  1. can you make the selection of multiple files possible when adding images to invoices please. i have to navigate to my phones picture folder when i am invoicing out my expenses for the month. i have to attach copies of my receipts to the invoice and its painful only being able to add them one at a time.

  2. Generate Reports with Trailing Time Periods

    I want to have a report that tracks how my business is doing on a trailing X-day time period. Standard windows I view are 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.

    I would love it if I could create a custom P&L report that looks at the financial health of my business over the last 30 days whenever I open it up.

    The current work around is to manually specify dates by calculating what was 30 days or 90 days into the past which works, but is annoying.

  3. “Send via Xero Network” feature in your invoicing system, which have negatively impacted our workflow and client payment behavior.

    Since the update, this option now appears at the bottom of the invoice, while the sending process begins at the top. This disjointed placement is not intuitive and often leads to it being overlooked. More importantly, the system does not remember this selection, requiring us to manually enable it every time we send an invoice.

    If this is the common selection for due date you can set this up as a Default in your Invoice Settings, Denise. It's also possible to set this up as a default for individual contacts if you'd prefer too. 🙂

    Alternatively, you might find it handy to use the shortcut when entering your invoices. You can simply type +10 in the due date field and it will set the date to 10 days after the Invoice Issue date.

  5. When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

  6. It would be great to have the date of bank transactions as a criteria field when creating a rule. When we are paid by the ESFA, the amounts we receive at the beginning of the month have a different nominal to those received later in the month. In Sage we could set a rule as 'between 2 dates'

    Hi Sarah, when a bank rule is applied it'll use the date of the statement line to apply to the transaction it creates so you don't need to set this within the rule itself. Or are you saying you'd like to set the date of the transaction that's going to be created when the bank rule is applied? 

  7. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

    Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.

  8. I run a braille transcription business and must submit braille files along with invoice. I would like to send all from once source, Xero, rather than in a separate email. Attach .cdr (CorelDraw) and .B2K (Braille2000) files (other file types, too).

    1. As a senior manager I want to export a report, in one operation, a table of employee name and hours left to book, I need this to chase employees who are not taking leave and know the financial risk we are carrying in the business from untaken leave e.g.

  10. Some of my customers utilise my services through a scheme where their employer or a separate 3rd party will pay their invoice.
    Often this same employer or 3rd party will be paying for many of my different clients and they will often pay me in one payment.

    Think of something like an insurance company paying for repairs on many different vehicles, or NDIS payments for the provision of health services to many different customers.

  11. I would like to have my monthly subscription invoices in EUR instead of the standard USD invoices that Xero Global issues. There are a lot of European countries that fall under Xero Global by default but paying these invoices makes us incur unnecessary bank charges due to FX. Please amend and let us decide on the invoicing currency for our subscriptions.

  13. Please change the location of the pop up message "default contacts have been applied". When creating a new invoice, the pop up message appears in the bottom left, but I'm trying to look at my contact info and enter data. The pop up box lingers too long and covers the information I need to enter, interfering with the data entry! This is frustrating every time when creating multiple invoices and I have to "x" the pop up message away each time, which then causes extra steps and takes longer. Data entry is all about efficiency and less steps/clicks..you have created…

    Hi team, sorry we have not engaged with this idea before now. I'm pleased to confirm that this idea is already a feature within Xero.

    If a user is in an eInovicing region(AU, NZ or UK) and has registered to receive eInvoices, once you add them as the Contact to your invoice the option to 'Send as an eInvoice' will appear.

    For non-eInvoicing regions the option to send via the Xero network is available and your customer will be able to share their Xero network key with you to send with this option - This option is currently available from the Awaiting Payments list screen, however we're currently developing the ability to send with the Xero Network from within an invoice and you can stay updated on this delivery here.

  15. I think being able to connect a barcode scanner to xero to allow users to create a new invoice and scan items to have them appear as line items would be very beneficial to many customers. A lot of people use xero to resell items and if i could create a new invoice and instead of manually type everything, to just scan the UPC and have the item pop up would help prevent human errors

  16. I have noticed that when you are preparing to send an invoice via email in Xero that you can now add new addresses in the TO, CC and BCC lines. This is great.

    However, I have noticed that ALL contacts are available to add here. It would be safer to only allow the contact email addresses associated with the contact name on the invoice. It is too easy to add the wrong address and potentially send invoice information to the wrong client.

    If other people needed to do this, perhaps a tick box could be applied to allow ALL CONTACTS…

  19. When using the Reconcile Period feature for clients with multiple bank accounts, it is time-consuming to click in and out of each account to check if reconciliation is needed. It can also be difficult to remember which account you left off on, especially when reconciling at different times throughout the month.

    Displaying the ending date of the last reconciled period next to "Reconcile Period" and/or on the dashboard would provide a quick overview of the last reconciliation for each account, improving efficiency.

  20. It would be great to have an option to run a sales report by item which includes draft invoices, delivery dockets, and purchase orders as well.

    For example, I tried to run a sales report on qty of each product sold for the financial year to date and realised this information was inaccurate as we had sold a significant qty as draft invoices (using draft invoicing in lieu of delivery docket functionality), these products were not included in the sales report.
