  1. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

  3. I would like clients who prepare their own BAS to be able to lock periods - as this is good practice for obvious reasons. Currently if they are a Standard user they are not able to access this area to lock periods. If I make them an Advisor they have access to unlocking prior years and make changes (been there done that - never again).
    Please have the option to give standard users the ability to lock periods (i.e. the first lock period date, but not the second date), or provide a solution to address the above issue.

  4. Repeating Invoices - ability to copy existing repeating invoice.

    Reasons:
    - Temporary Discount rewards (Scenario 1 below)
    - Previously agreed future price changes
    - Similar fee package for another client on a recurring basis

    Scenario 1
    - Client signs an ongoing recurring contract Monthly Fee = $1,000 (for illustration purposes):
    - Client sends us a referral, so we discount their fee 10% for the next 4 months (update current recurring amount to $900)

  5. I have clients whose bookkeeper does the payroll and also processes accounts payable/receivable invoices. Currently we can't have submit/draft only invoice access AND payroll access. This means that if they want to do payroll, they also get access to approval of invoices. Can we please create a user role where draft/payroll access is combined?

  7. After creating an unscheduled payrun via the Payroll AU API when you get the payrun it returns an array of payslips where the employee id and payrun id do not exist (the only fields returned are FirstName, LastName & UdatedDateUTC). If you then proceed into the xero admin (in the browser) and view the payrun you can then click to include an employee. Returning back to the API if you retrieve the payrun again the employee id and payrun id are then set for that employees payslip entry.

  8. I would like to have my contractor be able to submit timesheets via XeroMe and have the timesheets linked to a "Withholding Income" pay item.

    It currently looks like timesheets require a Regular Earnings pay item to be selected before they can be submitted and then approved

  9. Please could you add the ability to select on the customer contact card if invoices are sent by e-invoice or not. Some customers prefer e-invoices, and some are not set up for e-invoices.

  10. Being able to filter on the Short-Term Cash flow would be very helpful. For example, if I create an invoice but haven't sent it yet, it's included in the projected income, but if I can tell the report to only show invoices that have been "Sent" it would only include invoices that have actually been sent to the client.

  12. Before the update there were two greyed out boxes, when hovered over revealed the employee full salary and earnings to date - this was very handy when the salaries are based on an hourly rate. Where has this function gone? and can we have it back please.

  13. Widen the display of the GST Audit report. When viewing the GST return I also check the GST audit report. When viewing the GST audit report I cannot see the date on the left side without scrolling to the bottom and using the scroll bar to move the report from side to side. It will not show all the columns at once.

    Hi everyone, our new New Zealand GST experience is now available to all users.

    As noted in my last update there is no longer a GST audit report. The transactions tab provides options to toggle different columns on or off. 

    The new experience also auto scales the page to fit information in one screen, so no more need to scroll. Thanks for all your feedback and contributing to the idea here.

  14. Get payment link for inclusion in external email

    Makes sending invoices easy if able to create a link that can be sent via email.

  15. What I want to show in the batch payment summary is the transaction date.
    For example, I used my personal money to buy sth on 1st June & 10th June. Then I submit "expense claims" on these two days. And when accountant batch the payment for my claims, I want to show the transaction date (1st June & 10th June) on the batch PDF, just as shown in my attached image.

  16. "As an employee submitting my expenses I don't want to be left out of pocket because Xero Expenses doesn't allow me to set the exchange rate I was charged by my bank."

    Xero Expenses uses XE.com exchange rates for foreign currency exchange rates and it's not possible to override/change this.

    It should be possible for the employee, or approver, to manually set the foreign and domestic currency amounts, or set the exchange rate itself.

  18. Purchase orders should not be able to be edited after they have been billed (even part billed). It defeats the purpose of a purchase order.
    We want staff to be able to issue purchase orders. Invoices are approved on those matching purchase orders. The same staff shouldn't be able to edit the original PO if it has been billed as then it doesn't match the invoice that's been paid/being paid.

  19. When syncing invoices from Joblogic to Xero, they post straight to approved status - can a feature be added so they can be posted to 'awaiting approval' to avoid dating errors on the invoices?

  20. SureIy this would be a no brainer??

    I'd like an option to download PDFs with a password automatically added.

    The password could be added in the company setting pages with the option to download "Protected PDF" when you print a report.

    This feature seems so simple to create and i'm not sure why it hasn't been thought of.

    This would also save us having to do this manually with every report sent to a client.

    Please set this up at it would be a great option for bookkeepers and accountants.
