History & Notes - Login - Timestamps for login history
Audit trail of logins to Xero - there seems to be a series of different visual aids and short screen reports showing when a user last logged in, however from an audit perspective, it would be ideal to have a report that can be run for set periods showing when users have logged in. The information to run this type of report is there from the History and Notes report and the Assurance Dashboard. However a report that shows a time/date stamp would be ideal as evidence in cases of fraud/performance management

Chart of accounts - Import with GIFI codes
It would be nice when you import a custom chart of accounts to prepopulate the GIFI, similar to the report codes.

UK Payroll - Ability to add bespoke pay frequencies such as 445
Add an additional pay frequency of 4-4-5 which is a very common pay frequency in the UK for service based businesses with hourly payrolls. Payroll is process in 4 week, 4 week and 5 week intervals over a year meaning essentially 4 x quarters of 13 weeks.

Report - Contact created date
Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

New invoicing - Ability to set a default BCC email
Is there a way to edit the email template when invoicing to add a standard email address in the BCC field? by doing this Trustpilot gets the email details to send out reviews?? i cant find an option for this feature
obviously you would put your unique Trustpilot email address into the the BCC template field

Xero Projects - Allow Users to print their own timesheet
Limited Projects Users should be able to print a timesheet. Those who are subcontractors require their own records, and this saves duplication. Clients often require timesheets to be signed, and the person who entered the time is usually the best person to arrange this, however they cannot do so unless they can print their own timesheet.

AU Payroll | Pay Items - Date driven (add start & end date)
Can we please have the ability to add effective start and end dates against pay items. For example, a deduction may only be for 10 weeks at a set amount. Rather than having to setup multiple notes offline to remind us of this, can't we have this function setup in the payroll system so it only deducts the amount over the set period specified?

New invoicing - Attach more files to invoice when sending/resending
I'm currently re-sending an invoice (manually sending a reminder) and I'd like to attach the email delivery receipt (which I have because I originally sent the invoice to me and then forwarded to the client from Outlook but that's a different set of bugfix/feature requests) as a file to the reminder. The only way to do this at the moment is to back out of the invoice sending screen, attach it to the original invoice and then send the invoice with the attachments both old and new.
I'd like to be able to attach things to the invoice email when I'm sending it; those attachments should probably be attached to the invoice or otherwise have some kind of auditable record that they've been sent.

With a few other items of focus for the team in this space atm, I do want to be open that there aren't any plans atm, but we'll track the interest here, I'll make sure this extra detail gets back to the team, and can share if there is any change to update you on, here.

New Invoicing - Show quantity in Item drop down
You've finally forced us into the new invoicing. Lots of promises were made to fix what was broken with it. Unfortunately these promises are just as broken as the new invoicing. Here's what needs fixed:
When a new invoice comes up automatically set the focus to the name field so it's ready to receive data. Have to click on it.
Fix the date field. If I use the down arrow key it opens up the date widget But then using the left and right arrow keys should move the date off of the current date to either tomorrow or yesterday. That is not what is happening. Instead it starts at some beginning of the month date and I have to navigate the whole month just to get to yesterday. Why is this so hard?
Allow me to enter a payment right on the approved invoice page instead of having to open up another window. Currently that payment window is bare bones. Date widget isn't nearly as functional as even the broken one on the invoice page. Account drop down isn't as functional as the account drop down on the invoice page. Them require mouse clicks just to get things done. Can't navigate this thing with the keyboard. If the approved invoice had a place just to enter a new payment like the old one you'd be miles ahead. Why was this not done?
On the item drop down in the invoice page please show quantities. This would be a huge improvement even over the old invoicing.

In order for others in community to know what they're voting for and help our product teams get understanding of the specific changes our customers would like to see it's best that these are tracked separately on product ideas site. There are existing ideas for some of the points you've raised here.
Relating to your point on the date field - I'd recommend connecting with our specialists to confirm the behaviour that you're getting and the specific date field this is related to. Once you press enter or space after opening the calendar widget you should be able to use your keyboard arrow keys to navigate the calendar.
I'll update the title of your idea here to reflect your last point on being able to view quantity from the Item drop down as it doesn't look like we have one for this atm.
If any movement is made for any of these we will share a public status update on the respective idea.

Workpapers - custom tables do not export to pdf
Workpapers 'Custom Work Programme' custom tables do not export when - the space where they should appear is blank / incomplete.
We don't really understand why the workpapers would allow tables that cannot be exported, as from our perspective the purpose of workpapers is to guide and record preparation procedures followed.
From our perspective this is not a product idea request but rather an oversight or error that needs to be resolved.

Bank | Reconcile period - Allow copy & paste with '$' symbol
Thanks for adding this feature. I'm trying it and I noticed that if you copy and paste a value with a $ in it, it will not paste properly. Sometimes when you copy paste opening or closing balances from PDF it copies including the dollar sign.
Please allow to paste the value with the $ in it.
Also, there doesnt seem to be any way of deleting a draft period. Please consider adding a small garbage bin icon in the period list and inside the period.

1 voteGreat to hear you're making use of Reconcile period, Alvaro. Taking your comment from the idea here. I've split this into 2 new ideas; one for deleting a draft period, and this one for being able to copy and paste amounts with a $ sign.

Login - Account Settings - Log in to - BUG FIX
Please fix the Account setting for the Log in to preference so that it works as advertised.
Currently the option to log in to "The organisation I was last in" does NOT work as advertised. It will log me in to a seeminly random organisation from the list of my organisations.
I believe that it is logging me into the "Last organisation that ANYONE was in"9 votesHi community, returning back to this idea and connecting with product we've found users in the same situation have often accessed Xero from a saved bookmark.
If you're still running into the same and have saved a bookmarked URL to access Xero we'd recommend removing this, and going to my.xero.com, or login.xero.com to login to Xero.
If the issue persists it's really best for our specialists at Xero Support to investigate further. You can reach them by raising a case through Xero Central.

Inventory - Warning of item code duplicate
Item code duplication notification prior to adding all the purchase and sales details or if it is duplicated make it editable while entering invoices without having to go out and into the inventory tab.

AU Payroll - Create a new timesheet for deleted timesheet period
Once a timesheet has been deleted for a given pay period by an employee, both the employee and the payroll administrator should be able to create a new timesheet for this same period.
We have had instances where the employee has accidently deleted their timesheet after it was declined by payroll administrator (instead of fixing it), and once deleted there is no ability for either employee or payroll administrator to create another timesheet for this period (I submitted a support request to Xero and they confirmed this).

Contacts - Add customer's invoice payments to Contacts
Please put the customer's payments on the activity page so it is easier to see what payments went to which invoices. Seeing that an invoice is paid isn't enough information if the customer has questions. It would be nice to see WHICH payment is applied to an invoice.

Xero Accounting app | Tablet users - Screen Rotate
I have the a tablet and use a cover with a keyboard, it would be so much easier to use the app if the screen didn't default to portrait mode and activating the screen keyboard. Please allow the Xero app to rotate to landscape so that I can use the cover keyboard.

Unassigned account Code
We need to be able search for items which have no account or account code allocated to them in error. There is no way to search for 'unallocated Accounts' under account transactions.
