  1. I pay my staff on a monthly basis, but at the moment timesheet reporting can only be done weekly. Would it be possible to add a filter to be able to look at a custom date range.

  3. I feel it would be very useful that once a payroll is processed and the system uploads payslips into Xero Me that the employees either get an email from the system or the associated app notifies the employee that there is a new payslip available to view.

    I understand that Xero can securely email payslips, but I think that it would be useful for Xero had the ability to be able to automatically notify employees of uploads into Xero Me

  4. Add a date to the end of the payslip PDF file name. eg payslip_20220519 That way easy to save and file each slip without having to rename

    Just wanted to touch base regarding this idea as it's been a while since we've posted an update.

    We've reviewed the votes and comments on this idea and can see this idea has been gaining support.

    Whilst this isn't currently on our product team's roadmap, we're monitoring the activity on this idea and will keep you updated as we go.

  5. Payroll doesn’t calculate pension until after you submit the payroll/RTI, so you don’t know what the actual net payments are until submitted. Try explaining to a client that what they signed off isn’t what they actual pay.

    Thanks for this feedback on how pension enrollment currently works in Xero payroll. It’s been a little while since you raised this idea, so we wanted to check in. We can see this idea has been steadily gaining support. Our product team are keeping an eye on this idea and we will continue to share updates as things evolve.

    In the meantime, here's a tip to trigger pension assessment before posting the pay run:

    1. With the pay run in draft click Post.
    2. When the Automatic pension enrolment pop up displays, click Confirm.
    3. On the Complete Pay Run pop up, click Cancel.
    4. You can now open the draft payslip or download pay run reports with the pension deductions included.
  6. Provide the functionality to receive leave requests by SMS notification.

    Thanks for sharing your idea with the community here, Rachel. I see it hasn't really picked up interest and with the ability for employees ti submit leave requests via the Xero Me app that is accessible from a mobile device we don't have any plans for developing SMS capability.

  7. Xero should add "Add Note" to Expense Claim just like we have it on Bills to pay. This would be helpful for requesters to provide additional information or make comment on their payment requests. Thank you.

  8. Ability to change the standard Xero password when emailing payslips.

    Purpose - if emails were hacked, the current standard password (initials & birthdate) set by Xero is easily guessed. It should be possible within Xero to change this standard password.

  9. Generally working in Xero is very efficient. However, when paying approved expense claims (and recording the payment) I have to constantly switch between keyboard to type in the payment amount (which is displayed in a cell above) and the mouse to select the payment date and payment account. I can't imagine a scenario when the amount paid is not the amount approved. Why is this cell not pre-populated with the approved amount? If it was it would halve the time it would take me to register payments against expense claims.

  10. In Australia we are required to check an employee's visa status and keep a record of such.

    Additionally we have to report on this every quarter.

    It would be great to add visit status to the employment record

  12. I would like to be able to run a report on expense claims which shows who has approved them at a glance, like a payable invoice report . At the moment, you have to open each and every claim to see who has approved it.

  13. The gross to net report currently doesn't include reimbursed expenses, and possibly other things we haven't found yet so the net pay doesn't agree to the payslips! Please can we have a gross to net report that agrees to payslips? Failing that even a report that shows reimbursed expenses per employee would be better than nothing.

  14. The ability for the expenses claimant to process a negative claim where they have purchased something using their company card and subsequently received a credit for part or all of the original payment amount e.g. over charge or returned goods.

  15. Many super fund member numbers have special characters, eg, dash '-' or underscore '_'.
    At the moment, only numbers can be entered as the Member Number, which means any member numbers with special characters are deemed 'invalid' by Xero. This means we are unable to process super payments for the staff member.

  17. To assist organisations to be able to carbon offset km travelled, we should be able to pull a report from Expense Claims in an Excel format so we can add the amount of miles/km travelled to figure out travel footprint.

  18. Add in the facility to include "description" when using the expenses app.

    Its included in all other transactions, but when expenses imported via the app it loses this feature. Wouldn't be difficult to drag this line in surely?
    Purpose - would increase visibility/transparency when reviewing credit cards

  19. Client has just realised that they hadn't entered an IRD number into Xero Payroll details for one of their contractors on withholding tax. Xero Payroll allowed the submission of payday filing to go through without error or notifying the client of the missing information.

    6 months later, client is contacted by contractor to say IRD don't have any record of withholding income or tax withheld on behalf even though the details were submitted and tax paid on to IRD. Without the IRD number, IRD was unable to allocate it to the contractor's income records.

    I don't think this should be…

  20. to be able to add expenses app without having to upgrade the subscription to standard- most traders dont use Xero and we keep as managed client- but they just want the expenses app to keep receipts out their vans - ability to have expenses without the rest of the cost of upgrading to standard - lets keep costs down for folk.
