Homepage - Widget List format neurodiverse friendly
It would be great to have the option to display the widgets in list form, like the old display.
As a neurodiverse person, I work in lists. With the old version every time i logged in, i would work my way down the list of accounts, ensuring i would finish before moving onto the next. This is particularly important as we have over 10 accounts.
Currently the page feels cluttered and has no flow. I can speak for the neurodiverse community, that it is a struggle to go into the homepage and not feel overstimulated. Xero Central - Add change logs to Xero Central Support pages
Please include the date that support pages are updated and the version of Xero to which they are applicable.

Homepage | Invoices owed to you - list of outstanding
I would rather have a list of outstanding invoices (names and amounts) on the dashboard instead of a graph with the totals owed. (same layout as the recently paid invoices list which i have removed completely as its not necessary)

Atm we don't have any plans for surfacing your outstanding invoices as a list within the widget, however we appreciate feedback we've received around the graph and our team are working on some sizing updates that would enable you to remove the graph on both the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets. Homepage - Add Widget For Cash Manager
Adding Cashflow manager view into the dashboard is a helpful view to have. It will not only promote the idea of using the cashflow manager but for those who use it, will start giving dashboard views on cash forecast, balances and risks as cashflow management is an active part of small business users sensitivity.

Homepage - Improve loading
Create a "low bandwidth" version this is now so much slower than the old page on slow internet connections 271 resource requests is just stupid for a home page and 1=nearly 50mb of resources? not everyone has fiber to the building and a 250mb/s connection.
5 votesHi Geoffery, thanks for sharing this! We can see how a smoother experience on slower connections would make working in Xero more seamless, especially when you’re remote or have limited internet.
Right now, using the Xero mobile app for lighter tasks or clearing your browser cache can help speed things up, but we know a dedicated low-bandwidth mode would make day-to-day work even easier.
I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much of a difference this would make.

Homepage | Watchlist - ability to colour code
Making the watchlist more customisable. Would love to colour code based on under budget, approaching budget, over budget for easy management of spending.

Navigation - Add link to go into Files from the menu
Add button to go straight to Files on top tool bar instead of clicking twice (once on org name) and then Files

Though we don't have plans for adding Xero Documents (previously files) the the blue navigation bar, as per our last update there is the current keyboard shortcut to open, search and quickly select this from the Search results(press '/' and then 'f').
Further to this we are also developing a new Homepage widget that'll provide an overview of your documents and ability to take quick actions. I'll return to share more on this as the work progresses.

Navigation | Global Search (magnifying glass) - Coloured invoice status in results
In search since I've used Xero, when searching for an Invoice Number - results would appear and a coloured box with the status - red for Awaiting Payment, and green for Paid. A handy visual meaning I didn't have to actually read the status.
Now in the new Search - these colours have disappeared. Why? I now have to scan up and down and actually read what it says without my visual guide. Demo Company - Prioritise Demo Company for new feature rollouts
Could the Demo Company please be updated first when new features are being rolled out. Often want to test how a new feature works (eg the current Investment Boost in Fixed Assets) or take the Staff through training on the new features, without having to do this in a Client's live data.
If the Demo Company can have the features first, then can do testing and training of staff before see in the Client's live data.

Navigation - Quick access to last few pages accessed
On the taskbar, it would be useful to have a dropdown option to link through to the last few pages that you have accessed. Maybe the last 10 pages accessed would be good, a mixture of recent searches and recent transactions. I know QBO has this and I use it a lot for navigating.
For example, when I run a P&L and drill down to a specific bill, sometimes I would make an amendment to said bill. When I save and go back it spits me out at the CoA when I want to return to the P&L. So instead…
5 votesHi team, appreciate the thoughtful feedback in your idea here and while not a complete solve for what's being asked I did want to highlight for this specific scenario you may find favouriting reports useful. This will make that report easily navigable from the Reporting menu in our new navigation 🙂
Also, just another tool that might help to find items that have recently been edited - the History & Notes could be used and filtered to quickly see what transactions have been edited.
While we don't have immediate plans for enabling these sort of breadcrumbs our teams are continuously thinking about the logic and flows as they keep developing Xero features.

Navigation - View all option and dates instead of page numbers
As the title suggests. A "view all" option throughout the product would be great. Or even view a year. Far batter than having to click load more over and over again. Especially when if you click off of the page you then have to laboriously keep clicking load more again and again.
Also to have dates next to (Or instead of) page numbers in the various scrolling pages; cash coding, reconcile, etc.
Having to select a page and another and another to try and guess where the date of the transaction is is ver laborious. A couple of updates here that may help with this;
- We have added the ability to search and filter no the Reconcile page. Meaning you can quickly navigate to a Date range of statement lines you'd like to reconcile
- As we update areas of Xero you'll find the selection for how many items to view is now held (examples are in Products and services, Invoices and Bills). So, if you navigate away from a page when you return you should still see that same selection e.g 25, 50, 100 items. The only caveat to this is using incognito mode, or switching browsers

Homepage/Navigation - Softer non-high contrast bright blue colour used for banner and action buttons.
Change the high contract blue colour back to the softer on the eye colur before the recent update.
Recent update changed the font and blue background on menu banners and buttons in the desktop interface
* The new blue color is too bright, causing fonts to appear blurry and creating harsh contrast that is difficult to read.
* Request to restore the previous blue color due to readability and eye strain concernsThe old blue and new blue can be seen together in the hep chat.

User Settings - Ability to update invite user email
Individuals with the ability to manage users should be able to change and update email addresses for users rather than having to delete the user and add again.

New Homepage - Ability to hide accounts that are no longer needed
Of the seven accounts listed on my homepage, only 3 are now required. Please provide the functionality to hide / remove accounts which are no longer valid and reconfigure the layout to suit a user's individual needs. i.e. by click and dragging the boxes into your own preferred layout.

Right now, you can:
- Use Customise homepage to add or remove whole widgets (including Bank accounts and Chart of accounts watchlist), and
- Choose which bank accounts appear in the Bank accounts widget, and which GL accounts appear in the Chart of accounts watchlist via Select/Edit accounts.
There isn’t a broader option to hide individual GL accounts across the homepage, and this isn’t on our current roadmap, so we’re moving this idea to Gaining support so others can vote and add their use cases.
While we can’t commit to a change here right now, your feedback is logged and will be considered as we continue to iterate on the new homepage experience.

Homepage | Bills to pay - View for bills Due today
Hi we really need the homepage Bills widget to display bills due for payment TODAY.
We receive a lot of bills and we pay them on the due date.
Currently it is not easy to find bills due today among all the bills awaiting payment.
The widget displays overdue bills, it could easily show shows due today so we can easily display and pay them.

Homepage | COA watchlist - view all selected accounts
Please put back the full Watchlist view. The idea of a watchlist is to be able to see at a glance what accounts we need to keep a watch on. It's not 'at a glance' if the list isn't in full view and we have to scroll down.
Also, please remove the advertising and banners that clutter the homepage.4 votesAppreciate the feedback, Carol. Can see how if you've selected a large list of accounts to keep on your watchlist how scrolling the widget could be frustrating.

AU Payroll - Add employee overview calendar to widgets
Add employee homepage calendar to main homepage as a widgets. You have no idea how many employee birthdays i have missed and that would solve that problem!!!! Sounds like an easy one

Homepage | Cash In & Cash Out - differentiate P&L items or Balance Sheet Items.
The Cash In & Cash Out tab could benefit from the ability to determine if the cash in OR cash out is from P&L items or Balance Sheet Items.
For instance if a large cash injection occurred from the director you'd have a large cash in, which wouldnt match the profit. In contrast, a payment of liabilities for tax/gst may impact cash flow and skew the results for cash out.

Navigation - Quickly access Tracking Categories
It would be great if there was a simpler way to navigate to the Tracking Categories directly from the homepage.

Totally get it's still round about to the direct ask you have here, however did you know it's now possible to add a new tracking option as you enter an invoice?
Maybe this could dave you from having to go to the Tracing Settings before entering your invoice?
