Contacts - View recent invoices > report to be filtered by contact
When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

NZ Payroll - 63 day holiday report
This is required at year end. Annual leave owing at balance date but paid within 63 days after balance date is tax deductible in that balance date year.

New invoicing - Attach .cdr (CorelDraw) and .B2K (Braille2000) files
I run a braille transcription business and must submit braille files along with invoice. I would like to send all from once source, Xero, rather than in a separate email. Attach .cdr (CorelDraw) and .B2K (Braille2000) files (other file types, too).

UK payroll - Back date directorship start date
Xero should deal with back dating a directorship
As an accountants it is not unusual to only have a touch point around the year end and the client prepares the payroll. And the addition of new directors can be missed by the staff preparing the payroll.
No HMRC guidance is that you can adjust in the next month if the directorship is in the same payroll year. Xero does not work in this scenario. You need to revert each pay run back to the start if the directorship and re run and submit and if there is a weekly pay…2 votes -
Branding - Feature to create CIS templates with company logo
It would be great if there was a function to add a template including a business logo for the monthly subcontractor CIS payment certificates - like the invoicing templates.

Invoice - Quick edit option (like bills)
Invoice payments
Can we have a function in invoicing to record a payment the same as the new 'eye' function on bills (screenshot attached)? Would make life a lot easier as adding multiple payments to an invoice currently involves way too many clicks!3 votesGreat to hear that you find the quick edit feature useful, Eve. Thanks for raising your idea here - we'll start to get a sense of the community interest around this here and share if there are any updates.

Customer statement - add customised due dates
Customer statement - with a customised due date option.
The option to be able to email customer statements directly from Xero with a customised due date. Eg. Selecting email customer statements to 30th June and only invoices that are due up to the 30th June are generated and emailed (rather than everything that is invoiced on their customer card which in our case could be up to 12 months in advance).

sort 'review duplicate bills' by date (it is randomized by default for contractor payments)
non-us contractor payments are listed in 'review duplicate bills' in a completely random date order, as imported from Gusto. Non-sensical. Either sort by date as a default or allow sorting by date.

Reports - Sort archived published reports by end date
Please provide better organization tools to published reports archive such as being able to sort published reports by report end date (cut-off date)!
Sometimes we have to go back and reperform a client's bank reconciliation because they don't always know what they are doing, or new transactions cleared in the subsequent period affect previously published report. It doesn't take long to see the published reports archive get disorganized and hard to find a published report.

New Invoicing - Consolidated invoice process voiding the original invoices automatically
Consolidated invoices:
Have a proper feature that allows us to consolidate customer invoices rather than the "copy to" or "merge" as this does not tack the consolidation.
So the example us Customer A has 15 invoices you bill on 20th of each month but want to consolidate all 15 into 1 invoice to send them with all line items (not statements). Then the 15 invoices consolidated would be zero'd or closed off with a note saying the old invoice reference and where they were consolidated to into the new single invoice.Statements…
1 voteHi Keith, thanks for sharing this idea. We understand the consolidated invoice feature is an area of interest for our customers. The scenario you've described, combining multiple invoices into one with proper tracking, provides really helpful context. Your idea has now moved to Gaining Support, which means it's open for the community to show their support through votes and comments. Thanks for contributing to making Xero better ✨.

set balance sheet default date to "today"
The Balance Sheet currently defaults to the last EOFY date, which as at today (posting this suggestion) is 9 months ago. this is frustrating as you usually look for the figures as at now, and not the end of the last financial year. This functionality changed in one of the recent product updates. I know we can change the date and re-run the report, however it seems silly to default back to the end of the last FY and is a waste of time to have to do this always.
1 voteHi Jo, from the Balance Sheet there is a common date format for 'Today'. Once selected you can save the report as Custom and make this the default if you'd prefer.

Bills - Apply contact defaults when automating bill creation
Populate Contact Purchase Defaults when Bills arrive as e-invoice or from 3rd party app.
As a bookkeeper I was so looking forward to promoting and using e-invoicing, but unfortunately it's not going to work for me (and many of my clients). This is because we often have invoices with A LOT of line items which are brought into Xero just as a total with one line only. However, if we receive an e-invoice all the individual lines would come into Xero and then we are faced with having to click through every individual line to populate the default…
17 votesThanks for your support here, everyone. Appreciate there is some interest in this from people emailing bills to their organisation, or importing via a 3rd party application.
We wanted to share a recent change we've made for those using eInvoicing - invoices received via Xero's eInvoicing will apply Contact defaults (such as a set default 'Purchase account) when creating the invoice in Xero. 😁

AU Payroll - Option to set week ending date on Timesheet Detail report
The week ending period on the Timesheet Detail Report is Monday to Friday and cannot be adjusted.
Oaur pay week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. We have to duplicate data on an Excel spreadsheet for reporting for management.
It would be very useful if the week ending period could be edited so we could use the reporting in Xero and save time processing payroll.

Invoice/Bills: Notifications - Reminder Invoice/Bill becomes due
To have an option to set up e-mail notifications to receive a report when an invoice payable becomes due
Purpose: To easily be reminded when invoices/bills due through email.
223 votesThanks for your valuable feedback and for sharing the idea of "Bill payment reminder alerts or emails." It's clear this feature would be a significant improvement. As a current workaround, you can use the existing due date field in Xero to sort your bills and set a separate calendar reminder in your preferred app. While we work on assessing this idea, I want to share that we're exploring bill payment reminders for users with multiple initiatives in progress. We appreciate all your feedback and votes, as they help us better understand the impact and benefits of this feature, and we'll be sure to update this page with any new developments.

Xero Analytics Plus | Short term cashflow - Ability to set date range (e.g a year)
Xero Analytics Plus cashflow to show a year not just 90 days.
The current cashflow upgrade from Xero only shows up to 90 day which is weird as in reality you need to forecast for the year. Is this going to be extended to a year like all the other cashflow apps ?50 votes -

Invoicing: Option to 'Add for eInvoicing' when receiving invoices from other Xero Organisations
Rather than requesting or sharing the Xero Network key, if we receive an invoice from a supplier that is submitted through Xero .. we should have an option to add the supplier for eInvoicing with a clickable button "Add supplier for eInvoicing in future" .... this way, as a customer, I am in control and opt-in myself rather than administrative burden of requesting / sharing network keys

New Invoicing - Show email as address
It would be great to use email address as address in an invoice as often clients only provide an email as contact.
i.e no delivery address.1 voteHi Marcel, with the standard invoice template this will show the billing address on the PDF of the invoice. If you don't have a physical address for the contact and want to include the email address, enter and save this in the billing address details on the contact. You can either do this from their contact record or on the fly when creating the invoice. here's an example I created of how this will appear.

EU Invoice: Ability to switch comma/decimal format
Currently in European Countries except for the United Kingdom, the comma is used as a decimal separator not the dot.
Europe: x.,xx i.e. €1.250,55
UK: x,.xx i.e. £1,250.55For those Xero users invoicing to Europe countries It would be great if we could change the format of these numeric separators to better conform to European countries.
The only ability we have at the moment to customise this is to remove the comma separator completely and have no decimal places.
i.e €1 2519 votes
