  1. I raise invoices for clients who provide services to government departments and have project managers involved. This requires me to send an invoice to the accounts department who may have einvoicing and to the project manager who does not have access to the financial software and therefore requires a copy of the invoice which also confirms to them that the invoice has been submitted to accounts. Would it be possible to have another option when preparing an invoice to Approve, Send (as an e-invoice) and Email all in one process?

    Interesting to here your feedback here, and would be good to get a wider sense of customers that have similar scenario here. We don't have any plans for adding this option atm, but we'll update you here if anything changes. Thanks

  2. Payment information on invoices updates automatically from information held in the payment services section of Xero. Except, using the .DOCX templates, they don't update automatically your business's bank account details.

    Scenario - you accept invoice payments direct to your business bank account. Those details are included in the invoice template. You change your bank account details. You have to update each and every invoice template you have to show the new bank account details. However, if you change your Stripe payment information for example, that information is automatically updated in your templates. Why the different treatment?

  3. When the Allocate Amount pops up to allow for Pre-Payments to be allocated to an Invoice, I find I am going between Mouse, Tab, Numeric repeatedly. We have a large number of Clients who pay weekly and build up a number of Pre-Payments. It would be a lot easier to just use the mouse. Allow for a Double Click in the box containing what is available, or Double Click in the amount allocated, or something - but there has to be a simpler method.

  4. New invoicing is missing the mark by getting rid of Classic Features. I can no longer do math when making a payment. I will often post a partial payment ie: 50% payment, I can add /2 or *.5 after the prefilled amount. I can no longer do this in New Invoicing. Why get rid of features? So frustrating now that Classic Invoicing is gone in less than 50 days. It was much more efficient to have add payment at the bottom of the invoice opposed to jumping to the top of the screen to add a payment, and now the…

I am writing to bring your attention to some significant process issues related to payments on invoices that I've encountered after using the Stripe service for just one month with only two transactions. It would be great if you could customise what text is displayed with placeholders on the client end, for example, for the [online quote/invoice link] options, I'd rather they could be displayed simply the other end, instead of the long web link which looks a bit spammy...ie 'please access your quote here' - and it's 'here' that links - as a normal hyperlink would

  8. I would like to submit a feature request for the Statement of Account (SOA) report. Currently, the SOA allows for downloading the entire account summary for a contact, but it lacks the ability to filter and download specific invoices based on types or any other granular filtering or customization.

    For example, in my organization, clients sometimes use multiple revenue streams. Invoices are categorized by these revenue streams. There are instances where my clients only need the SOA for one particular revenue stream.

  9. Why does the Supplier ABN not appear on the online invoice view? We now have to download the invoice as a PDF to see the ABN. This was not an issue with the Classic view.

  10. Ever since Xero updated the online view to hide invoice info, I get one or two clients a month asking me what they're being billed for.

    Of course all they have to is click for details, but users are funny that way... they're not seeing it, and there's really no good reason to have this info hidden. I wish there were at least a setting to show them as expanded/visible by default, or even just have the first bit revealed so people would notice that they can click to expand.

    As it stands I have people who think I'm invoicing…

  11. Classic invoicing uses shading on screen to help see the data fields. Recreate that in new invoicing. You might find you get a better response to new invoicing if users can easily see the data they are trying to work on rather than scanning a white screen. The content is fine, it just looks rubbish.

  12. Move the "add last items" in the invoicing screen. Half the time the Billable items button comes up first in its place, but then moves to a lower point on the screen. The problem is if you click on it before it moves to the lower point on screen or just as it does, you end up with the last invoiced items on the invoice that you don't want.

  13. Allow the contact's account number <ContactAccountNumber> to be included on Branding Theme invoices (and other documents).

    The <ContactAccountNumber> is allowed to be included on system default invoices.

    Hi team, it's great to hear how useful you find the quick view in bills and how this would be helpful on the invoice side to help you quickly process invoices.

    We don't have immediate plans around this but are keeping a watchful eye on the interest from the idea here and will be sure to let you know if any plans are made. Thanks

  16. It would be useful to look at an activity statement to see how much a certain contact has been invoiced regardless of whether they have paid or not. At present, I can only see outstanding balances.

  17. Be able to remove the csv file option when viewing invoices online. I have a template set up which gives a detailed description but only a total price as I do not want customers to see the individual prices. However if they view online and download the CSV they can see this detail. It only seems to happen when emailed to Gmail accounts as we don't include the invoice link in the email. I now have to put in 0's for each line item and manually enter the total amount.

    Sorry to hear you don't like this feature, Richard. We've heard from others that this helps them get a better picture of what their invoices will look like when sending to a customer and enables them to make changes on the fly without having to preview or send a copy to themselves first.

    Appreciate it might not be everyone's cup of tea and while we don't have any plans for removing this atm, we'll get a sense of the interest through the idea here.

  19. When reviewing a payment for an invoice, you need to click 3 times to review the transaction details..going into 4 screens, as it's on a separate screen (1-invoice 2-payment 3-transaction 4-transaction details). It would be more efficient to have the transaction details screen build into the same screen as the transaction screen. I don't see a need for a 4th screen, especially when you have click to go back to the previous screens when investigating multiple payments.

  20. The new invoicing doesn`t transfer the "Reference" field information to the email area and I have to retype this every time. The previous version just transferred it all. Now this means more work, having to input the reference three times in the process
    Also there is no confirmation anywhere that the files I attach are being sent. If you PREVIEW it does not show the files anywhere ?
