  1. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add an option to Payroll that allows employer expenses to be processed. The Union our company is a member of insists we pay as an employer expense into a redundancy program and also an income protection program for each employee. The Union demands that the payments are detailed on each employees payslip. We can only do this if we have an employer expense option. One of my clients in the United Kingdom uses the UK version of XERO and their version allows for this. Come on Australia, catch up!!!

  2. Xero should create Fixed Assets as a draft if they are recoded from other accounts at a later date, rather than having to completely remove them and re-enter them as fixed assets.

  3. you should be able to confirm your account with a secondary email. I got locked out of my primary email, and Xero thought my normal log in was suspicious. I had not way to confirm my account. I have a secondary email. What is the point of the secondary email if there is no way to use it to confirm my account? Or use my phone for a text confirmation.

  5. The Pay Now option is not visible on the online page of an invoice when the currency of the invoice does not match the organisation's default currency. This is especially annoying when Payment Services such as Stripe are set-up as they can easily process multiple currencies.

    Moreover, as it is not (or poorly) documented that Payment Services are not usable when using a foreign currency, it just seems to be a bug. I contacted support who responded with the following:

  6. Right now, we see average days we pay or receive payment. It would be good if we can have another row that shows us the payment terms we have with the contact so we can benchmark against performance that way. The data is already in Xero, just need to show it.

    i have the following suggestion. I think it would make sense to allow the production of a Dividend Voucher in Xero also by in-house accountants, rather than only by an accounting firm that is a Xero partner.

  8. Seems a lapse in the system that you cannot send invoice reminders for over 60 days + for outstanding invoices
    We have clients that still owe us money after 60 days and we have to manually review and resend, rather than the system just picking up that any invoice is outstanding / overdue and sending a reminder automatically
    Would be nice if the system could just send an invoice reminder to any overdue invoice.

  10. Writing a void check and card number to my account safely and protected and every camera shoot or label for seasons as different styles of dress codes it also sells the outfits faster then just one item and you have an advisoer or acounter to withdraw in my account and I pay bills as I go and be on pay roll and fix this idea project process and broadcast modeling also for this business builds.

    Not sure I quite understand your idea and where you'd like to see change in Xero to help your business here, Kate. If you can come back to share more detail of what you'd like to see changed that'll help when sharing back with the team, and for others that may also be interested in this through the community. 

  11. Would be really useful to have the ability to add Spend or Receive money transactions (overpayments or prepayments) within the mobile app. At p[resent the only options are bank fees or adjustments. So quite often reconciling transactions requiring this type of action need to be left until able to access a full web browser version.

  12. In the Payroll software, we can only allocate Direct wages to the cost of sales. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Employer NI nor Employer Pension cost in the cost of sales.
    Such coding would be useful, as we now use Birghtpay to do such coding.
    Without this feature, the gross profit margin and overheads are incorrect.

  13. The lock date feature is great for preventing back posting as a whole but we would benefit from a lock feature for specific nominal accounts - to prevent colleagues posting to a specific account until dates are unlocked.

    Perhaps in the meantime you could look to use the Archive and restore options for an account in your chart of accounts as a way of managing this? 

  14. would be so much easier if the only amounts that show on the GST late file reports are amounts where the GST treatment has ACTUALLY changed. doing something as simple as changing a code in a filed period can create hundreds of pages of "late claim" adjustments but they are just in and out entries..... this also makes it harder to determine which entries have actually changed.

  15. It would be very useful to be able to separate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to classify the contacts between external and internal (intercompany/group). This would assist with the consolidated views for a group of entities.

  16. Can we please have the ability to set a due date for an expense? Currently it is set as the day it is approved, but we pay all our expenses for the whole month, on the 15th of the following month. It would be good to be able to set this as default for any expenses raised.

  17. Currently, Xero lists a super accrual for employees under the age of 18 when they earn over $450/mth. However, it doesn't take into account how many hours that employee works per week. Under 18s are not eligible to be paid super unless they work over 30 hours per week (even if they earn over $450/mth), but Xero doesn't recognise this. Unfortunately this shows up a s liability for the employer, even though a liability doesn't exist. I know that it can be worked around in the pay run, but it just means extra work for the payroll admin - particularly…

  18. When I enter a reference in batch deposit, this does not pull through to the bank reconciliation. On the bank reconciliation report, the Description is "Payment: multiple items" and the Reference field is blank. This is not useful as I have to go into each transaction and see which company the receipt has come from. Why enter a reference when it does not appear on the bank reconciliation report? When I try to search to match deposits using the company name, these deposits do not appear as the Description is unhelpful. If there are smaller batches which add up to…

  19. Currently, in the Automatic Sequencing setting, the invoice & credit note share the same number sequence. However, for tracking purpose, we prefer to have a separate number sequence for credit notes. Therefore, would like to request an additional 'Next Number' field for credit note, which can come with an option to share or not to share the number sequence with invoice.
