  1. The item code on the New invoicing shows much smaller that it was on the Classic Invoicing. Example attached shows how much harder it is to read. Can this be enlarged?

  2. New Invoicing - have the document name of invoice include who it is from.

    PDF will show INV-02335OrangeCross.pdf
    INV-[inv number]_[organization ref max 10char].pdf

    Great for me as an exporter of invoices but more importantly as an importer

  3. The new invoicing doesn't work properly with Projects! A disaster for me this morning - trebled the time it takes to do my weekly Projects invoices. When it falls over because it can't find the GL Code to use, and doesn't even have subtotal and total fields....did someone forget about that when they were adding all the new empty space on the screen and screwing the work flow up?

    Hi Karen, this does sound like odd behaviour and would be good to get a closer look into. I see you've also come into our Xero Support team and they've suggested booking a time to connect and share screen so they can see the behaviour occurring for you. If you can respond to them through your My Cases they can investigate this with you 1-on-1. Thanks

  5. New Invoicing Autosave function - Does not work in Edit Mode

    When you create a new invoice the autosave function is there.
    However, if you approve an invoice and then try to edit it, then the autosave is not there and you must manually click update.
    Can you please make this feature more consistent. Either everything is autosave or not autosave. Having some aspects will create confusion and lost data

    Hi all, we appreciate the interest and hearing how you find autosave a useful feature when invoicing. At this stage, we don’t have any plans to roll out autosave to the editing of an invoice once it’s been approved. 

    We’ve made some recent improvements to autosave within the draft state of an invoice that we wanted to share with you - Our product team has optimised how invoices autosave to help reduce the lag, meaning invoices load and save faster. Thanks again for your feedback.

  6. New Invoicing has switched the position of Add from file library and Upload files. Whilst this may seem a small change, users are familiar with the order from left to right and I personally keep clicking the wrong one. Changing this order has no streamlining purpose so can it please be changed back?

    Hi Claire, you can add an expected payment date from the Awaiting payments list in Sales. Appreciate it's not quite possible from the individual invoice itself atm so have slightly updated the title of your idea here. If there's any plans of adding this here we'll let you know.

  8. Layout of invoices with subtotal breakdowns for various VAT rates. To be able to present multiple subtotal amounts before various types of VAT are applied to the invoice. I have included an altered pdf file as an example of what you would want to see on the invoice.

  9. When writing Cheques or payments would it be possible for an auto infill/ recall of the previous payment made to the Payee/Supplier, this would save time if the details are always the same and only the amount may vary, it would ensure that the correct/same account is always used giving consistency.
    Should any of the details differ then these can be input as currently but an auto infill would save me an awful lot of time as I don't have a bank feed to all the bank accounts I oversee.

    Appreciate it's been some time since you originally started this idea, John - Just to confirm what you're asking here. Would this be when adding a manually applied payment to a bill? Or when reconciling in the bank account?

  11. In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
    It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.

  12. Customer statement - with a customised due date option.

    The option to be able to email customer statements directly from Xero with a customised due date. Eg. Selecting email customer statements to 30th June and only invoices that are due up to the 30th June are generated and emailed (rather than everything that is invoiced on their customer card which in our case could be up to 12 months in advance).

    Hi Yumei, a few different bulk requests in the one here. 

    In terms of branding themes when you say you'd want to bulk update branding would this be detail within your branding themes, or the branding applied to invoices in Xero? If the latter, perhaps you'd find setting a default from your Contacts record a useful way to edit this? 

    We try to keep individual ideas separate so our product teams can get a good understanding of exactly is being asked, and others in community know what they're voting for.

  14. I want more decimal places on the Line Amount and Invoice Total to display as follow:
    1.7568 x 25.12 = 44.1309

    I can get it to show 44.1300 but I want to set it up to show 44.1309

  15. Xero and Shopify integration - Currency should not be an issue to connect both apps, foreign currency should be taking into consideration. A company can be having sales in different currency to different country. Xero and shopify please look into this issue to ensure the integration doesnt limit by the based currency for both apps.

    While we don't have any plans for extending our Shopify integration for this atm, we're watching the votes and support for this through the idea here and will share if there are any plans made.

  16. At present when you create an invoice and then use the triple dot menu and "get Link" option you are presented with a overlay which gives you the Invoice link that you can give to the customer. But this link includes an extra querystring parameter utm_source - I want a setting that stops this being added to any links.

    The links currently look like this:
    https://in.xero.com/XXXXXXXXXX?utm_source=newInvoicingGetLinkButton

    And I want them to look like this:
    https://in.xero.com/XXXXXXXXXX

    They are long and ugly looking with the UTM parameter and current I have to remove this manually from every link. I also think adding…

  17. It's not possible for customers to update their own email address eg if we send an invoice or statement to an old email address and they want to change it. Would be good if customer could update it and we just verify it. Or some kind of automated form they get to speed updating it.

    Appreciate how enabling your customers to update their own contact information would be helpful and save steps to keep accurate information and interact with your customers.

    We don't have any direct plans around this atm, however we'll continue to track the interest this idea builds through the community and share if there are any updates.

  18. To add total amount on invoices to show as word form, instead of as numbers.

    Purpose: For person who like to issue cheque, they can follow the wording amount on the sale invoice

  20. add column in invoice overview. Hi, I was wondering if I can add a column in the program in invoices overview. When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include. Now when I go to a customer and would like to check how much I charged for particular job and I don't know when it was done, I need to open each individual invoice to see description. My invoices usually include one to three lines and would be very helpful to see in one of the column…
