  2. New Inventory Permissions - Standard user automatically gets full control of inventory. Is it possible to customise this like you have in Invoice only to View,Edit etc?

    Could we please request further customisation of inventory permissions?

    Under the current permission structure (NEW), a standard user has the ability to edit and manage inventory. However, if reduced to Invoice only, they can view inventory items (which is helpful) but they lose the ability to view all invoices for a contact. This makes it difficult for them to properly review customer purchasing history.

    Thanks for the additional feedback! Understand how having these permissions for the Standard role would be beneficial, and this is something we do want to support but don't have a clear timeframe for just yet.

  3. It would be helpful to us if we could enter a bill into Xero, submit it, and then have the option to copy all the line details of that bill to an invoice, using the Sell Price in Products and Services (if they exist as items in the catalogue).

    Some of our customer transactions are literal 'we buy in, add mark-up, and sell on' and we currently have to enter both a bill and a separate invoice to achieve this. Being able to take a bill and copy it to a draft invoice, ready for adjustments, would be very useful…

  4. Users who only have access to expenses should still be able to ask to have their permissions removed. It is ridiculous that I have access to a company expenses dashboard that I shouldn't because I don't know the subscriber and can't remove myself.

  5. I recently noticed that all Standard Users in Xero are able to edit the settings on a client subscription. Is it possible to make this permission optional, so that the subscriber can decide whether or not to grant staff access to these settings?

  6. The Organisation settings page should have collapsible headings, similar to the Reports page, for clear, concise, and faster access to settings.

    Currently, the new look of the organisation settings page is a large step backwards. It is difficult to quickly find and select a setting area that is not part of the shortcut menu options in the new look homepage/menu rollout.

    The current organisation settings page is an exercise in excessive scrolling abilities to find the setting you need to access quickly.

  7. On the new homepage, a 'transfer bank feed' option for a bank account is not available anymore as it was on the old home page. I was able to switch to the old look and complete the transfer of a bank feed, but from 2 Mar 2026 the switch to the old homepage will be disabled. Hope this fix is already in the pipeline..

  8. I have read the Xero feedback that multiple approval levels in XeroMe expenses is not on the roadmap (disspointing) but I would like to make a case for a specific situation. I have team managers that can approve other expenses, but they should not be able to approve their own expenses.

    Can we please have a check box, or option, that if someone is granted approver status, that they should or should not be able to approve their own expenses? Everyone needs a reviewer, but as it stands, if someone is granted approval rights, that individual can approve their own…

  9. abity to password lock with a master password or a requirement that to access a specifit tax return or Xero Blue file you will need to two step log in confirm access to ensure even an administrator access cant view or change a file such as the tax return and financials or the practice itself to keep its financial info secure from employees qith admin access

  10. Proposed Feature: Quote Only User Role with Restricted Inventory Access

    Introduce a Quote Only user role in Xero that allows a user to create, edit, send and approve quotes while restricting access to all other parts of the system. The user should only see the quotes they created themselves and nothing else.

    The Quote Only user should be able to create quotes, edit their own quotes, send quotes to customers, and view inventory items with read only access.   11. XERO is the only system I know which does not automatically add the hyphen between the numbers. e.g. 00-00-00 Instead XERO goes 000000 and you have to add 2 hyphens. This would just be nice!

  12. Can we please have the ability to add company logos? You have logos for the bank feeds, but when you have multiple company acocunts, adding logos woul dbe great.

  13. Make "Products and services" available under Sales, Purchases, and Accounting

    Ideally you should have access to products via:

    => Sales (apply filter to show only goods you sell)
    => Purchases (apply filter to show only goods you buy)
    => Accounting (show all no filters)

  14. Staff Permission Filter In XPM/HQ

    A filter that allows admin user to be able to select a certain XPM permission and see which staff in the business have access to it.

  15. Please remove the latest update on Xero: when you copy an invoice it automatically opens a new tab on my laptop. I have more than 20 invoices to post everyday, I do not wish to have 20 tabs on my screen in the end. Not every update is a good update. When you don't have a better update, it's better to just maintain it.

  16. Currently Product Idea notifications are either enabled or disabled.

    Which means I get a ridiculous amount of emails for every single product idea I've ever commented or voted on. And given Xero's inability to actually resolve any of these issues, the number of notifications is going up and up.

    Currently, because of the amount of complaints about the new homepage my inbox is full every morning.

    I don't want any more notifications reminding me how bad the new home page is. However, I do want notifications on a lot of the other 'Product Ideas' that I am following.

    Hi Elliot, it'd be great to get more understanding of your needs here. Is there a particular reason you'd often navigate to the Tracking Category settings? If you could share a little more on your workflow to help with sharing your feedback and helping others connect with your idea here.

  18. I find that it's extremely annoying how you can't open up payruns and employee profiles from a right mouse click in a new tab. It would be nice if the UX could cater to this for smoother and faster movements. Also with new fixed assets it would be ideal if we could click the whole asset line rather than one tiny little link - would save a lot of frustration when bulk writing off assets. Overall it shows up in Xero in a few places and would make life a lot easier if we could use intuitive commands like Ctrl…

The current signup process, while being advertised for bookkeepers actually requires a registration with the TPB as a tax or BAS agent, however pure bookkeepers categorising transactions and doing account reconciliations have no need to lodge BAS' and hence no reason to obtain a BAS agent number.

    This oversight prohibits bookkeepers from signing up to the partner program and growing the platform.

    A simple "do you intend to make lodgements for your clients - yes/no" button before the "BAS agent number" input field would suffice.

  20. I love the way the various areas have been split now (Home Sales Purchases Payroll etc)

    I would prefer that reports relating to each of those sections, be stored in their menus. IN the Reporting menu, I have 10 varying reports which make it a long menu path. If they were in their individual menus (e.g. Aged Receivables Summary in Sales menu; Aged Payables Summary in Purchase, all Payroll related reports in Payroll) it would be easier to find and more logical. You could have more reports visible as well in each Menu.

    Great to hear you like the new layout of the navigation, Jason.

    Appreciate how further customisation of reports and possible nesting under the relevant menu drop downs could be useful. We'll get a gauge of the interest in this from others in the community here.

    This isn't something we have plans for atm, but will share if this gets picked up at all.
