    Hi everyone, we appreciate the feedback we've received on this change and while this was an intentional change this is something our product teams are monitoring feedback of very closely and considering improvements around in the new clients experience.

    While we can't make any commitments atm I will be certain to share any plans with you all here.

  2. The ability to select multiple tax returns that are completed and have the quick action to approve or move it to out to sign or to sign state in the old Xero Practice Manager - Tax Manager is great. Unfortunately, this was removed in the new Beta version. Please bring this back.

    It's annoying to file a tax return we need to open one by one. Ok if we only have 1 or 2. At some point we can have more than 10 returns to lodge at the same time.

    Hi everyone, we understand interest and how bulk action in the new Tax Manager would improve efficiency when preparing tax for your clients.

    Tax Manager is a new experience that is currently in beta in Xero Partner Hub. Bulk actions high on the list of what's coming soon as we build features into this experience.

    We appreciate the importance of bulk actions to everyone here and will be sure to update you all as soon as this is rolled out.

  3. When you search for a client with client name, old xpm it used to search for anyone with similar name, now it has to be exact eg John James Jones, if you searched John Jones, it would come up, now it won't and you have to type John James Jones for it to appear. If you type John it will come up but what happens when you have 50 Johns to scroll through??? Please fix.

    Thanks for feeding back on the Client search, Carey. The way that search works for the new client list experience is a little different to the older experience, and partial matching is not a feature with this new search.

    While it's not in our roadmap atm, our team are keen to stay close the support this idea receives and will consider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates here.

  4. The new client information page has too much white space but the layout with the headings bigger and the line helping you to track from the heading to the actual data is OK. However when you click 'edit details' that all changes.

    • the 'old' version only showed the headings and you could expand each heading to find the places you wanted to update. Much easier to scroll through.

    • The new layout has too much white space, there is no clear difference between the headings and the titles – too much wasted time scrolling up and down trying to…

  5. All, Draft,Completed,Approved, To sign etc... each of these are now on the left side instead of the old version of them on the top - which is fine. BUT

    In the old version I could see I had 10 to approve and the admin team could see they have 12 to send out. Can we have the numbers back?

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback and would like to share an update on this idea.

    Tax Manager is a new feature currently in beta and was released early to give users access to ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.

    There are a number of additional features being worked on to enhance Tax Manager that you can read up about on Xero Central, and you'll also notice a 'Coming soon' button within Tax Manager to see what's in the pipeline.

    Showing the count of returns based on their status is something we're currently working on and I'll share again here when this is released. Thanks for your contributions on product ideas.

  6. "Ready to Start" tax returns should not show up in existing jobs. We have all these tax returns that are showing up in Job that are not related to the client, Individual Tax Return showing up under an Activity Statement Job for a company that is completely unrelated. If they tax returns placeholder is going be added it should only appear under the client tax return tab, not in an existing Job. And there should be away to turn it off.

    Hi everyone, as a quick follow to my update yesterday I am pleased to share that the first piece of work to only show ready to start returns for "active" jobs has been released.

    I'll be back again to share more progress for;

    • limiting ready to start returns to 25 on a page, and
    • change for identify related clients to only be where there is a relationship or they're in the same "taxable" client group

  7. In the current/old XPM, the system would let you know on the home page if there was a filing error on a tax return. This meant you were able to see and sort this quickly. Can we please have a Taxes widget which includes a notification when there is an error in a tax return marked as signed (so we can fix things asap).

    Appreciate the feedback and hearing what information would be most useful for you on the new Xero Partner Hub homepage.

    This is something our product team have eyes on for the longer term but there are a few other pieces of work lined up first.

    For now we'll continue to track interest of this here and I'll share as soon as there are any updates.

    Thanks for your feedback here, everyone. We appreciate hearing how we can keep developing Tax Manager to better your experience.

    As you may be aware Tax Manager is currently in beta and was released early for some users so you could access ready to start returns and the lodgment widget.

    We're currently working on other features to build on this feature and you can stay up to date with what's in the pipeline on our Xero central page.

    Filtering by partners and managers is on our radar too, and I'll shift the idea to Accepted for now, and be sure to share any progress for this here.

  9. The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

  10. Please reinstate items to be reconciled in My Xero for users with multiple accounts (companies).

    The old format alerted users to new bank transactions and allowed users to see at a glance in My Xero which companies have items to be reconciled.

    The new format doesn't which means users have to open every company to see if there has been activity. This is very inefficient and takes far too much time.

  11. The Jobs List on the Old Home Page is a useful tool as it shows the status of Jobs allocated to you with out having to navigate away. This is important when more than one member of staff is allocated to a job. Allows you to know when to review or if a job has been sent for approval without navigating away from the home page.

  12. Since the recent updates, we've noticed that once a return is marked as “archived”, it no longer appears within the job it was originally created in. Previously, archived returns remained accessible through the job.

    Could you please reinstate the ability to view archived returns within their associated job?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on archived returns in jobs. We appreciate you sharing how important it is to keep archived returns visible within their original jobs for practice management.

    This idea has now moved to Gaining support, which means our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would find this helpful to add their votes and share how this could benefit their workflow.

  13. would be good to be able to resize the widgets to show more of what is important to us individually ie: I would like to be able to make the job widget bigger to show more jobs and shrink the time summary which is not important for my particular role

    Hi team, thanks for sharing this! We can see how resizable widgets would make the Partner Hub feel more tailored to each practice. Some teams might want a big view of their Alerts, while others prefer a compact Time Summary—being able to adjust widget sizes would make the dashboard feel more like your own workspace.

    Currently, fixed-size widgets can make key information feel crowded or require extra clicks to see more rows of data.

    We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can understand the demand for a more flexible dashboard. We’d love to hear from you—which widgets would you most like to expand or resize?

  15. It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.

  16. The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
    This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Helps team members to review and prioritise jobs for a Group based on the start date when the job was received or has been scheduled to start.

    Thanks for sharing what would make the new Xero partner Hub homepage more useful to you. For now we'll get a sense of the interest from other users in a widget like this. Our product team are monitoring these ideas closely and I'll share if there are any updates.

  18. Having the paid invoices in a separate archive folder is annoying. I used to be able to see the jobs and invoices in one screen, so having them separate is too many mouse clicks away and not immediately visible. Should be one screen for invoices, with a paid indicator next to it.

    • I'd assume majority are not blind and old. Old interface is so much better.
    • I still want to see my jobs on the side.
    • Change it, it's embarrassing.
