  1. When selecting different accounts from the dropdown list in reports, the accounts that have been selected are not easy to locate without scrolling through the list (which sometimes can be a large number).

    It would be helpful to have the accounts that already been ticked at the top of the list, so that they can easily be unticked if need be.

  3. In the account transactions report, the reference for batch deposits (of invoices) should be the payment reference.

    Currently, the individual invoice numbers are presented for batch deposits when you run account transactions.

  4. Could the 'overview' page of the contact show all the contacts/persons associated with a Contact Account, not just the 'first' one?
    We have 2 or 3 contacts/persons on most of our accounts, it would be nice to be able to see their names/emails on the company overview page, rather than having to click into 'Edit' to find these details.

  6. It would be great for those Approving Leave, to also be able to View the Leave Calendar that is currently available to Payroll Admin users in the Overview Window. Those approving leave need to know who else is on leave for the requested period, which we currently replicate in our Email Calendars, however it would be great to take this step out, it will reduce time and eliminate errors.

Bank reconciliation - A report that will show each bank transaction and then which invoice it has been reconciled against, as a way of having a quick way to check something has been reconciled incorrectly. Currently, the only way is to view each transaction through the account transaction report.

    Good to hear you're aware of how you can run the Account Transactions report to view this information, Catherine - Is there a reason or something missing from this report that would help you when reviewing transactions? 

  9. Please allow timesheet approval as a sub option to payroll admin in the user set up, similar to "invoice only" option in the business and accounting setup. We have employees on labour hire contracts that need to submit their hours to the client supervisor for approval so that we can get paid. We want to be able to add the client rep without giving them full access to payroll. The only current work around is to add them as as a "Contractor - Non Employee" in Xero Payroll

  10. VAT201 Report (ZA) - A SARS requirement is to have sequential invoice numbers. The invoice numbers are not displayed on the VAT201 report, only the customer reference number, if there is no reference number, then the customer invoice number is displayed. Can we please have a column for the customer invoice number or only have the customer invoice number listed.

  11. Document reference number could be modified & next number is shown is recommended.
    Eg.
    - Invoice number could be customised into "INV yymm-***", same goes to payment, receipt, credit note so on.
    - to shown next number under the reference number.

  14. The 'new invoicing' option automatically removes any leading carriage returns and leading spaces in the invoice description field.
    This did not occur in the classic version and wonder why it was introduced.
    To enable the details of the invoice to be easily read, it is sometimes necessary to separate line items on the invoice and to indent the actual description.
    Can this 'feature' be removed?

  15. When I am manually entering a contact bank account number, I find it disconcerting to be warned to enter the bank account number after I leave the BSB code field. But I HAVE to leave the BSB code field in order to move to the Bank account number field! Leaving the BSB field is not a mistake!
    I think the warning would be better triggered if you attempt to click on 'Save & close' without completing both fields.

  16. At the moment, you can only delete or mark as billed purchase order numbers. However, you cannot see the purchase orders after deleting them. It would be useful to have an archived section in purchase orders.

    We have found that we need to go back an see old purchase orders that did not get billed, whether it is to compare it to the purchase we actually made to see why we didn't go through with the original purchase order.

  17. Issue - Bank Transactions Auto Deleted by Xero System

    Hi Xero, i would like to suggest, please add 'Deleted' status in filter function. Because recently i just imported approximately 10,000 transactions into xero and it stated there 150 are duplicates and auto deleted by xero system, which is not duplicates actually. To find one-by-one, page-per-page really become troublesome for us in Statement Lines section and require lots of time. Also i have tried to open the one i just imported in Statements section, it keeps showing error code 500.

    Therefore, the other workaround would probably to find deleted transactions using…

The attached post indicates that Xero has delivered the ability to hide archived files by unticking the "Show Archived" box in the account transactions report and then saving it as a custom report. I have tried this, but it doesn't work. Every time I go into my custom report which should have the Show Archived box unticked it is always ticked and the archived accounts are showing. Could you please look at this again.

    Hi Sally, appreciate the image back to the earlier update you're referring to here. Is it possible that the custom report you're using was saved prior to the update and needs updating with any new setting changes and then saving again to hold these for future use? 

    If you're still finding the same behaviour, I'd highly recommend raising a case with our team of specialists at Support so they can dive into why settings you've saved in a custom report aren't being applied. Thanks 

  20. Are you likely to increase the number of employees you can have in Xero to more than 200? We don't want to move from Xero but may have to if the numbers can't be increased.

    Hi team, while we appreciate you raising the idea here, the cap of processing payroll for 200 employees is to prevent any issues with your user experience - Going over this could slow down the payroll function, and create difficulties when you run payroll reports.

    If you do need to process larger payrolls, we suggest taking a look at our third-party providers in the Xero app store that can serve your needs and handle larger payroll data.
