Homepage - Administrative control to manage widget layouts for other users
We have various users from accounts administrator to operations managers and the new home screen will automatically show them extra information they don't necessarily need, as in, the operations managers should ideally have the bills and invoices front and centre and not really each other's credit cards. Also, the profit and loss widget is extremely annoying being there as our management is presented with monthly accrual basis accounts and use a custom P+L that require a large number of journals done so the profit and loss widget is wrong until the journals get done. At the moment, the only way…
24 votesHi Debbie, thanks for sharing this idea! Giving a Subscriber control over the team’s homepage layout would be really useful—helping everyone focus on the right tasks while keeping sensitive information private.
Right now, each user customises their own dashboard, so it can be tricky for admins to know exactly what’s visible. For now, User Roles can limit access to certain data, or you can share a simple SOP with a screenshot of your preferred layout for staff to match.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can see how many in the community would find this helpful. Your feedback really helps guide what we look at next.

Homepage | Bank account widget 'Account transactions' button as well as 'Reconcile items'
The ability to access the setting for each menu item is great.
The ability to create a sales invoice for billable expenses from the billable expense is outstanding.
The button to View transactions on each bank account on the home page is excellent but I would like this button for accounts that have items to reconcile as well. Fewer clicksHelp banner on each page. I would like to be able to disable this permanently for established clients.Sales tab.
Love the "Billable Expenses", Needs to be aboveQuotes. Need to be able to not bill them where I have a project invoice. Just assign the customer.
Purchases Tab:…97 votesHi Michele, connecting with our product team I understand you directly caught up with them on some of these points too. We really value the time you've taken to connect and feedback about these beta experiences.
I've split your feedback here to multiple ideas so we can track interest in each change separately.
I've updated the title of this idea to reflect the request to add the Account transactions' button to the bank account widget and you'll find the other idea's I've created on your behalf listed below. 🙂
- Navigation - Control which apps are recommended
- Contacts - Warning if entering contact simliar to existing (there was an existing idea for finding duplicate contacts so I added your vote to this)
- Purchases overview - View Billable expenses not billed.
- Sales overview - Ability to customise and shift Billable expenses above Quotes
- Navigation - Setting to turn off help for all…

Homepage - Independent accounting basis toggle for Account Watchlist
We use cash basis for reporting, but utilize the COA watchlist in the accrual basis.
Having the ability to choose your accounting basis on the Chart of Account watchlist would allow users to take full advantage of the COA watchlist without having to change their reporting basis to one basis to utilize the watchlist and back to the other for reporting.
25 votesHi there,
Thanks for sharing this idea!
I can see how frustrating it is to have to jump back and forth into your Advanced Settings just to get the view you need on your dashboard.
The Account Watchlist is meant to give you a quick "at-a-glance" look at your numbers, and having to change your global reporting basis to make it useful definitely adds extra steps to your day.
I’ve assessed this and moved it to Gaining Support. This will allow our product team to see how many other users are running their operations on a different basis than their compliance reporting.
I’ve also updated your title to: Dashboard - Independent accounting basis toggle for Account Watchlist to make it easier for others to find and vote on.
In the meantime, while the dashboard widget is tied to your global settings, you can save a custom version of the…

Homepage - Widget for accessing custom reports
Have a widget for custom reports.
Be able to access your customised reports from the home screen or at least from a button on the drop-down menu.
51 votesAppreciate the extra details shared by everyone here.
We'll continue to get a track of the interest in a specific widget for accessing reports from the Homepage and share if there are any developments planned around this.
Right now, just to highlight what is possible - You can favourite a report from the Reports centre including a custom report you've set up to make this accessible from the Reporting drop down menu in the navigation.

Homepage | Widget for next Payroll
Next Payroll Wiget for Homepage
When the new homepage was launched, I was hoping for a widget that had the link to the next scheduled payroll, the draft amount, the due date, leave to approve, timesheets to approve, last payroll (perhaps), super payments, etc. Layout could be like the 'Bills to pay' widget without the chart. Given that in Australia, SGC will need to be paid each payroll, that draft amount could also be added in the widget, linking to the Super payments module.24 votesThanks for your idea and feedback here in the forums, Michael. Our product teams are still working on enhancements to the homepage and we'll keep a watchful eye on the interest in a payroll widget like you've described here.
I'll let you know if there are any updates to share around this.

Homepage - Widget for planned bill payments
Widget for planned supplier bill payments - either a summary of total by planned date, or detailed view of the next planned date payments by supplier (e.g. flexes to show planned payments in current week). Helpful for review prior to batch payment runs.
60 votesAppreciate the insight around why a view of planned bill payments would be helpful - Thanks for feeding back on the new Homepage 😊
Our product team are closely monitoring feedback we receive on this experience here, and we'll share if there is any update for this with you all.

Homepage - Global Practice setting
Would be great to customise the Homepage across all your 450 clients at once via a global setting. Then deal with outliers individually on their own homepage.
Not sure why it's designed for single org users only. Need a way to do this on scale please!
74 votesAwesome to hear you're getting a feel of the homepage, Charles. Thanks for taking your time to feedback on what changes would make the most impact for you.
I'll make sure to share your feedback with our product teams. For now we'll get a sense of interest from others in the beta here, and I'll keep you updated if any plans for a global setting are made.

Dashboard - Allow custom or extended timeframes (12+ months) for Cash In and Out widget
Can we be allowed to change the time selection on the cash in and out view (eg to 12/13 or even 18 months?) seems to be stuck on 6 months for me. I think to see trends you really need to see at least a year
18 votesHi there, thanks for the suggestion!
You're right that the current 'Total Cash In and Out' widget is fixed to a 6-month view.
While you can see longer periods by running a Cash Summary report, I understand that having that 12 or 18-month trend visible immediately on your dashboard would be much more powerful for spotting seasonal patterns.
I’ve classified this as 'Gaining Support' to see how many others would like more flexibility with this widget's timeframe

New Homepage - Ability for advisor to set defaults
Love the look and ability to customise widgets for clients. It would be great if we, as Advisors, can specify then the client can change.
Displaying the client logo in the top left is great but way too small to be effective
71 votesGreat to hear you're diving into the new experience, Michele. Thanks for taking your time to share changes that you could feel could add benefit.
We'll get a feel for the interest from other beta users from your idea here and I'll make sure to share if our product teams make any plans around this.

Homepage - Add a "Tax and Reporting" quick-link widget to the Dashboard
New layout is great now I've got used to it. I do miss the Tax and Reporting box where I had quick links to useful items such as VAT return, CIS return. Could you add this as an optional widget on the new dashboard please? Thanks.
17 votesHi Andrea, appreciate your sharing on how having a “Tax and Reporting” shortcut on the dashboard would make accessing tax returns and key reports quicker and simpler. Navigating through multiple menus can slow things down, especially when deadlines are looming.
In the meantime, you can access your VAT return directly from the Tax menu on the navigation bar for quicker access.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much this shortcut could help make compliance tasks faster and more efficient.

Homepage - Ability to sort by columns within a widget
Where there are headings in the columns of the widget, being able to SORT by that heading..
For eg, "expenses to review" can be sorted by any of the columns: "submitted by", "expenses to review" or "Amount".
This would be helpful also in CoA watchlist, Recent Invoice payments or any other unseen widgets which have a list with column headings.
56 votesIt's interesting to hear the differences in views that would be most impactful for our customers. We appreciate you taking your time to feedback on the new experience.
Our Product team are staying close to what our customers are sharing through the forum here, and if there is any update on this I'll be sure to let you know, here.

Homepage - Condensed/compact view with less white space
There's a lot of white space on the page. Can things be condensed more please?
15 votesReally good to get this sort of detail about aspects of the homepage that you feel could be condensed or removed to help with your experience of the homepage. We're continuing to get an understanding of community interest around this and hear any further detail of where within the page you feel space is unnecessary. Thanks

Homepage - Option to hide notifications (Payment services, switch back to old version, etc)
An option to get rid of the message across the top of the Home page telling us that we can switch back to the old Homepage for a short time. All it does is take up valuable realestate.
18 votesThanks for sharing this, where you'd like an option to hide notifications like this one from the menu banner, and free up some space on the screen.
We've reviewed this. and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. You might like to share this idea with any colleagues that this could benefit, so they can add their votes and comments about how they'd like this too!

Homepage - Show bank feed refresh/loading status
When refreshing the bank feed we used to get a "loading" type of notification on the old layout on the homepage when it was actively refreshing. Now nothing seems to be showing but when I switch back to the old layout I can see that it's "loading" (or if I click on the bank itself).
It's helpful to know if the feeds is "thinking" or not so I don't prematurely bug the client to fix on their end. And an overview of all the accounts that are loading is nice instead of having to click on each one. Thanks!
16 votesHi everyone, it does sound like a bank feed status indicator would be a really helpful addition, giving you a quick sense of whether your imported statement lines are fully up-to-date or still processing.
We understand how important it is to have that confirmation—without a clear visual cue, it can be hard to tell if the feed is still loading, has completed, or if something has gone wrong. Knowing the current status at a glance helps you trust the numbers and act quickly if there’s an issue.
As such, we've moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest in making bank feed status more visible on the homepage. It would be great to hear from the community and understand how this could make a difference for everyday workflows.

Homepage - Compact table-view widget for bank accounts
Please add a widget on the homepage that displays the bank accounts in a simple table format, including the account name, balance, and transactions that need reconciliation.
Overall, the new layout takes up too much space, making it difficult to fit essential information on a screen.
A more compact view without unnecessary elements would be appreciated.
And also the optin to disable popup adverts!
15 votesHi team, as we continue to closely monitor feedback about the new Homepage we really appreciate your input and feedback on the view of bank accounts here.
We understand how having a more compact view of all bank accounts to see the information you need at a glance would be useful and are picking this idea up to dig deeper. I'll be back to share any news around this with you all here. Thanks

Homepage - Chart of Accounts customise columns
I would like to customise the columns that appear in the chart of accounts watchlist. I would like have yesterday's closing balance, last month's closing balance, and the change.
I use the watchlist to monitor clearing accounts, such as daily takings clearing accounts, and being able to spot when a balance has gone awry would be very helpful not only for me but for our team who reconcile these clearing accounts.
Would be even better if we could add more than one instance of the watchlist then we could have one for clearing accounts with the columns described above, and…
47 votesReally appreciate hearing the detail of why this idea would be useful and how you use the Watchlist on the Homepage.
We value all the feedback we're receiving on this new experience from our customers here and will share if there are any changes for this planned, here.

Homepage - No Widget for the classic Expense
There is no Widget for the classic Expense Claim in the new home page options. Hence It's of no use to me.
10 votesThanks so much for sharing your feedback about the homepage expenses widget.
Classic Expenses is a legacy feature that’s no longer sold to new subscriptions, and our product investment is focused on Xero Expenses. Because of that, we aren’t planning to add a Classic Expenses widget to the new Xero homepage. We don’t have a confirmed timeline we can share for when Classic Expenses will be fully retired, and in the meantime it will continue to be available and usable in any existing plans that already have access to it and are still using it.

Homepage - Add widget showing draft bills and invoices
Create widget option to show a list view of draft invoices, and the same for bills.
14 votesThanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you, Joe.
Make sure you share your idea with any colleagues that this could benefit so they can add their vote too!
We''ll keep an eye on the traction this idea gets in the community. Thanks

Homepage - Remove business overview and shift customise button
I like the new look. Can the Business overview heading be removed and the customise button be moved up to where it is in the old homepage, next to last login? Screen real estate is very precious, especially when the client has a lot of bank accounts/credit cards that fall off the bottom of the screen and can get easily missed.
48 votesUnderstand wanting to make the most important information visible. Thanks for sharing your feedback on our new homepage here.
We're watching the forums here closely and will share if there is any updates that would help with what you're asking.

Homepage - Chatbox or notepad on Xero
A widget or chatbox where you can leave comments for accountant or business owner?
Ability to strikeoff and clear the comments/tasks. Ability to add attachments like screenshots or even videos will be a great feature for this widget.
This widget can sit on dashboard.
34 votesThanks for the clarification, Davie! We don't have immediate plans but are closely monitoring the feedback and votes this receives here. If there are any plans made for a feature like this we'll let you know, here.
