  2. I would like to visualise how draft bills and invoices affect my cashflow, something which I know is not possible at the moment. This would allow me to predict how multiple open quotes & projects could affect my financing requirements. Could this be added in future?

  3. Could we implement an option to pay an invoice via bank transfer when a customer clicks on the 'pay now' link on an invoice?

    At the moment, most of the connected services are done via card and may have fees included on top of what the customer already has to pay.

  4. I wish to see if invoices are paid on unpaid when pulling account transaction reports.

    Accounting - Account Transaction Report - Columns - (add if we can see if bill/invoice paid or unpaid)

    There is no way currently when pulling this report to see if the bills are paid or not.

    Apologies for not seeing your response here sooner, Jayden. Thanks for sharing that image. I do hope you've got your answer already but to confirm for anyone viewing here - That screenshot appears to be the Account Transactions report. 

    To view paid or unpaid invoices or bills you'll want to run the Receivable or Payable Invoice Detail reports. This is a slightly different report to what you're looking at and can be found in the Payables and Receivables section of the reports centre. 

  5. Currently after we assigned billable expenses to a customer and subsequently when we create a new invoice with the billable expenses, noted that the tracking category named Projects as well as account code are not auto-fill. We need to fill in manually which is time-consuming, imagine there are 100 items in the invoice.

    It will be very helpful and save time if the account and project code will be auto-fill in the invoice. We really appreciate your support and looking forward this can be implemented. Thank you!

  6. The repeating invoices that go to draft should have an option of saving for the next repeating invoice for that client. If you dont edit the invoice before it goes to draft eg: to increase an annual charge, then it does not save for the next time that repeating invoice comes up. Either that or give an option for a repeating invoice that has been delited to repeat again.

Currently, all our tracking categories are available to those entering expenses, however, the majority are not relevant to expenses (although they are required for invoicing so we cannot remove them from the list). We would like to be able to chose which items in the categories are available and which are not, just like we are able to with the GL accounts.

The need to have an occassional tax point date that is different from that of the invoice date has arisen, usually found in the retail sector, and there is not currently an ability to add the field to the sales invoice form. Can there be the ability to have this feature added, albeit a hidden one? Currently the work around is to create an invoice outside of Xero and send that version to the client, causing additional workload. We have been seeing this from vendors for years but the workaround there is entering in the tax point as the invoice…

  9. Invoice setting: There should be the ability to remove the Item Name from the Item column when creating or editing invoices.
    Currently it is not possible to show only the items code.

    1. I need to be able to get a total on all the quantities on an invoice. If there are say 5 entries I would like to be able to get a total of all the quantities entered .
    2. One is able to move a line in an invoice from one place to another. But I would like to be able to move more than one entry around at once. So if I am able to select 2 or more entries and move them to another place in the invoice it would be great.

  10. It would be great that it would be possible to set a default branding theme for a particular currency. This way the payment details added to a theme tailored for a Currency will match the invoice currency without manually having to set the correct theme in the invoice.

  11. As payments are applied to invoices or bills, you can't see the description detail on a cash basis report (no problem with an accrual detailed general ledger though).

    The old general ledger (export function) enabled you to see the description on both accrual & cash.

    Seems illogical?!

  13. Currently, when a client clicks on "Ask a question" when viewing their invoice. This message is sent to the staff members personal email that created the contact in Xero rather than the delegated email address the organisation has selected in Email settings.

    What if the staff member no longer works at the company or these emails are being missed as they are not sent to the organisations delegated email?

The online invoice sent to customer (not the PDF) and invoice in Xero only show the Item description and not the Item name or Code, this is not right as it means if we add personal details to the item on the invoice it isn't possible to tell what the item is without doubling up the Name in the Item description

    Hi community, sorry we've not looped into this idea sooner. You'll now find with new invoicing that you can add a new contact and their details, or edit a contacts details without having to leave the page. 

    When you add a new contact, this'll open the modal for the Contact card and from here you can add the Contact name, Email, Billing and Delivery addresses, and or phone number. 

  17. Currently a client can upload a number of invoices and then create a batch payment for these invoices. When they make a payment for 1 of the invoices in the batch, you have to remove and redo the payment then match the separate invoice up, and then recreate the batch payment, excluding the amount which has now been paid. Would be easier if like with invoices, the batch payment could be split, saving the new to remove and then recreate the batch payment.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding the ability to split batch payments when reconciling, and understand it currently takes extra steps to reconcile when a single invoice among a batch has been paid, or when there are multiple payments to the same entity for different invoices.
    Being transparent, we don’t have direct plans for making this change within the foreseeable future but if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

  18. Hi not sure if it is available, but can you add WhatsApp to clients? It would be great if one can email and WhatsApp client invoices and statements, directly from the online portal.

  19. Ability to add a second reference field.
