purpose: To save users time from having to reconcile the transactions one by one.

    Thanks for all sharing and supporting how bulk reconciling transactions and suggestions that have been matched to statement lines in your bank would help your business.

    It's great to see the trust you've built in Xero's capabilities to match and help you save time from manually finding and creating transactions to reconcile your bank.

    Along with building on the foundations of our platforms, the teams efforts at present have been on improving the ability to create suggested transactions for more statement lines in your org - With a lot of this being backend logics there's not a heap you'll see from the front side of things but Xero's reconcile engine is getting stronger and overtime you should find even less need to create transactions in your org, yourself.

    With this work underway there is no development for being able to reconcile transactions that have the 'OK' presented option atm,…

  6. On Drafts there would be say 10 lines which is actually all for the same asset.

    Say I am building a product store. Using 10 different suppliers. Store, Erection, Floor, Building inside etc. I want to map all those together and register as 1 asset when done. This way the auditors see the whole store as one asset. Not 10 lines that I must show them. For instance "Thats the floor in that storage building"

    Thanks for your feedback and interest in the idea here. We appreciate the desire for being able to enable employees to make these changes themselves.

    While this is something the team will continually review as they keep developing Payroll for Australia, we want to be open that this is not in the direct plans atm.

    If there are any changes or progress for developing this we'll be sure to come back and update you on this, here.

  9. Currently, apart from rolling back depreciation prior to the first asset being allocated to an Asset Type, it isn't possible to update the accounts code without a lot of hassle.

    For example, a general depreciation code may have been assigned to an Asset Type. If you would like to update this to a specific code, e.g. "Depreciation - Plant & Equipment", it is a difficult process with the potential for unintended changes to prior years.

    As a result, a common workaround is having to do a journal to reallocate the depreciation amount for each period. However, if you could…

  11. It would save numerous steps if:

    When a new account is created from within a transaction (for instance spend money or journal entry) the option to add a reporting name was available, instead of having to update later through the chart of chart of accounts.

    When creating a new account, through the chart of accounts or elsewhere, that the Report Code mapping category could be allocated at the same time.

  13. it is very difficult to manually add a " pay template " every time when a new employee is added, so is there any shortcut for that? because when we have more joining every day then it is very difficult to manually add every time ordinary rate and overtime rate and other things again and again in a pay template. please update XERo as soon as possible.

  14. For tracked inventory items, there's no way to change the inventory asset account which can be inconvenient. As the inventory grows, they are put under new different classifications so I want to add a new inventory asset account for each. However, I cannot change it in the item's inventory asset account when it is already tracked. It would be very helpful if this will be allowed. Or at least a way to delete a tracked item if there's no transactions/bills, but only adjustments.

  15. When reviewing the 'Account Transactions' report in Xero there is an ability to filter by 'Source' type. However, only the 'Select all' option includes Payroll Expense Journals.

    Considering I can filter around every other transaction type, I don't see why Payroll Expense Journals can't be added as a source option?

    I know exporting to Excel works as a workaround - but considering every other source type is available adding one more shouldn't be difficult?

    Hi team, appreciate recent feedback when we recently merged this idea to this one. Understand that there's a bit of a difference in what's being asked between the two ideas, and we've unmerged to continue to track these ideas separately. 

    Being open there are no current plans to add a filter for Payroll expense journal to Source, however we will continue to get a sense of the interest in this and let you know if any progress is made, here.

  20. An option to set the date range to "last week" from the date range pull down options in account transactions reports.

    Being able to create custom account transactions reports set to "last week" would be invaluable for our weekly reporting, avoiding fiddly changes to the date range each week when pulling a number of reports, and preventing any dating errors.

    It would be a great advantage.

    Should be an easy to add that option to Xero, I would have thought.

    And it is a common option (e.g. GoCardless has it.)
